White Bone Demon Trail
Chapter 20 Natural Enemies Kill Each Other
Chapter 20 Natural Enemies Kill Each Other
"Hi~"
A flash of lightning struck the giant python, moving across every scale, causing Wu to let out a hiss in pain.
Immediately afterwards, bolts of lightning struck down one after another. Wu's body, tempered by demonic power for a hundred years, was already incredibly hard, but it was still unable to withstand the might of the heavens.
After the ninth bolt of lightning, streaks of blood appeared on Wu's body. It raised its head, opened its mouth and spat out a pill the size of a dragon eye, a demon core that ordinary little demons could not possibly condense!
For demonic beasts to cultivate, they must first cultivate with sufficient demonic power within their bodies, permeating their flesh and bones, and undergoing a process of cleansing their marrow and tendons, before they can begin to condense their demonic core.
Once the demon core is formed, it will possess its own innate demonic arts, greatly increasing its strength.
As Wu's demonic nature was gradually awakened, its snake eyes turned black, its demon core floated above its head, and wisps of black energy enveloped its body, condensing into a layer of black cloud armor. This technique was its innate demonic art, Sorrowful Cloud Miasma, which could transform into a sky full of poisonous mist to harm people, or it could gather around its own body to protect itself.
Bolts of lightning, carrying an aura of destruction, shattered Wu's innate demonic arts, even tearing his flesh apart, yet the lightning in the sky showed no sign of dissipating.
The ferocity of the crow was destroyed by the bolts of lightning. It looked at the lightning that was still gathering in the sky with some fear. It had already been struck by thirty-six bolts of lightning. Was it going to be struck by forty-nine bolts?
Fear arose in its heart, the greed of an old demon who had lived for hundreds of years for immortality. It lowered its body, twisted its broken snake body, and hid in the dark pit, falling from the mountain peak to the bottom of the valley.
The thunderbolts from the heavens lingered for a long time before finally striking a mountaintop.
"Boom~"
The peak of Skull Mountain was shattered by lightning, leaving more than ten feet of rock scattered everywhere.
Bai Wuxiang was startled by the thunderous roar. After the thunder, a torrential downpour began, and the summer rain drenched the mountains. His heart was filled with doubt and uncertainty.
Was this bolt of lightning a random, coincident strike on his mountaintop, or was it a deliberate act by fate?
"Chirp~"
The high-pitched cry of an eagle echoed from afar, resounding throughout Wulong Village.
A giant eagle spread its wings and hovered in mid-air, its shadow sweeping over the heads of the villagers of Wulong Village. None of them had ever seen such a huge eagle in their lives. They fled in panic, and the village was in chaos. There was noise, screams, wails and laughter. The people who raised sheep and their sheep were now no different from the sheep they raised, and they all became food for the giant eagle in the sky.
On the mountain peak outside Wulong Village, a figure stood in the wind and rain. Bai Wuxiang looked down at the various people in the village. He took out a long flute that he had prepared in advance from his waist. It was a bone flute carved from one of the nine bones that had sunk to the bottom of the cold pool.
He did not enter the village, but only appeared in a conspicuous place outside the village, reassuring the God of the Azure Sky that he was a trustworthy partner in cooperation.
Seeing his figure, Cang Shen became much bolder. He bent down and swallowed several people in one gulp to satisfy his appetite before coming to the top of the giant pit. Through the dark abyss, he saw the giant python lying on the ground, its breath surging.
"Old black snake! Today is your death day!"
With that, it flapped its wings, and gusts of strange black wind swept into the abyss, slicing across the stone walls like swords and leaving marks.
The crow at the bottom of the abyss opened its heavy eyes, a murderous intent flashing within them. It suddenly burst out of the abyss, its massive body climbing a giant peak. Even though the terrifying python was covered in wounds, it was still more imposing than the much smaller eagle.
Upon seeing their village's guardian deity, the bandits of Wulong Village knelt and worshipped, praying for the snake god's protection. A cold, sinister voice emanated from the snake's mouth, but it was a woman's voice.
"Azure Eagle, even if I failed my tribulation and was severely injured, I have been lying dormant in the deep mountains for a hundred years. How could a little demon like you possibly shake me?"
The Azure God hovered in the sky and sneered, "It's nothing but an empty body. How much demonic power will you have left after withstanding thirty-six heavenly tribulations?"
Even though I am a minor demon, if I devour your flesh and blood and eat your demon core, I will become a new great demon!
Besides, I didn't come alone. Brother Wuxiang, let's not hold back and let that old black snake get away."
Wu Xiang smiled and cupped his hands slightly, saying, "I am Wu Xiang. Today I can say that I have finally seen the face of the Serpent God."
A look of surprise flashed in Wu's eyes. "You must be the new village god of Black Stone Village. You killed my people before, but I was still at the critical stage of shedding my skin, so I didn't bother you."
"I never expected you to come here to kill me today. But with your meager demonic power, how many years of cultivation can you possibly have?"
A flash of black light appeared in her snake eyes, and a thin black snake suddenly shot out, rushing towards Bai Wuxiang with lightning speed. Clearly, this snake demon intended to eliminate the weaker enemies first to reduce their numbers.
The small snake pierced through Bai Wuxiang's brow in an instant, its speed so fast that there was no time to react.
Bai Wuxiang's body then collapsed, lying motionless on the ground, lifeless.
Upon seeing this, Cang Shen was initially startled, but then, considering the other party's strange behavior, he realized that Wu Xiang was probably feigning death to hide in the shadows and then strike. He couldn't help but sigh that this guy was truly cunning and impossible to guard against.
Wu was not surprised to see that she had succeeded in her attack. She withdrew the small black snake and stared coldly at Cang Shen, saying, "You used to always hide from me and dare not land. Now that we have this good opportunity, let's see who is the prey between us!"
Having said that, Wu raised its head, and its demon core reappeared. Rolling black mist enveloped all directions, sweeping towards the Azure God.
The Azure God flapped its wings and soared into the sky, then suddenly swooped down, carrying the clouds with it as it descended in a mighty torrent. From afar, it looked like a white waterfall cascading down from the sky and surging into the black mountain mist, stirring up layers of gale-force winds that swept away countless leaves.
Seizing the opportunity, Wu disregarded its own serious injuries and brazenly entangled itself around Cang Shen, its thick and terrifying python body coiling around the struggling Cang Shen.
Although the sharp claws of the Azure God were incredibly sharp, capable of tearing flesh and blood from the body of the Black Python each time, they could never penetrate its bones and body.
Even with the eagle's claws digging into her flesh, the excruciating pain could not break this great demon who had been lurking in the deep mountains for a hundred years. Relying on her tenacious vitality as a snake, she recklessly fought with a bloodthirsty ferocity, slowly locking the young and vigorous eagle within her mountain-like python body.
The black miasma that had been dispersed from all sides slowly rose again amidst the eerie prayers and worship of the witch from Wulong Village below, gradually enveloping the body of the Azure God and dragging it bit by bit into the abyss.
"Woo~"
A hoarse flute sound rang out, and on the mountaintop, Bai Wuxiang's fallen body slowly rose. He played the bone flute he had brought, and the mournful flute sound echoed into Wulong Village.
