Chapter 85: Author's Note on the Release of This Book! More to come tomorrow! And a summary of

Author's Note on Chapter 85's Launch! Ten chapters tomorrow! And the journey of writing this book!

It will be available tomorrow, so let's get to the important parts first.

It will be released promptly at 12 noon tomorrow. Ten chapters.

No empty promises, no mention of any subscription conditions, just ten chapters delivered straight away! That's the bare minimum!

Asking for a first subscription isn't too much to ask, is it?!

Bonus chapters:

If the initial order can reach 3000.

For every 500 additional subscriptions, one more chapter will be added.

For every additional 500 monthly votes, one more chapter will be added.

As for the leader of the alliance, let's tentatively add five more chapters. (I haven't received this before, but it seems like most people are doing the same.)
Silver Alliance. I dare not even think about that. How about adding 20 more chapters?

The Golden Alliance is not writing anymore; that's impossible.

Of course, even if I don't reach my goal, I will occasionally add more chapters. I promised many brothers before the book was published.

As for the exact amount, it's uncertain; it depends on the situation.
I won't sacrifice quality by writing haphazardly; I'll compile the statistics and let everyone know at the end of each chapter.

As for writing, it's part-time, so I don't have much free time. As many readers who follow the comments probably know, I often reply to comments at five or six in the morning.

I get up at 5 a.m., write until 8 or 9 a.m. before going to work, and continue writing after get off work.

On the other hand, writing this kind of subject matter definitely requires a slow pace; a lot of research is needed, and the writing can't be rushed; the process needs to be mentally simulated, which is very time-consuming. (There's also the need to find ways to circumvent censorship.)

Of course, these are not excuses; I will definitely keep my promise.

I received so much support during the new book period – monthly tickets, tips, encouraging comments – all of which made me very happy.

Some readers also want to write books, which I will discuss later.

I'll just say whatever comes to mind. As for the giveaway I promised, I'll create a group chat for all subscribers after the product is released. Just join the group and we'll keep in touch there.

There are also many like-minded friends discussing this book, discussing dragons and snakes, discussing divine strategies, and discussing the works of Guhuoniao and Yeyu Piaodeng (of course I've read the books by these two great authors; we've known each other for a long time!).

This makes me happier than the grades in the book; nothing is more important than like-minded friends.

There are some flaws that have been criticized by many readers, and I will make changes. Don't worry, I'm not the kind of person who is stubborn and tries to lecture readers.

Of course, some people also criticized it.

Criticisms about the lack of updates are unavoidable during this new book season. The new book ranking is capped at 20 words; once you exceed that, you're off the list. Of course, I also want to earn some money. I'm not trying to play the victim, but working hard on my book will definitely lead to some financial gain.

Accusing it of plagiarism of the novel "Gu Huo Niao" is probably too much to ask. Apart from the fact that the main characters all have terminal illnesses at the beginning, there shouldn't be anything else. This shouldn't be considered plagiarism.
I can understand those who criticize traditional Chinese martial arts as being ineffective. Traditional martial arts can't possibly be as powerful as those fictional martial arts novels or stories about Chinese martial arts; that would be mythology.

However, traditional martial arts are not entirely ineffective in combat, nor should they be dismissed as worthless.

The combat techniques that evolved from military formations must have something unique about them, otherwise, were all the generals who led troops in ancient China fake?
As for how many of these legends are true, that's not up for discussion.

Just like reading fantasy, there's no need to actually believe the fantasy stories.
What we're looking for is a story, a thrilling read, a tale of resisting invasion, the spirit of Chinese martial arts, and decisive action.

Let me tell you about the origin of this book.

The author first encountered Dragon and Snake in junior high school, around 2008 or 2009. He was so engrossed in reading it that he forgot to eat and sleep, and at one point even thought that all the stories in it were true.

He went to the park every day to see if Tang Zichen's breath was sharp as a sword.

Well, I didn't see Tang Zichen, but I saw quite a few old men.

But don't tell me, really don't tell me.

Due to its geographical location, the place where the author grew up is very close to Huo Yuanjia's hometown, only a few dozen kilometers away, and also very close to Cangzhou, the hometown of martial arts.

I do often see people practicing kung fu in the park, though of course none of them are as amazing as Sister Tang.

I vaguely remember a man in his forties, very strong, slapping the exercise equipment (the kind of iron exercise equipment you see in squares) with his arms.
Dangdang~
Dangdang~
It wasn't a light tap; the force was so strong that my arm would probably swell up if I hit it.

All I can say is awesome.

The sound could be heard hundreds of meters away, and there was no live broadcast at that time, so there was no point in faking it.

Of course, there was no follow-up story, and the guy went back to school.

But now that I think about it, I find it amusing.

Later in high school, I read many novels, and reread Dragon and Snake several times. I still thought it was amazing, and then I thought of writing a sequel to the Dragon and Snake story. At that time, it was about 11 years old, and I didn't understand the concept of fan fiction.

I didn't even know to publish my book on Qidian. (Yes, all the Dragon and Snake books I read back then were pirated; sorry, Shenji.)
What was the hottest thing back then?
Baidu Tieba!
So every day during lunch break in high school, I would go to an internet cafe to write the sequel to the story. I wrote about 20,000 to 30,000 words and posted them on the Longshe forum.

But I didn't use Tieba much back then, so I didn't pay much attention to it. I only remember that it was later featured.

Later on, I let it go completely.

After graduating from university, I wanted to find the dragon and snake fanfiction I had written, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I remember the gist of it.

Three years after the end of the Dragon and Snake story, Huo Ling'er, holding Dan, wants to compete with Sister Tang for Wang Chao. The two then have a duel in the Arctic, with Wang Chao watching. A new villain also appears to launch a sneak attack.

(You can criticize me, but this is the best I could do in high school. I think the fight scenes I wrote back then were pretty exciting.)
Sigh, I never imagined that after fifteen years, I would actually be eating the food left behind by Shenji.

Therefore, I specifically ordered all the books by Shenji who was still alive.

To make up for the mistake of watching pirated copies back then.

Let me talk about my writing experience. I'm not some reincarnated supernatural being, but I'm quite diligent. I work a regular job while writing two books at the same time, and I have several accounts.

Of course, he also worked as a eunuch.

There's not much to say about this. I'll just admit it openly: I can't write books that are too bad for my grades to afford, and I can't do it purely out of love.

I'm not trying to play the victim; to be honest, I need to make a living this way too.

Of course, this shouldn't be a problem; the data and results have already exceeded expectations.

We will update it properly when it is released.

Thanks to the editor. I have several editors, and I am very grateful to YY, the editor who brought me into the industry. Although I didn't achieve any success, he didn't care that I was a failure and kept guiding me.

Thanks to editor Chuixue.

Thanks to Chen Xiang, the editor of this book.

They are all very good people, working quietly and diligently.

I remember when I was writing my first book, I watched a lot of editors' live streams on Douyin, hoping to get some guidance and help me review the manuscript. I even bought a membership for 98 yuan.

However, during that period, the editor worked during the day and did not often do live broadcasts at night, so in the end, he was not scheduled to watch the broadcast.

But that book was still signed by YY's boss, and I'm very grateful. It's the one with less than 900,000 words in this account now.

My grades were terrible, but at least I managed to get by.

If you want to write a book, don't buy any courses or anything like that. They're useless. There are tons of people on Douyin (TikTok) who are just trying to scam you out of your money. They promise to guarantee a contract, but it's just a "Tomato contract." Do we even need to learn how to get a Tomato contract?
The key is to read more and write more.

The most important thing to figure out is why others can write so well, and how they set up the pacing and enjoyment points.

You should at least read through all the top ten books on the new book list, and read hundreds of thousands of words of each book on the Sanjiang list.

I won't go into too much detail here; feel free to contact me privately if you're interested.

Finally! Thank you to all the readers, young and old, for your support. I can only repay you by updating frequently and writing good stories.
