Chapter 64 Gun God
Chapter 64 Gun God
Li Xia, holding his spear upside down, walked slowly along the main road of the River Valley State, his combat boots making a crisp tinkling sound as they stepped on the brick pavement.
He was wearing the treasures of the Lonely Mountain dwarves, who, before Smaug occupied Lonely Mountain, crafted all sorts of exquisite objects for the entire continent.
This unnamed armor was originally commissioned by the Regent of Gondor for his offspring. Due to the addition of a large amount of mithril, this armor achieves a defense tier of 4 while being much lighter than heavy armor of the same defense.
The helmet has a nose guard extending from the middle, leaving almost only the eyes exposed.
The stingy Thorin repeatedly emphasized that this precious armor was only 'lent' to Li Xia, and was by no means a gift.
It's a pity about this exquisite blue mithril armor. Li Xia estimates that it will cost a lot of 'money' (contribution points) to take it away.
It's not that the temple is reluctant to part with them, but every piece of equipment that can be taken out of the world is actually very precious, not to mention that these pieces of equipment will accompany the apostles as they travel through different worlds, which requires the temple to spend resources to mark them.
Only those pieces of equipment that are already famous or contain the power of the world can be taken out of the world without consuming or with very little of the Hall's resources.
This also demonstrates how useful the high-value item detection aura granted by Transcendence is; once found, it can be taken away!
The heavy stone door slowly rose up under the action of the winch. The Orks, who were about to enter through the other holes, paused for a moment, then rushed towards the door with great joy.
The road, only three or four meters wide, couldn't accommodate many Orks, so they were forced to shrink their formation, charging forward in rows of three or four, weapons raised high.
At the front, Oak shouted excitedly, "Human meat smells much better than dwarf meat!" He glanced at Li Xia standing in the middle of the road, his eyes involuntarily drawn to her gleaming armor.
His not-so-bright brain didn't consider what was wrong with it; instead, his most primal desire immediately arose: he wanted the armor.
The next second, the human suddenly raised his hand. Oak only saw a cold glint in front of his eyes, and his smile froze on his face.
Li Xia effortlessly pulled out the spear, crimson blood dripping down the groove, the blade as clean as new, without a trace of blood.
Breathing should flow naturally according to the breathing techniques. On the battlefield, what is needed is endurance, not a momentary burst of energy.
Nothing is more appropriate than the continuous practice of breathing exercises.
With a flick of his right hand, holding the spear, he pushed it forward and then gently pulled it back. In just a moment, blood blossomed on the foreheads of several Ocqs in the front row.
The Night Silence Spear, with an attack strength of 3, was extremely sharp; Li Xia didn't even feel much bluntness when he stabbed it.
"Kill him! (Ok language)"
"Charge!" (Ok language)
Oak didn't care about the deaths of his companions; they had always been like this. An individual Oak was no match for an ordinary human.
They were used to winning by sacrificing their comrades, and used to seeing enemies far stronger than themselves fall in terror and despair at the feet of the Orks they looked down upon.
They are numerous!
As the sun gradually slanted westward, its light took on a crimson hue, as if stained with blood.
The light reflected off the silent blade of the gun in the night seemed to ignite it, and with Li Xia's continuous thrusting movements, blood-stained pear blossoms bloomed above the not-so-wide road.
Li Xia maintained his breathing rhythm, focusing solely on thrusting the spear out and then retracting it.
Everything he did was to ensure that he wouldn't have to face a large-scale siege by Orks when the city fell.
Each time three or four Oc rushed up, it was the most comfortable rhythm, and the slight 'hissing' sound of the Night Silence's spear tip piercing flesh was inexplicably intoxicating to him.
Compared to the need to swing and chop, the action of simply thrusting out and retracting is incredibly simple and effortless.
The corpses of the Orks piled up, and blood flowed from them, gradually pooling together and first flowing along the cracks in the stone slabs.
After the blood filled some of the nearby cracks, it finally overflowed and spread a layer of red on the stone slab.
Gradually, the red color spread and merged, eventually forming a pool of blood.
The Orks remained fearless, the thick smell of blood constantly stimulating their underdeveloped brains, their small eyes filled with nothing but a frenzied red light.
They trampled over the corpses of their comrades, their dirty, bare feet sinking into pools of blood, roaring as they charged forward with a 'thud, thud' sound.
Li Xia remained focused on stabbing, seemingly unaffected by anything around him.
Even his eyes were vacant, as if they had lost focus, but the spear in his hand became more and more steady. When he thrust it out, it was as graceful as a fairy, looking slow and without any force.
Yet, even with such slow shots, he could always accurately pierce every Oc charging at him.
When he pulled it out, he was even gentler. His thumb and middle finger gripped the barrel, and with a slight pull, the gun was ripped from the Oak's head without a sound, a few drops of blood flying out in the process. Before those drops of blood could even settle on the ground and blend into the pool, the blood from the other Oak had already arrived.
Behind him, six summoned archers from Changhu Town drew their bows and unleashed a barrage of arrows, doing their utmost to complete the task assigned by Li Xia.
It helps the master reduce the number of charging Orks, so that the master doesn't have to face too many enemies so urgently.
Gradually, Li Xia seemed to enter a strange state, as if everything in his world had disappeared.
All around was deep darkness, with only himself and the enemy in front of him. All was silent except for his own breathing.
Each breath was so smooth and comfortable, the movements of drawing and retracting the gun perfectly synchronized with the rhythm of the breath.
What is a gun?
This question suddenly popped into Li Xia's mind, and she began to think about it intently.
As he kept thrusting, the spear in his hand seemed to come alive, its shaft retracting and expanding as if it were breathing.
The gun couldn't speak, but it seemed to be telling itself something.
The seemingly endless enemy suddenly vanished. Li Xia raised his head in confusion, only to see those small figures cowering and hiding behind him.
They were shouting something when a silhouette much taller and larger than them abruptly entered his world.
For some reason, Li Xia was somewhat disappointed. He felt that things were fine as they were before, with those short figures rushing forward as if they were putting on a perfectly coordinated performance with him.
He looked down at the spear in his hand. Night Silence remained unchanged; it seemed to have stopped breathing again.
The towering figure roared and charged toward him with unparalleled momentum.
"Thump—thump—thump—thump"
The drum-like sound made his ears hurt, and Li Xia looked up, confused, searching for the inexplicable vibration.
Then they saw a huge silhouette rapidly approaching, with something bright red pulsating on its chest.
"Stab it out—"
It felt like there was another voice speaking in my head.
"what?"
"Thrust out, use all your strength to thrust me out!"
In the valley, Li Xia, who had been standing there with a blank look in his eyes, suddenly opened his mouth slightly.
"laugh!"
A massive amount of air, mixed with the pungent and thick smell of blood, quickly filled my chest.
Li Xia raised his left foot high, paused in mid-air for a moment, and then stomped hard on the ground.
The combat boots, studded with iron nails, shattered instantly upon impact with the floor they struck, like warhammers.
A thin scar quickly appeared between her eyebrows.
Like a muffled thunderclap in a clear sky, the stunned apostles had never imagined that the thrusting spear could produce such a terrifying shriek.
The silent gun barrel seemed to come alive, humming as it plunged straight into the ogre's abdomen.
The surrounding flesh and blood exploded under the terrifying force, and the splattered blood mixed with fragments of flesh and organs was like a terrifying rain of blood.
Li Xia slowly raised her head, feeling a surge of joy in her heart.
What is a gun?
A gun is an unstoppable force.
