Invasion Myth: Starting with the Schoolteacher

Chapter 351 The Bodhisattva of Fragments

Chapter 351 The Bodhisattva of Fragments
"May my mother be forever freed from hell, and at the end of her thirteenth year, may she be free from any grave sins or evil paths. May all Buddhas of the ten directions have compassion on me and grant me this great vow for my mother. If my mother may be forever freed from the three evil paths and this lowly state, and may she never again be reborn as a woman, then from this day forward, before the image of the Pure Lotus-Eyed Tathagata, for hundreds of millions of eons to come, in all the worlds that exist, I vow to rescue all sentient beings suffering in hell and the three evil paths, freeing them from hell, evil realms, the animal realm, the hungry ghost realm, and so on. Only after all such beings have attained Buddhahood will I attain perfect enlightenment."

Listening to Xu Xuan's ramblings, Guangmu smiled and slowly walked down from the altar, as if taking a stroll.

At the same time, a sense of security arises as the other person gets closer, like the boundless earth enduring wind and rain.

"At that time, I was young and was enlightened by the Tathagata Pure Lotus Eyes. I don't know how I made a great vow."

"But I don't regret it."

Okay, okay, you guys weren't missing, were you?

It's both about subduing dragons and Ksitigarbha.
Xu Xuan decisively switched back to the white robes of the holy monk. Before things turned sour, we still had to maintain some courtesy.

At the same time, he was ready to unleash his ultimate attack at any moment, with a faint red light flickering around him.

Be wary of these Arhats and Bodhisattvas.

"Don't misunderstand, Ksitigarbha should have passed away."

“A thousand years ago, the woman Guangmu manifested herself in the City of the Wrongfully Dead, leaving behind a trace of Buddhahood, or perhaps a shadow.”

"Today, I only had a slight thought when I sensed a monk with the aura of Ksitigarbha approaching, and the monk's resentment made me even more curious."

He spoke very frankly, and Xu Xuan believed him to a great extent, but still had doubts about the other party's identity.

It should be noted that this place has been occupied by the Black Mountain Demon for quite some time. If it were truly the Buddha-nature left behind by the Bodhisattva, then the mountains outside the City of the Unjustly Dead would have long since turned into small mounds.

She didn't mind the suspicions about Guangmu.

"I have no magical powers, no Buddhist power, not even the light of Buddha."

"I can't help you, I can only listen to your story and bear the resentment of your wrongful death."

"Would it be convenient for you to tell me about it?"

With compassion for all beings and boundless mercy, the four great Bodhisattvas possessed truly extraordinary magnanimity.

Xu Xuan immediately agreed, saying, "Since the Bodhisattva wants to hear it, I'll make one up."

He's not stupid. He was killed by an Arhat one minute and then started believing in a Bodhisattva the next. Even if that's true, it's still not acceptable.

Guangmu almost laughed out of anger as he watched the young monk spout off.

It's quite interesting that this kind of person enters the Buddhist order; it seems that all their spiritual disciplines have been abandoned except for the precept against lust.

The accumulated karma is quite remarkable even within Buddhism, and the aura of divine retribution makes even Him think this monk is something special.

It should be noted that the standards used by Guangmu are all at the level of Arhats and Bodhisattvas. Even if his cultivation level is insufficient, Zen Master Fahai has still made a name for himself in this field.

This shows how ruthless talent can be.

I just messed around with it, and there's nothing left in the world to compare it to.

Although the story of this little monk is very interesting and touching.

But he was already on the edge of a cliff without realizing it; his teacher was extremely irresponsible.

So he interrupted and handed over the book in his hand.

"I remember that when we first met our elders, we would give each other gifts, right? This is for you."

"what is this?"

"The complete Mahayana Mahasamnipata Ksitigarbha Ten Wheels Sutra".

Xu Xuan was shocked. Although he was somewhat at a loss, he instinctively took it.

I didn't mean anything by it, I just wanted to have a taste.

After flipping through a few pages, you can confirm that it's an authentic product, and there are also many insights from Bodhisattvas included.

Just glancing at the Pure Land and the Land of Calamity has greatly accelerated their recovery, even improving their own foundation to some extent.

This is more than just scripture; it is a Buddhist treasure.

It is comparable to the Heart Sutra of Guanyin in Miss Bai's hand.

But why? Why give me this opportunity without saying anything? Will I, Xu Xuan, really get a treasure so easily?

This...this...Bodhisattva, I'll really accept this if you do this.

If you have any conditions, just say so. You can ask around in Qiantang; everyone praises us.

"It's just Buddhist scriptures; they're meant for people to read."

"I just want to hear what your grievances are."

Well, that's true compassion.

Since that's the case, Xu isn't the kind of person who's not upfront about things.

He then recounted the story of how, due to a disagreement over the interpretation of Buddhist scriptures, the Arhat Subduing Dragon bullied the weak and killed a junior Buddhist disciple with his Vajra Palm.

Guangmu listened quietly, his eyes revealing sadness and sorrow.

Mahakasyapa was still trapped in the state of mind that followed the Buddha's passing, never transcending the path he had chosen. But how innocent was this descendant, whose untimely death was already jeopardizing his path to enlightenment.

Since that's the case, let's lend him a hand.

Although I lack magical powers and cultivation, this is hell, so borrowing a bit of the Buddha's heart from the past shouldn't be difficult.

Xu Xuan started by talking about the revised version.

But today is already the fifth day and night, and the soul has been separated from the body for too long.

The demonic nature, malevolent energy, and hatred within him have begun to spiral out of control.

He was caught in a single thought between Buddha and demon, and after so many back-and-forth maneuvers, he would eventually pay the price when he was at his weakest.

The story has moved beyond the dragon-slaying technique, shifting from the initial bewilderment and fear upon arriving in this world to the anger stemming from natural and man-made disasters.

"I hit Zhang San, and they applauded."

"They cheered when they caught the second Zhang San."

"But there will be countless Zhang Sans in this world, but there will never be countless mes."

He became increasingly agitated as he spoke, his eyes turning bloodshot, his face contorted in a ferocious expression, and the bewitching power of the shimmering white light was also running rampant.

He wasn't the Buddha who cut off his own flesh to feed the eagle; he was an ordinary person with hatred and resentment.

There is great terror between life and death!
Guo Bei's divine retribution has never ceased, and this time the Heavenly Demon is himself.

The calamity that was originally scheduled to erupt on the seventh day was triggered ahead of schedule. The resentment of the dead surged out like a tide, ready to completely destroy everything.

However, these negative energies, demonic energy, and resentment encountered an exception.

No matter how many malicious and destructive thoughts there were, they were all absorbed by that ordinary, radiant woman and carried beneath the earth in her heart.

She was already used to the burning, maddening pain.

I just feel sorry for the other person who has to endure so much at such a young age.

The Buddhist scriptures chanted in the void: Namo āli yě kshī dì gā hā pā yě.
Reciting the mantra of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva brings immeasurable and inconceivable merit.

If the Great Vow Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva personally recites this mantra, one can receive protection, escape the sea of suffering, and attain Nirvana.

And so, as time goes by, even the most vicious emotions will eventually dry up.

The white lotus reappeared beneath his soul's feet, a sense of purity and transcendence rippled through his heart, and although his cultivation had not improved, it had become much more stable.

After he had finished speaking, Xu Xuan realized that his heart had become completely calm.

The enlightened one is the one who is self-aware.
"Amitabha Buddha, thank you for your protection, Bodhisattva."

"I just now"

I almost destroyed myself. We should still maintain a sense of awe towards spiritual practice.

And I felt a little embarrassed, because I had been so wary before, but I never expected that she was a true bodhisattva.

"It's alright, I have already vowed to save all sentient beings in the six realms from suffering."

"Then there is no such thing as Buddha in my Buddhist teachings."

"If it's not there, it's not there. Buddha can't save all sentient beings in the three realms, nor can he save so many wronged souls and vengeful ghosts on both sides of the River Styx."

Guangmu remained the same as before, casually stating his opinion.

Xu Xuan, however, felt a sense of boundless inclusiveness from it, like that of the earth itself.

Look, they are both gods and Buddhas, but the difference in their enlightenment is huge.

Guangmu didn't really think it was a big deal; perhaps only the lineage of the Future Buddha cared about it the most.

For example, Maitreya, and Mahakasyapa.

“No matter what his current situation is, Mahakasyapa has already entered the demonic path from the moment he submitted to the killing.”

"If possible, sending it to its annihilation is the best way to help it."

Okay, okay, Bodhisattva, if I ever become successful in the future, I must offer you a seat.

I wanted to talk more about where the Buddhas and saints of the past had gone, but the Bodhisattva said that he had exhausted his last bit of Buddha-heart.

Xu Xuan was somewhat taken aback. "I have so many questions to ask, please don't cut this out!"
"I'm tired."

"I'm giving you the power of my wishes contained within this clay and wooden sculpture."

After saying that, he walked back to the altar and slowly disappeared into the world.

Wow, that's so sudden. Your style is really cool.

"But I really want to do something for you."
