Chapter 379 Mutiny!

Chapter 379 Mutiny!

Miles secretly returned to the surface base under the cover of night, without alerting anyone, and slept soundly until the next morning.

After getting enough sleep, he left his barracks. The base was sparsely populated, with sentry towers and automated machines on guard against Na'vi attacks.

As the security chief and the highest-ranking officer on the base, Miles habitually inspected the defenses before heading to the barracks to begin his daily routine of training.

Despite being middle-aged, the colonel maintained extreme self-discipline, possessed an exceptionally robust physique, and with his sharp, deep eyes, he resembled a fierce tiger descending from the mountain.

As the sun rose over Pandora, the army emerged from their barracks, had breakfast, and prepared to assist the miners in mining superconducting ore.

Miles's eyes were sharp. As always, he stood atop the base's watchtower, overlooking the entire base and watching the steel behemoth awaken from its slumber.

Today is different from the past.

The iron-willed soldiers, driven by the belief in the supremacy of humanity, are filled with fanaticism and ruthlessness.

He scanned the base with his binoculars and saw several tall, blue figures walking in the square, his eyes filled with undisguised disgust.

Those were clones of the Na'vi created by human scientists using bioengineering techniques based on Na'vi genetic data.

They lack self-awareness; humans connect to them via neural links, using their consciousness to remotely control them, facilitating human exploration of Pandora.

This beautiful planet hides a crisis beneath its surface; its atmosphere contains oxygen, but also various toxic gases harmful to humans.

Although Pandora has a favorable environment, humans cannot survive in the wild for long periods of time and instead live in sheltered environments protected by air purification devices.

Genetically engineered Na'vi clones are perfectly suited to undertake the task of wilderness exploration and avoid various local dangers.

The Na'vi are three meters tall, with blue skin, long limbs with markings, and facial features similar to humans. Their eyes are large and bright, able to capture more colors, and they have light spots resembling luminous glands on both sides of their noses and in many places on their bodies.

They are agile and can fly freely in the jungle, treading on trees as if on flat ground.

Although they lacked advanced technology, their individual strength was immense, and the primitive bows and arrows they created were incredibly powerful, easily piercing the high-strength glass of human aircraft and killing the personnel inside.

What amazes human scientists most is not the Na'vi's strength and intelligence, but their unified evolution with the planet.

On the entire planet Pandora, all life forms, including the Na'vi, have hair-like nerve bundles growing in their heads, which can be physically linked to each other, enabling them to communicate with one another.

This unique biological organ, primitive and mysterious, caused immense suffering to the humans who came to colonize it.

The Na'vi forged alliances with local jungle behemoths, driving jungle beasts and sky predators to attack human technological creations and resist human encroachment.

The colonel lowered his binoculars, a look of disdain flashing in his eyes, a cruel smile playing on his lips, as he waited for the Na'vi clone to leave.

He was waiting for an opportunity to completely eliminate the base's weak mindset, take control of the Pandora base, and prove himself!

Abandon harmonious coexistence, embrace the supremacy of humanity!
"Base guards assemble." After watching the alien clone and the scientist leave, Miles growled over the communications channel and launched the purge.

At the command of the security chief, the base guards did not dare to be negligent and assembled in full gear in the base square.

At this time, most personnel had already left the base to carry out various missions in the field, while the base was full of soldiers ready to respond quickly to alien attacks.

Looking at the young men standing under the blazing sun, thousands of soldiers stood in neat formation, their ranks impeccable.

The colonel looked pleased; these were his elite troops brought from their home planet, with formidable combat capabilities and unwavering loyalty.

"Soldiers!" he shouted, urging them to stand tall and pay their respects to their commander.

It was obvious to anyone with eyes that Miles had extremely high personal prestige within the military, earning the complete respect of the soldiers.

"Sir!" the soldiers roared in unison, responding to the colonel's call.

Miles smiled with satisfaction, then his expression changed abruptly, becoming serious and sharp, his face flushed red with anger: "Do you trust your superiors?"

"Trust! Trust! Trust!"

The soldiers' emotions were instantly ignited, and they were so excited that they couldn't control themselves. They raised their guns and shouted, their shouts echoing through the sky.

Soldiers have always been like this; trust is the cornerstone behind their mutual entrustment.

In this unfamiliar world fraught with danger, soldiers live on the edge of death, yet their camaraderie runs deep.

The soldiers' loud shouts attracted a lot of attention, but after observing for a while, they simply assumed the soldiers were idly venting their excess energy. "Very good! Very spirited!" Miles was quite satisfied and gave the soldiers a suggestive reply: "Return to your posts and await my orders. A sudden storm is about to break."

The soldiers had no doubts. After saluting, they dispersed and returned to their posts, awaiting their superior's order.

Many of them were emotional, keenly aware that the colonel was different from before, and eagerly awaited what would happen next.

Miles hurried along, taking his trusted officers and soldiers with him, and boarded the space transport plane, preparing to head to the high-orbit spacecraft.

"Colonel Miles, you don't have the authority..."

The transport plane crew spoke out, sternly rebuking the officer who had barged into the cockpit.

Under normal circumstances, no one is allowed to board the transport aircraft without permission to travel to or from the aircraft.

But the next second, the crew members dared not speak and raised their hands; the cold muzzle of the gun pressed against their foreheads silenced them.

"Captain, do I have the authority?" A major asked with a vicious expression, his finger on the trigger, ready to fire and kill the crew.

The captain swallowed hard, his eyes darting around as he noticed the pistol's safety was off, the soldier's killing intent undisguised.

“Sir,” the captain forced a smile, turned to the menacing soldiers, and said in a deliberately relaxed manner, “you will have no trouble passing through.”

After saying that, he slowly lowered his arm, started the transport plane's engine, opened the communication channel and said, "Tower, this is the Hercules transport plane, initiating its return to space."

"Order received, cleared for takeoff."

"What are you standing there for? Get to work!" The captain's angry shout snapped the stunned co-pilot and the others out of their daze. "The company's assets belong to you, but your lives belong to you."

His reminder jolted the crew into action, and they began assisting the transport plane to take off.

The base's highest military commander has defected... there has been an uprising!

Here, the mountains are high and the emperor is far away. The colonel has extremely high prestige and power. As long as he seizes control of the spaceship, he will be qualified to negotiate with the home planet.

Once you occupy Pandora's treasure trove of resources, won't you be showered with immense wealth?
We're working ourselves to the bone mining here, and the company only pays us a tiny amount a year? What's the point of all this hard work?
Having grasped the key point, the crew acted more quickly, maneuvering the space transport aircraft into the sky to return to the high-orbit spacecraft.

Miles remained calm as he sat with the soldiers in the cabin, reassuring them with his steady resolve.

Whenever a major battle occurred, he always fought alongside his soldiers, calming their hearts and establishing his authority.

With their commander by their side, the soldiers were naturally emboldened. They checked their weapons, preparing to launch a swift raid to take control of the entire spaceship.

The space transport aircraft docked with the spacecraft, and the fully armed soldiers, like hungry tigers descending the mountain, intimidated the security personnel with their fierce aura without even firing a shot.

Miles personally led his troops and captured the spaceship effortlessly, thus securing his own invincibility.

"Take control of the base!" He commanded from the spaceship's headquarters, directing the prepared ground forces to take control of everyone at the base.

The ground troops acted swiftly, cutting off external communications the instant they stormed into the ground command post and took control.

Armory, ammunition depot, vehicle depot, communications tower—almost simultaneously, the entire base fell to Miles's army.

Many people were so bewildered that they were forcibly taken away by soldiers until they were imprisoned in concentration camps, at which point they suddenly realized that the army had betrayed them.

Having completely taken control of the base, the military swiftly screened those willing to cooperate and sent out return orders to the outside world, waiting for the fish to come to them one by one.

Upon seeing the staff return, the soldiers swarmed forward, and without any regard for the situation, roughly dragged the people out of the vehicle and locked them in a temporary prison.

The highest-ranking officer, who knew the base inside and out, rebelled. His actions were swift and decisive, his plans meticulous and his steps intricately linked.

First, capture the spaceship to occupy the high ground, then control the base to ensure invincibility, and finally wait for the outgoing personnel to come to you.

Humans simply cannot survive in the wild on Pandora.

"I've handed the ship over to you guys. I have to go down and take care of some things." Once the situation was settled, Miles handed the spaceship over to his loyal crew and prepared to land on the ground.

"We will not let you down!" The officers and soldiers entrusted with this important task had flushed faces, stood up straight and saluted, their hearts filled with excitement.

The officer's uprising had succeeded, and entrusting the spaceship to them was undoubtedly a sign of heartfelt trust.
