Chapter 31 Attorney Matt, Read My Eyes Later

Upon hearing the security personnel shout, Du Mu thought he had been exposed.

However, the footsteps did not approach his area, but instead moved away to the other side of the building.

It seems that someone else has also broken into the building.

"Are there any masters?"

Du Mu was slightly surprised, but the current chaos actually provided him with a convenient opportunity.

Taking advantage of the building's security forces being diverted, Du Mu swaggered toward a target office and once again pulled out his master key to unlock the door.

He quickly scanned the room, his gaze soon settling on a seemingly ordinary mural on the wall.

In his field of vision, the edges of the mural were emitting a faint white glow that indicated it was 'interactive', a typical quest trigger marker.

Du Mu immediately stepped forward to inspect the mural.

Sure enough, he soon discovered a hidden compartment behind the mural, which contained a small safe.

Du Mu used the master key to open the safe. Inside, there were some notebooks neatly arranged—the proper kind, you know.

The quest items are easily obtained!

Du Mu stuffed all the ledgers into the game's inventory and turned to leave.

Just then, footsteps came from the office doorway.

Du Mu looked in the direction of the sound and saw a familiar red figure standing in the corridor. It was Matt, dressed in Daredevil's uniform.

"Hey, isn't this Attorney Matt? Long time no see, you're out for a walk in the middle of the night too?" Du Mu greeted him casually.

Matt: "."

Who would come for a walk in a place like this in the middle of the night?

Matt clearly hadn't expected to run into Du Mu here again, and his expression instantly turned serious.

He took a deep breath and said in a deep voice, "Please hand over the ledgers you just received. They are important evidence of the Hand's crimes and cannot be taken away by you."

"Don't you even know what 'first come, first served' means?"

Du Mu curled his lip: "Besides that, what use is an account book to a blind man like you? Can you even read the words on it?"

“Okay.” Matt nodded.

Du Mu didn't believe it, so he took out a pen from the game inventory and wrote a few words on his hand.

"Then tell me what words are on my hand."

"do not know."

"And you still say you can see the words?"

"What you wrote on your hand is 'I don't know'."

Matt was speechless.

This person must be out of their mind.

Du Mu was also surprised. Matt's perception ability was too outrageous. He could even see words.

He looked at the other man with suspicion: "Attorney Matt, are you really blind or just pretending? You're not one of those perverts who pretends to be blind to teach people to play the piano while actually peeping at girls changing clothes, are you?"

Matt's lips twitched involuntarily: "Now can you give me the ledger? This evidence needs to be handed over to the police."

"No."

Du Mu decisively refused, cheerfully saying, "Handling it over to the police is too much trouble, with so many procedures. It's better to just hand it over to our S.H.I.E.L.D., a professional team that's highly efficient!"

"S.H.I.E.L.D."

Matt quickly searched his memory and confirmed that he had never heard of any official law enforcement agency with that name.

However, judging from Du Mu's crazy behavior, this organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. is obviously not a legitimate organization.

Matt was about to retort.

Suddenly, his keen ears caught a very subtle change.

The next moment, more than a dozen figures dressed in black ninja outfits emerged from the shadows and silently appeared in various corners of the corridor, surrounding Du Mu and Matt at the office door.

"It's you again, Daredevil! How dare you provoke the Hand time and time again! This time you're dead!"

The lead red ninja's voice was icy cold. Suddenly, he swung his right hand, sending several shuriken flying straight at Matt!
Matt reacted extremely quickly, dodging the attack with a difficult sideways movement.

Without hesitation, the red ninja drew his katana from his back and charged at Matt with a low growl!

In an instant, the two clashed, producing a fierce fighting sound.

Meanwhile, Du Mu was also surrounded by several black-clad ninjas wielding samurai swords.

Their sword-wielding postures were steady and powerful, and their eyes were sharp; they were clearly all masters of swordsmanship.

Du Mu pulled out a watermelon knife with his left hand and said coldly, "Don't blame me for not warning you, I know kung fu."

The ninjas surrounding him had indifferent eyes and ignored his words.

They moved with incredible speed, rushing forward simultaneously. Several chilling blades flashed, slashing ruthlessly at Du Mu's vital points from different angles!

Even martial arts masters would be defeated by their combined attack!

Gunshots rang out, and four ninjas fell to the ground!

Du Mu blew away the white smoke from the muzzle of the gun and shook his head: "I warned you a long time ago."

Seeing this, the other ninjas froze.

Is this what you call kung fu?!
But the ninjas showed no fear, and without slowing down, they charged towards Du Mu with their samurai swords, fearless of death!
Unfortunately, no matter how fast they were, they couldn't match Du Mu's American-style Iaijutsu.

boom! boom! boom! boom--!
Du Mu raised his Golden Desert Eagle and fired a series of shots, sending these sword masters packing.

In less than a few seconds.

Only the red-clad ninja remained on the field, locked in a fierce battle with Matt.

He caught a glimpse of the corpses of his comrades piled up at Du Mu's feet out of the corner of his eye, and a flash of anger crossed his eyes.

"Baka yarou! I'll make you shine shine!"

The red-clad ninja uttered his native tongue, disregarding his entanglement with Matt, and suddenly turned around, gripping his katana tightly with both hands, charging straight at Du Mu with astonishing speed!

Du Mu raised his hand and fired a shot!
However, the red-clad ninja swiftly twisted his wrist, holding his katana horizontally in front of him, and the bullet was deflected by the blade!
Du Mu was somewhat surprised, but did not continue firing.

He gripped the watermelon knife in his left hand, watching the red-clad ninja charge at him with the knife raised.

"Nisunai!!"

The red-clad ninja raised his samurai sword high with both hands and, with all his might, slashed down at Du Mu's head!

Just as the blade was about to fall, Du Mu suddenly raised the watermelon knife in his hand.

"Parry!"

Clang——!
The blades of the watermelon knife and the samurai sword clashed fiercely, producing a crisp and loud metallic clang!
The red-clad ninja felt a powerful recoil coming from the hilt of his sword, causing him to stagger backward uncontrollably. His body then entered a strange, stiff state, rendering him unable to move!

"Nani!?"

The red-clad ninja's eyes widened, his pupils filled with disbelief.

Before he could even regain his footing, a watermelon knife flashed past and chopped his head off to the ground!

Matt tried to speak up to stop them, but it was too late.

"You're killing someone again."

Matt's voice was low and his face was grim.

Du Mu gave him a disdainful look: "What I did was self-defense. Do you even know the law, Attorney Matt?"

Matt: "."

After taking down the red-clad ninja, Du Mu saw another group of black-clad, masked ninjas emerge from the end of the corridor, wielding samurai swords and charging menacingly towards them.

Du Mu's expression turned solemn, and he shielded Matt in front of him.

"Attorney Matt, there are too many of them. Just watch my eyes and we'll split up!"

Matt: "?"

Before Matt could react, Du Mu gave him a wink, then turned and ran.

Anyway, the look has already been given.

Whether Matt can see it or not is none of his business.
