Invasion Myth: Starting with the Schoolteacher

Chapter 332 I'm Not Human Anymore

Chapter 332 I'm Not Human Anymore

The soul falls into the netherworld, a completely new experience.

Xu Xuan, whose soul was severely injured, could not resist, nor could he resist.

"Since no one from the underworld came to claim my soul, am I not qualified?"

I wasn't very satisfied with the services provided by the underworld; they looked down on me.

Then he remembered that the divine order had collapsed, and these two had either fled to the mortal world or died, so he didn't have much resentment.

Drifting along, drawn by the force of attraction, they arrived at the boundary between Yin and Yang.

Hey!
Upon arriving here, I finally saw some liveliness in the underworld.

A black earth, similar to the land of Evil, appeared, and stepping on it brought a chill that went straight to the bone.

Countless ghosts drifted down from all directions and landed, mindless and confused, staggering through the underworld.

As I walked, I suddenly came across a city. A large sign hung on the city gate, which read "Gate of the Underworld" in seven large golden characters.

The banners fluttered, and the gate opened.

As the banners waved, the dazed souls lined up and walked in, not one of them cutting in line; their manners were truly excellent.

Xu Xuan decisively broke the formation, acting like an uncouth ghost, standing outside the ranks with his hands in his pockets, pondering.

Being as cautious as he was, he naturally wouldn't easily step inside, but instead observed the changes in these ghosts first.

The majority of the people inside were ordinary people—peddlers, merchants, scholars, officials, and royalty—all with blank expressions.

Among them were monks and Taoists, who possessed only a chilling, ghostly aura and equally dull eyes.

In fact, the pull is much weaker when you get to the gates of hell. As long as your soul is strong enough or your will is strong enough, you can break through that state of ignorance and numbness.

Those who are still not clear-headed upon arriving here truly lack spiritual cultivation.

So what would a cultivator with the spiritual attainment who breaks free from this power be like?

As if on cue, a monk descended from a great height.

He was in a daze, but stepping on the underworld instantly brought him to his senses.

Looking at his feet, around him, and into the distance, he was filled with disbelief.

"This humble monk diligently practices Buddhism and helps others, so why haven't I been admitted to the Pure Land? I refuse to accept this! I refuse to accept this?!"

Although Xu Xuan has temporarily lost all his magical powers, his white lotus appearance remains.

It's true that the monk has some merit, but his karma is far greater, so he's probably not a proper monk.

As for his level of attainment, he hasn't even entered the Dao.

Such people are best suited for scouting, stealthily hiding behind shadowy figures to observe.

Sure enough, after venting his anger, the bald monk realized that there were no underworld officials in charge, and immediately came up with a bold idea.

"Humph!"

"How dare this mere underworld try to take me? I'm going to complain to the Bodhisattva!"

After saying that, he was about to fly away, but when he was only three feet off the ground, a soul-hooking lock appeared out of thin air and flew out.

It pierced directly through the monk's collarbone, and his martial arts were broken with a scream.

Then a mourning stick struck him on the forehead, instantly silencing him.

The clanging of chains rang out, and the master who had just been about to complain to the Bodhisattva was dragged into the gates of hell.

Xu Xuan, watching from the side, clearly understood that this was not the supernatural power of some great god behind the door, but rather a manifestation of the order of the underworld.

Hiss~~ The underlying order of the place where Yin and Yang meet is still operating normally.

Since that's the case, let's go through this hell gate. Let's do it to give Heaven some face.

"Dude, move aside."

I randomly joined a group and strolled in leisurely. This place, seemingly a city gate, was actually a manifestation of the rules.

The forces of Yin and Yang reversed and exchanged here, and the last bit of Yang energy turned into ghostly energy, making him completely inhuman.

However, someone in the mortal realm had all their vital energy killed by the Dragon Slayer, leaving them with no life force or death energy, and the doorway was completely empty when they passed through it.

Even the Gates of Hell were somewhat disrupted, but at least the rules manifested, and this guy was allowed in.

Little did they know that this was the beginning of Xu Xuan's connection with the underworld.

"From today onwards, I am no longer human."

Stepping out of the city gate, a sense of familiarity arises.

This is the true underworld, a world where no laws of the mortal world exist.

Upon entering this realm, the pulling force decreases by one level.

Those deeply attached to their obsessions can regain their senses on their own, and their cries immediately resound across the land, but they are nothing more than weeping.

The underworld is governed by the rule that there is a way out, but no way back. The ghosts walked forward while crying, and it was still very difficult for ordinary people to break free from its control.

After walking for several miles, they suddenly saw a tall mountain with dark clouds hanging low to the ground and black mist obscuring the sky.

“The Netherworld Backside Mountain”.

Xu Xuan, as a proper cultivator, does possess some knowledge.

What I saw was a landscape of many protrusions and depressions, its terrain rugged and precipitous. As steep as the mountains of Shu, as high as the cliffs of Lushan. Not a famous mountain of the mortal world, but a perilous place of the underworld. Thick thorns concealed ghosts and monsters, and the glistening cliffs hid evil spirits.

Everywhere, deafening cries of sorrow and terrifying monsters filled the air. For behind them lay the eighteen levels of hell.

This is the territory of many underworld bosses, and even the Pure Land of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is located here.

Looking back now, I don't think I knew many people here.

Most of those who opposed the Father either ended up in the Land of Evil or were utterly destroyed.

This also helped reduce the pressure on myself at that moment.

"Indeed, the cleaning of Baoan Hall was the right thing to do and necessary."

After traveling several more miles, we came to see a pavilion with green tiles.

Behold: A myriad of colorful clouds float and pile, a thousand streaks of red mist appear faintly. Eaves gleam with the heads of mythical beasts, tiles gleam like mandarin ducks. Doors are pierced with rows of red-gold nails, balustrades are adorned with a horizontal strip of white jade. Sunlight streams through the windows, casting wisps of morning mist, curtains shimmer like flashes of red lightning. Towering pavilions reach for the azure sky, corridors and halls line the magnificent courtyards. Incense burners, fragrant as clouds, waft over the imperial robes, crimson lanterns illuminate the palace.

It is called the Gate of the Underworld, below which lies the Hall of Yama, the Lord of the Underworld.

King Qin Guang, King Chu Jiang, King Song Di, King Wu Guan, King Yama, King Ping Deng, King Tai Shan, King Du Shi, King Bian Cheng, King Zhuan Lun.

The Ten Kings Palace was surrounded by ghostly soldiers guarding the four directions.

On the left, a bull's head sways violently; on the lower right, a rugged Roman pasta.

Xu Xuan was startled, thinking he was about to see the Underworld office building and the two civil servants who appeared frequently.

That shouldn't be the case. Judge Lu has already escaped from the underworld. Could it be that he skipped work and came to the mortal world to seek death?
As a result, a gust of cold wind blew by, and all the magnificent scenery vanished like a dream.

What just happened was a projection of the past; this place has now become a ruin, but one can still vaguely see the magnificent scene that once existed here.

The ghosts in the queue automatically separated upon arriving at this place, gradually drifting in all directions along inexplicable paths.

The Ten Kings have vanished without a trace, and the ruins of the Yama King's Palace are receiving and judging numerous ghosts in turn.

Someone went to the first hall but did not see King Qin Guang.

All I saw was an empty hall.

This place is in charge of life and death in the human world, and governs the fortunes and misfortunes of the underworld. It guides virtuous people to rebirth after their death. Those whose merits and demerits are evenly distributed are sent to the Tenth Court for distribution, and are reincarnated into the world, males becoming females and females becoming males. Those whose evil deeds outweigh their good deeds are taken to the high platform on the right side of the court, called the Mirror of Karma, where they are made to look into the mirror and see the good and bad of their hearts in the world. They are then sent to the Second Court to suffer in prison.

Xu Xuan saw that when many ghosts were illuminated by the divine light from the main seat in the hall, the Book of Death of the Southern Dipper on the side table automatically began to write, and they were then sent to the places where they were supposed to suffer.

It seems that even without the gods, the underworld can continue to function.
