Chapter 122 Remarks on the launch
After discussions with the editor, this book will officially be available on the shelves tomorrow, January 1st, New Year's Day!
Here, I would like to thank all the readers who are willing to continue to support and follow this book despite the constipation-like updates of only one chapter a day!
This book's performance is notoriously poor, and it was only because of my editor Jiang Cha and Captain Dragonfly's constant positive attention and the continuous support from my fellow readers that this book achieved such success.

It's really been a long and difficult journey to get to where it is today...

Before writing this book, Panda hesitated about how to write it.

Psychological counseling is a serious subject, and something that Panda, as a professionally trained student, has always taken seriously.

However, serious matters are not something people can accept; on the other hand, the current climate may be too serious, leading to the demonization of psychological counseling.

So pandas have been looking for ways to lighten the seriousness of things with a relaxed atmosphere, without going so far as to be "playful," and to maintain a delicate balance.

So far, it's been somewhat successful, and I'm very happy.

This book is also written for myself.

I've always wanted to write a book on the topic of psychological counseling.

When I was a therapist, I always wanted to be a good person.

However, throughout my career, I have seen too many situations that prevent me from being a good person.

I want to help others, but I don't have the courage to completely sacrifice myself for others, risking my career and even my life.

So I temporarily withdrew from the mental health counseling industry and have not returned to it since.

Therefore, in this book, I hope that the protagonist can be a good person, that he can overcome the things that once hindered him to help his visitors, and that after all this is over, he can leave unscathed and even be rewarded for his good deeds.

This was my past fantasy about my own career.

Nan Zhuren's name is actually a homophone for "difficult to help people".

Some readers have suggested that the protagonist could use fewer "underhanded tactics" and instead rely more on professional knowledge, such as psychological counseling, to help clients in a counseling room.
That's a very good question. But there's really very little that can be done in a counseling room. Sometimes, the main problem with psychological issues doesn't actually lie with the client.

When I faced these visitors, I really wanted to yell at them: Wake up! It's not you who's wrong, it's the world!
But that would likely have cost me my job in a undignified way, so I didn't do it.

That being said, I've been concerned about this issue raised by readers for a long time; even in the book, having the protagonist test the boundaries of counseling ethics was a big challenge for me.

So I'm making revisions myself. In the future, I'll try my best to ensure that professional matters are handled within the scope of those professionals.

……

The above is my psychological journey in writing this book.

Finally, let's talk about the update issue.

After it's published, there will be two updates a day! (jinliang)

Please allow me to offer my explanation on this matter.

First of all, the author hasn't started their vacation yet; it's currently finals week...

Secondly, this book really requires a lot of research...

Since starting my graduate studies, the papers I've read the most haven't been in the research area my supervisor assigned me; they've all been reference books and papers used to enrich this book...

In addition, I also need to analyze the dialogue between the client and the counselor, and try to make it as smooth as possible.

So, it's really slow to type...

This book is not written in the style of a wish-fulfillment novel.

Therefore, try to maintain the quality as much as possible.

Everyone, you can understand, right? You can, right? It's definitely possible, isn't it?
I heard you, and you say it's okay!

Today is New Year's Eve, tomorrow is New Year's Day, and the author is writing in seclusion.

So—it's worth subscribing to, right?

that's all.
