Chapter 58: Crystal of True Knowledge
This potion was strictly speaking a failed potion.

When Dui was making the scabies potion, he deliberately threw porcupine quills directly into the potion without turning off the fire, which eventually turned the scabies potion that was supposed to treat scabies into a highly corrosive liquid.

Dui carefully opened the potion bottle, then used a levitation spell to control it to fly above the troll's cauldron. Then the potion lost its support and fell directly into the cauldron.

"Plop!" A sound came from the big pot.

"Hey, what fell in there?" an ogre asked curiously, then looked up at the stone wall above the cave, "Could it be a stone?"

The giant hammer was made of iron and was very heavy, weighing over a thousand pounds. It was very difficult for Dui to control it using the levitation spell.

When the giant hammer floated to a certain height, Dui withdrew the magic power, and the giant hammer fell freely and hit the head of the ogre leader heavily.

A heavy object weighing thousands of pounds fell from a high altitude, instantly smashing the ogre leader's head, causing blood to flow and a dent on his head.

The ogres were indeed known for their strong defense. The attack failed to kill the ogre leader, but instead woke him up from his coma.

But before it could make any other move, the huge hammer came crashing down again.

This time the ogre leader was not lucky. His head was smashed by the huge hammer, and his brain burst, and he died instantly.

Gandalf's movements were also very quick, and his body was too flexible to look like an old man. He sent the trolls away one by one with just one sword.

Soon there was no living ogre left in the cave.

After the battle, Gandalf didn't even take a breath. He went straight to the prison where humans were imprisoned, split the cage with a sword, and released everyone inside.

Leaving the task of comforting people's hearts to Gandalf, Dewi went alone to search for the troll's treasure.

He continued walking deeper into the cave and soon found the end.

The end was filled with gold, silver and jewelry, which looked particularly dazzling under the fluorescent light. The quantity was several times more than the treasures in the previous five ogre caves!
But just as Dui was surprised by so much treasure, he accidentally discovered that among the treasures, there was a black object emitting magical fluctuations buried among the gold coins.

Dui was curious, so he walked over and used his magic wand to move the gold coins on it.

Once fully revealed, it turned out to be a black crystal sphere the size of a head. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a sphere polished from a single piece of black crystal, with a faint, swirling mist inside, flashing various blurry images.

"What is this?" Dui carefully touched it with his wand, and only after finding no reaction did he dare to touch it with his hand.

As soon as it was touched, the black crystal ball reacted instantly, emitting light, and the light mist inside turned into a clear picture.

"Gandalf, you say this is the Stone of Palantir?"

When Dui heard Gandalf confirm that this was the Stone of True Knowledge, although he had already guessed it before, he still couldn't help but feel surprised.

The Stone of True Knowledge is a magical artifact that allows its wielder to see events that occurred in distant times or distant places. Those with strong wills and minds can also cast their gaze wherever they wish.

It can be said that with the Crystal of True Knowledge, he is equivalent to having a clairvoyance that can make decisions from thousands of miles away.

You can even use it to see things from the distant past and explore ancient secrets.

Dui was very happy to obtain the Stone of True Knowledge, a treasure that even Gandalf envied. Even the pile of treasures in the cave could not make him excited.

Gandalf has comforted the villagers outside who were imprisoned by the trolls and rekindled their hope and courage.

As before, the two men distributed part of the money to the villagers and asked them to use the money to leave the area, either by boat south to the southern human kingdom, or west to the vicinity of Weathertop in Dui or the town of Bree further west.

Dui once again summoned a cobra that could recognize the way, and let the frightened villagers follow the cobra out of the forest.
