Chapter 4 The Knife Comes

After buying the knife, Dewi reunited with Bilbo and returned to Bag End together.

On the way, Bilbo looked at the two boning knives that Dui had bought and couldn't help asking curiously, "Dui, why did you buy two boning knives? Don't you already have them at home?"

Dui held two bone-chopping knives in his hands and assumed a chopping stance. "These aren't bone-chopping knives, they're my weapons. I'm going to use them to defend myself from the enemy in the future!"

Bilbo opened his mouth, unable to connect himself with the image of the wizard for a moment.
"As long as you like it."

Seeing Bilbo's eyes, Dewi's lips curled up slightly.

The two bone-chopping knives in his hands flew out with a whoosh and stabbed directly into an oak tree on the side of the road, with half of the blades embedded in the trunk.

Bilbo was momentarily stunned.

"Sword...ah, come on, knife!"

The knife was pulled out of the tree trunk again and flew back into his hand in an instant.

Bilbo was stunned by what he saw.

After showing off, Dui left with the look of a master.

But I was sweating silently in my heart.

The knife was inserted too deep and it took a lot of effort to pull it out. It almost hit my face.

So thrilling!

After returning to Bag End, Dui began a new round of training.

He began to concentrate on manipulating the two boning knives, trying to make them work as smoothly as his own arms.

Each of the two bone-chopping knives weighed two kilograms, which was just within the limit of Dui's magic control.

In order to have more precise control, he simply used the bone-chopping knife to chop the wood.

In this way, although the process was difficult and he could only persist for a short while at the beginning, as he persisted longer, it became easier for Dui to control the bone-cutting knife and his speed became faster.

As a result, Dewy finished collecting firewood for the winter at Bag End early, and there was even some left over.

Bilbo was delighted with this.

After all, although Hobbits love life, they don't want to be lazy. Stockpiling firewood before winter is a difficult task.

Now that it has been completed ahead of schedule, I am naturally very happy.

Bilbo was amazed and worried as he looked at the two bone-cleavers around Dui, which were almost out of sight and only made the sound of cutting through the air.

He was always worried that Dui would lose control and get hurt by the knife.

After all, it was really thrilling to watch!
The two throwing knives danced around Dui for half an hour before reluctantly flying back and inserting into the scabbard hanging on Dui's waist.

Now Dui's control over the flying knife has reached the point where he can do whatever he wants. As long as Dui is within a five-meter radius, the flying knife can arrive in an instant.

This caused a qualitative change in Dui's attack power, giving him a certain ability to protect himself.

And with continuous control and practice, Dui has successfully been able to float a 100-pound object and keep it floating for a period of time.

For this reason, Bilbo was the first to enjoy the thrill of flying, and was floated in the air by Dewi like a kite.

The surrounding Hobbit neighbors also witnessed Bilbo's feat of flying over the Hobbiton Hills. For a time, Bilbo became a celebrity in Hobbiton.

Of course, Dui, the instigator, also attracted attention.

Just because of Dui's identity as a wizard, no one dared to get close to him.

However, the name of the Wizard of Doile began to spread from Hobbiton to the entire Shire region.

Dewy had been living at Bag End for two months.

One day, Dewi suddenly said goodbye to Bilbo.

"Bilbo, thank you so much for taking me in for so long. I'm afraid I need to say goodbye."

Bilbo was caught off guard. "Duir, have I neglected you in any way that you're leaving so suddenly?"

Seeing the hobbit getting nervous, Dewi quickly bent down and patted his shoulder soothingly.

"Don't worry, my friend, you've done well enough! This isn't your fault."

"I'm just planning to go somewhere else and take a look. After all, I haven't been to any other place besides Hobbiton!"

He smiled and winked at his friend.

"Of course, when I get tired, I might come and stay with you for a few days. Would you mind welcoming me then?"

Bilbo relaxed at that, then quickly shook his head.

"Of course not. You are always welcome here, Doyle."

But he still asked with some concern: "Duyle, where are you going?"

Dui shook his head. "I don't have any plans for now. I plan to walk and see as I go. However, I don't plan to go too far at the moment, so I will probably walk around the Shire."

The Shire is neither big nor small. In addition to the small town of Hobbiton, there are many other towns where Hobbits live.

He planned to go and see if he could sign in.

"By the way, Bilbo, you should be very familiar with the Shire. Do you have any towns to recommend?"

Bilbo was relieved to hear that Dewi was travelling in the Shire.

He quickly went to the study and searched around, then found a map of the Shire and placed it on the table.

"Since you are traveling within the Shire, Duyle, I recommend that you first go to Big Hole Town. It is the capital of the Shire and is definitely a must-see."

Bilbo said, pointing to a marked location on the map west of Hobbiton.

According to Bilbo's explanation, the entire Shire is divided into four districts: east, west, south and north. Hobbiton is located in the center of the Shire and belongs to the west district.

Also belonging to the West Region is Big Hollow, the capital of the Shire.

Dadong Town is the office seat of the mayor of Shire and the commercial and trade center of the Shire region. It is conveniently located with the main east-west highway passing through it.

"Okay, let's go to Dadong Town first!"

Dui made a decision.

Although he was reluctant, Bilbo still sent Dewy away.

Before leaving, he prepared a large bag of food and a bag full of silver coins for Dui.

Enough for his living needs for the next period of time.

Although Dewi wanted to refuse, he was penniless now, so he accepted Bilbo's kindness.

I just silently kept this friendship in my heart.

After rejecting Bilbo's idea of sending him to the village, Dewi cast a floating magic on the package, and then set out on his journey alone with the weightless package on his back.

After arriving in the town from Bag End, Dewy did not stop, but headed west along the east-west road that passed through here.

The road is flat, with beautiful pastoral scenery along the way, and occasionally Hobbit merchants or travelers passing by.

They were also very curious about Dui, a foreigner who was obviously a human.

Dui's pace was not slow, but it still took him a whole day to finally arrive at Dadong Town before nightfall.

The architectural style of Big Hole Town is different from that of Hobbiton. The buildings here are taller and larger than those in Hobbiton. Most of the houses are built with wood, rocks and rocks, and it looks more like a city.

As they entered the city, all the hobbits around them focused their attention on the tall human.

One of the hobbits, with a mustache and a blue feather in his hat, came forward.

"Where are you from, stranger? What brings you to Dadong Town?"
