Doomsday America

Chapter 155 An Era of Comparisons of Worstness

Chapter 155 An Era of Comparisons of Worstness (10k)

Manus the blacksmith had no intention of being friendly to Susan.

But Susan is just too good at it!

Although Susan's skill level is probably meaningless to Gavin, it wouldn't be of much use even to someone like Old Man who has already made a name for himself.

But for a young man like Manus, who is at the perfect age and usually spends his days in the countryside...

Isn't that a perfect match for your major?
And so, Susan held Manus's arm, letting that hand play with her in her lap.

She kept apologizing to Manus and said a lot of ambiguous things.

For a moment, Manus was so charmed by her that he completely forgot about how she almost killed him.

Manus even felt quite sorry for Susan; he had actually tied her up, and he was truly heartless.

After the two had been chatting for nearly twenty minutes, the mechanic Wells finally couldn't take it anymore. He slammed the spotlight down and shouted at Manus.

"Hey buddy, that's enough, we still have work to do!"

“There are eight searchlights in total, and we haven’t even finished welding the second one yet. You don’t want to get a scolding from Boss Gavin, do you?”

"Ah this..."

Hearing Wells's urging, Manus let out an unnatural sigh, finally releasing Susan's soft thigh and gently patting the back of her hand.

"Susan, I really need to get some work done, otherwise Gavin isn't a patient person!"

"How could that be, Brother Manus? Gavin is so kind; he has an even better temper than the Baron!"

Hearing Manus's words, Susan smiled and gave Manus a seductive look.

"But even if my brother is working, I can watch him. He looks the most handsome when he's working. Men are really super handsome when they're focused~"

As they spoke, Susan sat down to the side, watching with a smile as Manus and Wells got back to work.

Her gaze greatly encouraged Manus, who immediately became highly motivated and accelerated the progress of the project.

However, when Wells and Manus worked together, he couldn't help but feel strange.

After doing this for more than twenty minutes, Wells couldn't help but ask Susan a question.

"You're Susan, right? That's strange. Didn't Boss Gavin assign you any work? If I didn't know, I would have thought the three of us were in the same work group!"

"Ok?"

Upon hearing this, Susan couldn't help but purse her lips, then smiled broadly and said to Wells.

"Uncle, do you want to be in the same work group as me? If so, I can ask Boss Gavin for permission. Boss Gavin is very easy to talk to~"

"Hey, Wells, stop flirting with my girl, you'd better find someone else!"

Just as Susan finished speaking, Manus couldn't help but interrupt Wells' question.

Manus didn't care whether Susan had any work to do or not.

It felt amazing to be able to do your work and have a nice girl appreciating it; Manus didn't want to get rid of this feeling.

Thus, Susan easily joined Wells and Manus's work.

However, she mostly sat beside them watching them work, occasionally handing them water.

More often than not, she simply fell asleep leaning against a nearby helicopter...

Looking at the sleeping Susan, Wells shook his head with amusement.

"Manus!"

Finally, he asked Manus a question.

"Don't you think it's a bit strange? Logically speaking, Susan should have her own job, so why is she suddenly sleeping here with us?"

"Tch, isn't it because of my charm that I lured her here that you have the chance to admire this sleeping girl? You should be thanking my charm!"

In response to Wells' question, Manus puffed out his chest proudly and grinned, saying...

"It's a pity it's not summer now, this girl is wearing a bit too much. Otherwise, if she were sleeping like that next to us in the summer, wow, hot pants and a tank top, she'd be such a sight to behold!"

"You only get to see this because it's just the two of us together. Stop being so inexplicably sentimental, buddy~"

Manus so bluntly attributed everything to his own charm.

While Manus was still admiring himself on the rooftop, on the road in the distance...

Gavin parked his car in front of an intersection and glanced at the map.

According to the cult members, their base in Stephenwell is a full 140 kilometers away from the manor.

However, since it is also located in central Texas and near the Dallas metropolitan area, there are many highways along the way, and even more open grasslands that can avoid various towns.

With the helicopter's guidance, Gavin found it much easier to choose his route, so much so that he had run nearly 90 kilometers without encountering many groups of zombies.

As for the road sign he is looking at now.

After confirming the situation with a single glance, Gavin turned on his walkie-talkie and spoke simultaneously to the people in the car and the crew in the helicopter.

"Willy Mills is just ahead, then Clifton. We're less than 60 kilometers from Stephen Will, and we should be there in about 40 minutes!"

"That's great, boss!"

Upon hearing this, Barn, whose face was covered in scars, couldn't help but grip the gun in his hand tightly!

Back then, that damned fat guy died too quickly, and he didn't even have a chance to vent his hatred!
As for now, he can't wait!
Seeing Barn's increasingly ferocious gaze, Father Hogan, who was in the back seat, sighed softly and then spoke to Barn.

"Don't worry, my child. The Lord will not only forgive our sins, but also reward our holy war. We are destined to have a smooth journey, and you will get what you want. That is the Lord's compensation to you!"

"Heh, the Lord should indeed compensate me, but I don't need His compensation, because when He arranged this shitty fate for us, it wasn't your Lord who saved us from this sea of suffering, but Gavin!"

Barn immediately replied to Father Hogan, then anxiously opened the window and took a deep breath.

Hearing Barn's increasingly heavy breathing, Father Hogan smiled and said softly.

“That is true. After all, at the moment Gavin saved you, he was the Lord’s spokesperson, and he saw your suffering just like the Lord.”

“But I also witnessed the evil deeds of the devil, and I saw them with my own eyes and experienced them firsthand. I’ve had enough, Father. All I want now is to send those devils to their deaths. If you can’t get your Lord to send me to those cultists in an instant, then shut your mouth!”

"At least for now, I have absolutely no desire to pray, not at all!"

Barn growled at Father Hogan, and Hogan nodded in understanding.

Meanwhile, in the passenger seat.

Nikita, who had been listening to everything, pursed her lips, picked up a bottle of cola, and handed it to Barn.

"Barn, have some Coke."

"Uh... thank you, big sister!"

Barn's face finally showed some emotion. He tried his best to compose himself and seriously accepted the Coke that Nikita handed him.

Barn smashed the bottle cap open with the muzzle of his gun and took a big gulp of ice-cold cola. He only stopped when his throat felt like it was being slashed by a cold knife.

As he put down the Coke bottle, the pilot's voice suddenly came through the walkie-talkie.

Sean spoke to Gavin in a serious tone.

"Commander Gavin, I think I've made an unexpected discovery. My students spotted a moving vehicle next to a detached two-story building about two kilometers to our northwest!"

"Is it?"

Upon hearing this, Jia Wen instinctively took out a map and looked at the location two kilometers to his left.

It was a small road that extended from the main town of Willymills, connecting to a loosely populated residential area, far more scattered than the wealthy neighborhoods of a typical city.

After confirming the location, Gavin spoke to flight instructor Sean.

"Sean, can you see the situation with the zombies over there? Are there more zombies than we expected?"

"Of course not, boss. I only saw a few hundred zombies in Willy Mills town. There were no other zombies on the road that car was driving on!"

Sean quickly agreed, while Gavin nodded emphatically and said...

"OK, you lead the way, we'll go after them and see. Spending a little extra time for a living person is definitely not a waste of time!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Gavin immediately turned around, circled a roundabout, and chased after the helicopter.

The helicopter was much faster than their car. In just one minute, the vehicle driving through the residential area was surprised to see the helicopter in the sky.

Once he was sure the car had noticed him, Sean piloted the helicopter to guide the car's direction.

Soon, Gavin's Knight XV encountered a Ford F-150 pickup truck guided by Sean.

"God, are you an army? You must be a military unit, right? I'm finally saved!"

"You have no idea what I've been through these past few days. I almost got killed by those zombies, there were just too many of them, damn it, I... Holy crap, Gavin?! Am I dreaming?"

Just as he finished speaking, Gavin happened to roll down the car window.

The moment he saw Gavin's face clearly, he froze.

Seeing the stranger's stunned and surprised expression, Nikita couldn't help but show a proud look, and a hint of pride appeared in her eyes.

At the same time, Gavin reached out and grabbed the stranger's arm, smiling as he asked the stranger.

"You read that right, man, I'm Gavin, Gavin King of the Cowboys!"

"I...I'm fucking dreaming. Wait, I'm Tom Eivor, you can also call me ZT. I'm a DJ, you know~"

Yes, zt is a Black man, but he doesn't look particularly Black; he doesn't look like a Black man at all.

Judging by ZT's skin color alone, Gavin even thinks he's a bit whiter than Curry, who plays basketball, but his messy afro is full of racial characteristics of black people.

As for his DJ job, well...

Even his speech had a melodic quality, which was certainly worthy of his profession.

Seeing that ZT recognized him, Gavin glanced at his car and asked.

"Are you all alone, buddy?"

"Of course, where else would I find other guys? I'm lucky to have survived. It's all thanks to my faith, you know, faith!"

As zt said this, he raised his hand and unzipped his clothes, showing Gavin a bunch of necklaces he was wearing.

Gavin couldn't help but roll his eyes as he looked at the pile of necklaces. He saw not only crosses and six-pointed stars, but also the Eye of Horus, a jade Guanyin statue, and even a small statue of Guan Yu!

This is quite a diverse range of beliefs...

In the back seat, Father Hogan's expression was indescribable, because he still saw a small Spear of Longinus on ZT's neck...

Seeing that his jewelry had attracted everyone's attention, ZT grinned mischievously, then zipped up his jacket and asked Gavin a question.

"It is because of my pure faith that I am so lucky. I actually ran into the famous Gavin on the street. You guys even have a helicopter, God!"

"What do we do next, buddy? Now that we've run into each other, don't even think about shaking me off. I'll stick to you like glue!"

"Where are you going? Are you camping around here? You..."

"zt!"

Seeing that ZT's words were just like Old Mike's when he was excited, unable to stop, Gavin immediately interrupted him and then said to him softly.

"I have things to do right now and don't have time to take you for a walk. Give me your map, and I'll draw a line for you. Just follow my route, and you'll find my campsite!"

Before ZT could agree, Gavin grabbed the map from his shirt pocket.

Seeing this, ZT was slightly taken aback, and then simply stuck his head into the window of the Knight XV car to take a look at the people inside.

After his gaze swept over Barn's scarred face, and seeing Barn's eyes filled with rage and hatred, zt couldn't help but shrink back and whisper.

"Okay, I can tell you guys are up to something big. Your weapons are fucking awesome, like something out of a movie!"

"And I like your style. You even bring a priest with you when you go out for a gunfight. Are you going to send your enemies to their graves while you're fighting?"

“Gavin, I don’t want to miss out on this big event, and I don’t want to run around alone again. It’s so damn lonely.”

"How about this, I'll go to war with you. Whether you're killing people or zombies, I don't mind contributing!"

“You guys have a really good car. This thing must be really bulletproof. I’m not scared, buddy. I’m not a coward. I’ve got a gun too. Let me go with you guys. I really don’t want to go it alone anymore. It’s awful!”

At this point, ZT pursed his thick lips and grabbed Gavin's rearview mirror like a rogue.

Gavin glanced at ZT's outfit while watching ZT's actions.

This guy looked to be only twenty-four or twenty-five years old. He was quite strong, and you could see some thick pectoral muscles on his neck that was exposed outside his collar.

As for whether this little black guy might be a bad person?
Stop fooling around. When this little black guy saw them, he practically wanted to stick to them.

This behavior aligns with the mindset of most lone travelers in the apocalypse, especially those forced to become lone travelers.

It cannot be ruled out that some people may actually prefer the feeling of being alone.

But for most people, loneliness is not a feeling worth reminiscing about, so zt's behavior is still quite normal.

Overall, ZT seems to be just an ordinary survivor who is unlikely to cause any harm. Even if Gavin takes him along, he doesn't think ZT will cause him any trouble.

As for whether zt might be a spy for the Holy Fire Cult...

Stop joking around. Let's not even talk about the fact that ZT doesn't have the Holy Fire Cult's symbols.

It's just that if the Holy Fire Cult had the ability to send spies to random residential areas more than 50 kilometers away from their stronghold to lie in wait for them.

What's the point of Gavin fighting then?

How powerful is the Holy Fire Cult?

Thinking of this, Gavin continued marking the route to the manor on ZT's map while casually asking ZT a question.

"Are you sure you want to work with us, even though we just met?"

"Of course, buddy, someone like you surrounded by buddies would never understand how I feel. All I want right now is to hug you guys tight and have a good chat with you!"

zt quickly replied to Gavin, and as he spoke, he tentatively opened the back door and gestured towards the priest with his lip.

"Pastor, could you make room for me? I don't have anything worth keeping in my car. I just want to join the group."

"By the way, what are you going to kill? Can I help? Unless your target is the Tyrant from Resident Evil, I wouldn't mind lending a hand, really~"

As they were talking, Father Hogan had already made room for him, and ZT simply got into the car.

When he finally sat down, he gripped his legs tightly, his whole body trembling with excitement!

He was so eager to see a living person; he hadn't seen a single one in the past eight days!

As for what Gavin and his group's goals are...

Honestly, even if Gavin said they were really going to take down a tyrant, zt wouldn't mind going all out with Gavin.

If it's the end of the world for a person, then it's better to just die. At least that's what ZT thinks!
Seeing that ZT had already gotten into the car, Gavin pursed his lips and tossed the map he had just drawn to ZT.

Taking the map, ZT looked at Gavin with a fawning expression and asked.

"So, buddy, can I stay?"

"You're already on the bus, so do you want me to kick you off?"

Gavin chuckled and joked, then drove on toward the stronghold of the Holy Fire Church.

Enjoying the feeling of the car moving forward, ZT continued to ask Gavin questions while flipping through the map.

"Hey buddy, you still haven't told me where you're going. I escaped from Hillsborough. You're not planning to go to the place I ran away from, are you?"

"Stop joking! That place is way too close to Dallas and Fort Worth. There are terrifyingly many zombies there, and countless zombie dogs too, damn it!"

"Hillsborough and Cape Carr host huge dog beauty pageants every month, there are so many dogs there you can't even count them all, you'd better not go to those places!"

At this point, ZT took a deep breath, clearly indicating that his escape from Hillsborough was not an easy experience.

Gavin, on the other hand, astutely noted down the doomsday intelligence provided by zt.

The Hillsborough and Cape Carl areas are home to a huge number of zombie dogs!

At the same time, we must address the long-standing issues surrounding zt.

Before Gavin could answer, Barn, in the back seat, growled coldly at ZT.

"Can you shut the hell up, you bastard? We're not in the mood for you. We're on our way to deliver eternal life to a bunch of cultists!"

At this point, Barn let out a sigh of annoyance, then gulped down a large mouthful of ice-cold cola. Watching Barn drink his cola, ZT couldn't help but pause, then hesitantly approached the driver's seat and whispered to Gavin.

"Ahem, Gavin, if I may be so bold, the guy who just insulted me looks more like a cult member, and a fanatical one at that. Even his face..."

"Fuck, I got my face slashed by cultists, you piece of shit, can you shut up, you chatterbox!"

Barn was so frustrated he almost smashed the bottle at ZT.

Seeing how angry Barn was, ZT grinned and spread his hands out to Barn.

"Ah, I see. No wonder you guys wanted to take on a cult. In that case, I support you. I can back you up later, but that's all."

"Which cult are you looking for? There are plenty of cults in the Fort Worth area. Let me guess, you're not going to join the Church of David, are you?"

"Stop joking. The lunatics' hideout should be near Weatherford, only about 80 kilometers away from us."

"Wait, stop frowning, buddy, I can't fucking see your scars anymore."

"Wow, did you get your face slashed by the Holy Fire Cult? Your scars make you look like those idiots from the Holy Fire Cult when you smile. Before the apocalypse, those penniless guys even stole prostitutes' jobs when they were broke, and they couldn't even beat ordinary prostitutes to them."

"Who could resist a bunch of girls dressed in nun's uniforms? I certainly couldn't. It's a pity they charge so much. At least eight hundred dollars a night per person. I can barely earn eight hundred dollars a week, damn it!"

At this point, zt shook his head regretfully.

"If I had known the world was going to end, I would have definitely gone after them. After all, I'm a devout believer, and of course I would have crushed those little bitches among the heretics in the glory of the Lord!"

"Believe me, I'll make them scream and cry while I grab their hair and yell 'Hallelujah!'"

"It would be even better if any of them had a few demons inside them. That way, maybe after one night, I could have a demon-exorcising bird!"

"Oh, God……"

Hearing ZT's words, Father Hogan swallowed hard.

He increasingly felt that his mission of spreading the gospel was a long and arduous one.

As for Barn, although ZT's words were quite infuriating, Barn couldn't help but laugh when he heard ZT's jokes, which sounded like a stand-up comedy routine.

While trying to suppress a laugh, a faint pain appeared on my face.

Barn leaned against the car window and said to ZT with a cold smile.

"Don't even think about it today, Blackie. You won't get a single living member of the Holy Fire Cult today!"

"Believe me, even if there are women among the cult members, I will tear them to pieces!"

"Wuhu, that's really exciting! Can you leave me a nice butt? My butt is enough for me, the rest is up to you, baby~"

ZT laughed and raised his hand, extending it in front of Barn in a high-five gesture.

Seeing this, Barn hesitated for a moment before finally taking a deep breath and gently touching hands with ZT.

Watching ZT blend into the group in the blink of an eye, Gavin couldn't help but exchange a glance with Nikita.

Nikita pursed her lips and shrugged at Gavin.

It must be admitted that while Black DJs have all sorts of flaws, when it comes to creating a lively atmosphere, they are absolutely professionals, especially Black DJs.
And so, with DJzt's help, the car, carrying a rare bit of a lively atmosphere, drove through Willy Mills, Christon, Meridian, and Eldell, finally bypassing Hickor City.

The vehicle circled around Hicko City, avoiding a series of zombie-infested locations as directed by the helicopter.

We finally arrived near Stephenwell.

Upon arriving here, Gavin and his group had no choice but to search for the location of the Ogan Cemetery.

Logically speaking, a family's private cemetery should not appear on a map.

Fortunately, the Ogan family cemetery has been opened to the public in the last twenty years due to the family's financial difficulties.

The Ogan Cemetery has also been transformed from a family cemetery into a semi-public cemetery.

Apart from the graves of the Ogan family's deceased, a large portion of the Ogan Cemetery is open to the residents of Stephenwell.

So, there's actually a small sign for the Ogan cemetery on the map!

At 10:14 AM.

Knight XV slowly came to a stop about 800 meters from the Ogan Cemetery.

In the sky, Sean piloted his helicopter, continuously patrolling the Ogan Cemetery area.

Inside the car, Gavin turned on the intercom and spoke softly to everyone.

“We’re here, guys. Now I’ll tell you our plan to storm the cult camp.”

"Later, we drove into the cemetery, and then Barn and I went to the secret tomb that the cultists had mentioned, to try to knock on the secret passage leading to the cult's headquarters."

“Most people in Texas recognize my face, and I was their original target, so they might not easily target me.”

"As for Barn, he can use the scar on his face to claim that he is also a member of the cult. Although there is a bit of risk in doing so, the other party may not do anything to him because of the fresh Holy Fire scar."

"Sean, you stay in the helicopter and keep an eye on things from the air. If we manage to break in, you need to prevent any cultists from escaping through any possible secret passages."

"Although I didn't find out if they had any other escape routes, even if they did, they wouldn't have dug more than ten kilometers underground."

"The helicopter's field of vision is enough to cover several kilometers around. As long as any other vehicles besides ours start moving, Sean, take the helicopter and chase after them."

At this point, Gavin hung up the intercom and then simply drove the car into the cemetery.

The Ogan family cemetery is indeed quite large, which is consistent with a series of policies regarding land sales in early America.

During the westward expansion era, land in the American West was so cheap that even the world's largest ranch, the Wagner Ranch in Texas, was bought by the first Wagner chief for only $800, who then continued to develop the land.

Of course, the US dollar was still quite valuable in 1849, but in any case, the price was somewhat exaggerated compared to the size of the land.

Texas has over 250,000 ranches of varying sizes because of the westward expansion policy of that time.

Back then, the West was sparsely populated, and you could easily buy at least a thousand acres of land for just a few dollars.

Texas's traditional farm culture also gradually fermented and took root in this environment.

Thus, Knight XV crossed countless tombstones and followed the road to the vicinity of the many burial chambers in the most central location.

Looking at the dozen or so tombs of varying sizes in front of him, Gavin focused his gaze on the third tomb from the left.

Because only on the roof of that tomb chamber were there three crosses of different sizes!

Following Gavin's gaze, Father Hogan's eyes also fell on the cross. He took a deep breath, then put his hands together and whispered something.

“The glory of the Lord is often used by the devil, what a blasphemous act this is! At this moment, I will surely raise my sword and destroy evil!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Father Hogan held the crucifix in his left hand, drew his revolver with his right, and skillfully pushed open the magazine to check it.

ZT, who was also inspecting the firearms, couldn't help but purse his lips and sigh.

"Damn, that's so cool, Priest! Looking at you, I have a feeling you're about to unleash a gunfight any second now, haha~"

Amidst the laughter, Gavin parked the car in front of the tomb chamber and looked around.

There was no one in sight at all.

Because the cemetery was far from residential areas, Gavin couldn't see any zombies in his field of vision; the silence was chilling.

In the passenger seat, Nikita couldn't help but grab Gavin's wrist, gently kiss the back of his hand, and whisper to him.

"I'm in the car, ready to help at any time. Please be careful, darling."

"Don't worry, I'm wearing a bulletproof vest and a cowboy hat~"

Gavin nodded and patted Nikita's hand in comfort.

Then he turned to Barn and asked.

"Barn, are you ready?"

"Of course, I've been waiting for this moment for far too long!"

Barn gritted his teeth and said, then decisively pushed open the car door, grabbed the AR12 shotgun, and jumped out.

Gavin jumped out of the car as well, and the two of them, one in front of the other, cautiously approached the tomb chamber and observed it for a moment.

The environment was still quiet and empty, so Gavin and Barn exchanged a glance before stepping into the tomb.

After circling the tomb twice, Gavin spotted the sliding marks under the statue of the Virgin Mary with just one glance.

Seeing this, Gavin pointed to the marks with amusement and said.

"This mechanism looks quite old, and it doesn't seem to have any defensive measures."

"I don't care about any of that, boss. I just want to find them and take them down!"

Barn responded, then took his gun and came behind Gavin, pointing the muzzle at the statue.

Gavin then followed the marks left by the pushing and pulling, and with little effort, he pulled the statue of the Virgin Mary out.

Right below the statue of the Virgin Mary, a wooden trapdoor still covered in moss is clearly visible.

Gavin tentatively knocked on the trapdoor, but only received a hollow knock.

Gavin then raised his hand and gestured for Barn to take a few steps back. As Barn took two steps back, Gavin carefully pulled the trapdoor.

As he pulled, he listened intently to the sounds around him.

He was worried that there might be a grenade or something similar tied behind the trapdoor...

However, even after he pulled the trapdoor wide open, he didn't see any grenades; everything in front of him was utterly ordinary.

If it weren't for the fact that the door was hidden inside the tomb, Gavin would have thought it was just an ordinary cellar.

At this moment, after the trapdoor was opened, a dilapidated staircase under repair came into view.

Gavin turned on the flashlight on the right front rail of the HK416 and shone it at the end of the stairs. There were only fourteen steps leading down to the top of the stairs, where there was an old-fashioned iron door with a sliding observation window.

Seeing the iron gate, Gavin finally felt relieved. He would have been quite hesitant if they could just walk right in.

It felt like the other person was playing a ruse on him.

but now……

Gavin nodded to Barn, then took the lead, descending the steps and stopping in front of the iron gate.

At this point, Gavin took a deep breath and then knocked heavily on the door.

Boom boom boom!
Suddenly, a knocking sound came from the floor below.

As he knocked, Gavin confirmed that there really was no doorbell on the iron gate.

After he banged on the iron gate for more than half a minute, a cursing voice came from the other side.

"What the hell are you doing? This door isn't locked, you know that..."

"Ok?"

Upon hearing the sound coming from the other side of the iron gate, Gavin's eyes widened suddenly, and he shoved the door in front of him hard!
Boom!
After a muffled thud, the iron gate remained motionless. Gavin, after a slight pause, grabbed the doorknob and yanked it hard!
Wow...

"grass!"

Gavin couldn't help but curse. He never expected that he wouldn't need to call anyone to open the door. The door had no lock, no bolt, and no latch!

That's incredibly unprofessional, at least in Gavin's eyes.

As Gavin pulled open the iron gate, the figure approaching it from the other side finally couldn't help but pause in surprise.

He stood there suspiciously, swallowing hard as he scratched his bare legs, which were completely naked, and couldn't help but look at Barn's face as he spoke.

"Who are you? I've never seen you before... Wait, Gavin! Holy crap, they actually invited you? That's fucking awesome, haha, come play with us, haha~"

As they spoke, the guy, who was naked except for a shirt covering his upper body, revealing a hairy belly and chest, and whose face also bore the scars of the Olympic flame, waved to Gavin in a daze.

Gavin couldn't help but narrow his eyes as he looked at the crooked and unsteady appearance of the cultists.

This cult member has definitely taken a lot of drugs!

The way he walks is almost like a zombie!
Gavin then strode up to the cultist, grabbed his head, and shoved his face against the wall.

Boom!
After a muffled thud, the cultist actually collapsed!
The cultist's swift and decisive fainting caused Gavin and Barn to exchange a glance.

Damn it, God knows how much mental preparation they did before they stormed here!
Gavin was alright; after all, he was a man of the world, and even if he was a little nervous, he was able to control himself well.

But Barn was prepared to die here. When he followed Gavin into the basement, he even imagined how he would die.

He felt that even if he died, he would bravely take down at least one cultist. He would pull the pin on his grenade before he died, then bite the cultist's neck, tearing off a piece of flesh from the cultist while exploding to ashes along with the cultist!

But actually...

Looking at the unconscious cultist lying on the ground, Barn swallowed hard, and couldn't help but ask Gavin a question.

"Boss...we've...taken one down?"

"Screw it, this is a race to the bottom!"

Gavin gave a curt reply and then waved to Barn.

"Come with me, we'll take care of them all first, then you can send them to their deaths one by one!"

"I...I'll listen to you, boss."

Barn swallowed hard and nodded. The two of them then passed the unconscious cultist and entered the dimly lit corridor, following the sounds coming from afar.

The corridor wasn't very long, with two rooms on each side, but neither room had lights on, and they weren't Gavin's primary targets.

Gavin walked to a door at the end of the corridor. The door was open, and bright light shone out from inside.

Meanwhile, a lot of noise was constantly coming out from inside the door.

After standing at the door, Gavin raised his index finger in front of him to remind Barn to stay calm, while he himself leaned over and glanced into the room.

At a glance, Gavin immediately saw two gambling tables, on one of which a man and a woman were lying down, clearly fighting, and without any clothes on.

At the end of the two gambling tables, there was another open door. Through the door, Gavin could vaguely see a naked man tied to a chair, with the cracking sound of a small leather whip following him everywhere.

At the same time, there was a foot wearing red high heels standing nearby, which looked... like something out of a horror movie.

Seeing this, Gavin swallowed hard, then waved to Barn and strode into the room with a strange expression.

Barn followed Gavin in a daze, watching helplessly as Gavin approached the gambling table and punched the man in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious.

As the man collapsed from exhaustion, the woman remaining at the gambling table narrowed her eyes in surprise, then immediately wanted to call out to Gavin for appearing.

She promised she only wanted to shout her idol's name!

Before she could even utter a sound, Gavin punched her as well.

After circling around, Gavin pointed at the two men and gently patted Barn on the shoulder.

Seeing this, Barn swallowed hard and nodded, then pointed the sprayer at the two unconscious men.

Gavin silently held his gun and walked to the door at the end of the gambling table.

Looking through the door, one sees a rather luxuriously decorated bedroom, where a woman lies sprawled out on the bed, completely motionless…

Next to the bed was the chair with the person strapped to it; the simple layout made Gavin's scalp tingle...

After confirming the situation again, Gavin rolled his eyes and then walked in openly.

The moment he walked in, the bound man suddenly revealed a horrified look in his eyes.

"Hmm? Uh? Dirty! Ugh!"

The man struggled desperately while constantly glancing in Gavin's direction.

but……

Looking at the man, the woman holding the whip stomped her high heels hard and said to him with a coquettish laugh.
