Chapter 282 Bilbo's Peril

Dui was familiar with this dark power; it was clearly a wound left by the Mogul Blade.

He was very surprised and suspicious, but seeing the giant octopus Kraken bleeding profusely and suffering terribly, he decided to try to heal it with magic first.

He tried to heal the wound by waving his wand with a healing spell, but it was clearly ineffective, even by the spell Professor Snape created to heal the dark magic, the Shadowstep Charm.

Upon seeing this, Dui took out a golden cup, scooped up lake water, swirled it three times, and then poured it directly onto the wound.

The wound began to heal at a visible rate, and the bleeding stopped.

But Dui still didn't relax. The most dangerous thing about the Mogul Blade is that when it pierces a wound, it leaves behind fragments. These fragments will continue to drill into the flesh, flow along the blood vessels, until they pierce the heart and transform it into a ghostly puppet creature.

Dui simply transformed into a phoenix and squeezed out a few tears towards the wound.

The tears fell on the wound, immediately producing a sizzling reaction, quickly purifying the dark power on the wound and turning into wisps of black smoke that drifted away.

Meanwhile, the fragments of the Mogul Blade that were drilling into the flesh were melted and expelled, as if they had encountered their nemesis.

The giant octopus Kraken finally recovered and gave Dui a grateful hiss.

"Alright, explain yourself clearly, how did you get injured?"

Kraken immediately let out a series of excited hisses at Dui, while Dui listened to his thoughts, his expression becoming increasingly surprised and suspicious.

Kraken did not find the person who attacked it. According to it, it was about to eat a person who was trying to cross the river by stealth when something suddenly appeared at the bottom of the lake, attacked it with a weapon, and then disappeared into thin air.

As Dui listened to Kraken's description of the illegal immigrant, he began to speculate.

With a wave of the wand, Gollum's figure appeared: "Is this the person?"

Kraken nodded.

Dui's expression turned serious. He hadn't expected Gollum to suddenly appear here, and the one who attacked Kraken was most likely a Ringwraith.

The Ringwraiths attacked Kraken, clearly to prevent Kraken from eating Gollum.

When these things appeared in his territory, Dui immediately guessed their purpose.

After all, these guys are here for no other reason than to possess the One Ring.

So Gollum was captured by Mordor? And Sauron also learned about the One Ring?
Dui felt uneasy as he thought about this.

However, the thought that the One Ring was kept secret by the Faithful Charm and was in Tom Bombadil's possession reassured him.

The fact that Gollum and the Ringwraiths are here suggests that they know the Ring is related to them, but they are unsure of its location.

Dui figured Gollum couldn't have gone far, so he waved his wand and shouted, "Guide me!"

The wand shot out a beam of light, which followed the surface of the lake toward Hogsmeade.

Dui Phantom teleported to the other side of the lake, and just as he was about to give chase, he discovered that the light became chaotic here, pointing in an uncertain direction.

Is there some force blocking his magical tracking?

Dui looked solemn.

He used the Manifestation Charm to show the location of Gollum, who might be hiding nearby, but to no avail.

He quickly returned to Hogwarts Castle, retrieved the Crystal of Knowledge, and attempted to track Gollum down.

But just as he looked inside the True Knowledge Crystal, a fiery demonic eye appeared within it.

“Soren!” Dui gritted his teeth and said.

Without hesitation, he took out the Light of Eyarendil from the side and shone it directly on the crystal, which made the Demon Eye retreat.

Seeing that Sauron was staring at him, Dui had no choice but to quickly put away the True Knowledge Crystal and seal it together with the Light of Eyarendil in a mithril box.

Soren possesses the main crystal from the True Knowledge Crystal, allowing him to freely spy on everything around him through the crystal, and even use it as a remote surveillance device.

Knowing the crystal was useless, Dui decided to take the Felix Elixir to find Gollum.

But after thinking about it, I still felt that I couldn't waste my time on this.

Gollum himself is not important; what is important is that Sauron is trying to find information about the One Ring.

Although he failed to find Gulu using the True Knowledge Crystal, Dui did not intend to give up.

He transformed into a phoenix, circling in the sky, radiating light that illuminated the earth, and his melodious song echoed around him.

The phoenix's radiance is full of light and holiness, enough to make darkness nowhere to hide.

The phoenix's song is even more magical, combining the power of the Ring of Fire and the Horn of Victory. It can not only dispel fear and calm emotions, but also, like the sound of thunder, have a restraining and deterrent effect on dark creatures and those with dark hearts.

The sleeping residents of Hogsmeade smiled upon hearing the phoenix's song, sinking deeper into their sweet dreams.

Zorondo also flew out of his lair, circling above and around the Storm Peak, surrounded by storms and lightning, like a thunder god descending, overlooking the surrounding area, his sharp eyes monitoring the movements on the ground.

All night passed, and by dawn, Gollum was nowhere to be found, nor was there any trace of the Ringwraiths.

Seeing this, Dui could only sigh that Gulu was quite good at hiding.

As for the Ringwraiths, since they can enter the Underworld, even Dui couldn't defeat them without sufficient preparation.

Unable to find Dui, he had no choice but to give up. However, just in case, he still set up magic around the area so that he could detect Gollum or the Ringwraiths immediately if they reappeared.

As time went by, Dui's wedding day drew closer.

But then one day, green flames suddenly burst forth from the castle fireplace. Bilbo emerged from the fireplace, looking disheveled, and cried out in alarm, "Duir! Gollum has come to the Shire!"

"What?" Dui was somewhat surprised, but he still looked Bilbo over carefully first. "Are you alright?"

Bilbo shook his head; besides several scratches on his body, there was also a clear bite mark on his hand.

"I'm fine. I was able to get here from Bag End thanks to Filu's network, but Gollum is still in Bag End!"

Duy raised his wand and cast a spell to heal Bilbo's wounds.

"Let's go, we'll go to Bag End." Dui transformed into a phoenix, grabbed Bilbo, and vanished in a blaze of fire.

When they reappeared, they were already inside the bag bottom hole.

Dui transformed into human form, frowning as he looked at the chaotic scene around him.

There are signs that the place has been ransacked, as if someone is searching for something.

But Gulu is no longer here.

Clearly, Gollum is searching for the One Ring.

"Trace revealed!" The wand was waved, and golden mist filled the surroundings, then condensed to reveal the scene that had just occurred.

While Bilbo was quietly sitting in his study, compiling his travelogue, Gollum secretly sneaked into Bag End and knocked Bilbo unconscious with a blow from his club before Bilbo could find him.

Then they tied Bilbo up with ropes and began searching his body first. When that failed, they started frantically searching Bag End.

After searching every inch of Bag End to no avail, Gollum, anxious and frustrated, angrily demanded to know the whereabouts of Bilbo's Ring.

They even held a kitchen knife to Bilbo's neck, threatening him to reveal the location of the One Ring.

This scene made Dui worry for Bilbo.

But Bilbo, having experienced the Expedition to Lonely Mountain and what happened afterward, was no longer the same Hobbit he once was. Even when faced with danger, he remained calm.

Instead, he cleverly stalled for time with words and Gollum, tricking him into believing that he had hidden the Ring in a place no one knew, and promising to return it to him.

Bilbo successfully tricked Gollum into untying the ropes binding his feet, and then kicked Gollum over, quickly ran to the fireplace, grabbed a handful of Floo Powder and threw it into the fireplace, disappearing into the fireplace before Gollum could catch up.

The dazzling green flames startled Gollum, who retreated in panic and could only watch helplessly as Bilbo escaped.

At this point, Dui thought Gollum would choose to leave Bag End.

Unexpectedly, Gollum's gaze fell on the remaining Floo Powder, and he imitated Bilbo by grabbing a handful of Floo Powder and throwing it into the fireplace.

Gulu tentatively put his hand into the flames, and when he didn't feel any burning sensation, he immediately showed a look of surprise.

Then he walked directly into the green fire, his mouth moved slightly, and he quickly disappeared into the fireplace.

Although he couldn't hear what he was saying, Dui could still tell from the movement of his mouth that he said "Hogwarts Castle".

So they just missed out on Gollum?
Upon seeing this, Bilbo immediately looked ashamed and nervous: "I'm sorry, Duir, I think I've caused you trouble!"

Dui shook his head and comforted him, "No need to apologize, he walked right into the trap, saving me the trouble of looking for him."

He then waved his wand, restoring everything in Bag End back to normal.

After temporarily sealing off the fireplace and flying net in Bag End, Dui led Bilbo back to Windrise.

As soon as I returned to Fengyun Peak, it was already very lively.

The Thunderbird Solondo let out a warning cry, and dark clouds filled the sky above the castle, accompanied by flashes of lightning and thunder.

The portraits on the walls were excitedly discussing the uninvited guest who had appeared in the castle.

"Where is he?" Dui asked, looking at his own portrait.

"Gulu's figure was just seen in the portrait on the seventh floor. He should be hiding nearby right now."

Dui nodded and immediately Apparated to the seventh floor.

"Humanoid Apparition!"

Dui cast a spell around him.

A magical wave of light rapidly spread outwards, exposing anyone hiding nearby.

"Found you!" Dui sneered, instantly spotting Gulu hiding in the fireplace chimney.

Gollum, realizing he'd been discovered, looked terrified. He immediately pulled out a handful of Floo Powder, threw it towards the fireplace below, and shouted, "Bag End!"

The green flames ignited, but they did not teleport Gulu away.

Gulu didn't give up. He pulled out another handful of Floo Powder and threw it down, shouting out various place names.

But he remained where he was, and instead, he was choked by the cigarette ash and his eyes and nose were running.

Dui looked mocking; he had already shut down the fireplaces and nets in the castle, so no matter how much he shouted, it was no use.

With a wave of his hand, the fireplace bricks parted automatically, revealing a terrified, trembling creature inside.

"Petrify them all." With a single spell, Gulu was frozen in place.
