Chapter 297 Subspace Ruins

Chapter 297 Subspace Ruins

Words of creation.

It exists in ancient legends and has been given countless names: incantation, secret language, promise, cryptic language, Babel language.

In a sense, the languages, enlightenments, and writings of all intelligent races originate from the "Word of Creation."

The words of creation have a long history, their existence even predating demons, and have now become a distant legend.

Some say it was created by ancient saints, while others say it always existed and the ancient saints were merely discoverers. In any case, it represents a powerful force.

No psychic powers or incantations are needed; the Word of Creation itself is power.

Even ordinary people can command the laws and directly achieve the purpose of written expression by imitating syllables and pronouncing them.

The Word of Creation is incredibly powerful; with just a small price to pay, even mortals can use it to fight the Great Demon.

Ta Rasha let out a long breath, his throat burning intensely, sparks flying with each breath—this was the price of chanting ancient sacred incantations.

However, it's nothing serious; the body's self-healing ability is repairing the damage.

Seeing the power of the ancient incantation, Doom was deeply shocked. No wonder the Life Forger Prima had repeatedly warned him to use it with extreme caution.

Ancient sacred incantations, which demons call "the words of creation," are truly terrifying in their power.

With just two syllables, ten thousand demons were destroyed, creating a vacuum area.

"Follow me." Taking advantage of the opening, Doom roared and stepped out of the defensive circle to rush towards Bilak.

The Doomsday Warriors immediately adjusted their formation, using the Father of Gene as the spearhead, and charged towards the Demon Prince.

"Fire." It was the word of creation again. Obelisk whispered, causing the demon blocking his path to burn from the inside out.

He coughed a few times, reported that he was safe via telepathy, and stated that he would not be able to cast any more spells for a short period of time.

"Lightning." A bolt of lightning struck out of nowhere, blasting the area in front of them into a fiery inferno.

After witnessing its power, the Doom Warriors were eager to try the ancient spells in order to master them as soon as possible.

When the Father of Genetics taught the ancient incantations, T'Rasha learned them best, and his pronunciation was closest to the ancient syllables, so his power naturally far exceeded that of his brothers.

With the attack triggered by the ancient holy incantation, the warriors charged even faster, stepping on the demon's body as they attacked the demon prince who was casting a spell.

“All your efforts are in vain!” Birak remained calm, raising its hoof to stomp down, and a dark magic circle extended from beneath its feet into the shadow realm.

"I have ruled this place for countless years, leaving behind numerous contingency plans; all that is needed is to activate them."

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" It roared with laughter, filled with the joy of victory, and pointed its towering body at Doom, saying, "Godslayer, we shall meet again!"

"The teleportation array can't affect me." Doom didn't stop, instantly accelerating into a phantom, breaking away from the charging group, and heading towards the smug Bilak.

He wasn't worried about the safety of his offspring; after slaughtering a large number of demons, they became much stronger.

“Shake you?” Birac shook his head, his left eye wide open, gleaming like a small star: “I never thought I could shake you.”

"Taking you into the warp is just part of my retreat plan!"

"Retreat?" Doom casually slashed at the demon in front of him and sneered, "The shamelessness of demons always exceeds my imagination. They can even make a rout sound so dignified."

As he said this, he stopped in his tracks.

The ground began to tremble. Bilak had not teleported himself, but rather the entire Shadow Realm.

The underground teleportation array was activated, and the Shadow Domain was about to leave, heading into the depths of the subspace to hide out of sight.

Birac shook his head: "No matter what, I won this battle."

“I achieved my strategic objective, but you failed to kill me.” It raised its arm to touch the scar on its cheek, tracing the wound across its eyes and horns, and said with hatred in its voice:
"I will remember this wound, curse you from the depths of the warp, and continue to use my power to take revenge on you!"

As its words fell, the shadow realm, starting from its edge, transformed into black starlight and vanished, and the teleportation array began to transfer the entire continent.

“I await your revenge.” Doom’s tone was calm as he drew his Judgment Sword, tearing open a warp rift. He turned to his offspring and said, “This place will collapse. We must leave now.”

"Heh heh heh~" Birac said smugly, completely absorbed in his own world, "The Four Gods never stop; they have a grand plan to entertain you~"

Doom turned to Birac and said, "Tell them to hurry up, I have a score to settle with them!"

"Hmph." Seeing that Doom remained unmoved, Birac snorted and disappeared into the dark light.

At the last moment, Doom also stepped into the warp rift, leaving the original site of the Shadowlands. The warp fell silent, as if the demon realm had never existed there, and as if no battle had ever taken place.

From his return to his departure, the entire process took less than a minute; everything happened too fast.

Some warp creatures who came from the depths of the warp to visit or seek refuge gazed at the empty void and fell into deep thought.

Doom and the Doomsday Warrior crossed the rift and arrived in the unknown, wandering through the warp with their offspring.

He set foot on a distorted continent, a land that seemed alive, possessing eyes and tentacles, rising and falling with slow breaths. Above him floated a shattered world, and in the far distance, a variegated sun with eyeballs sprouted from it, emitting a dim glow.

Having been away from the Shadowlands for an unknown period of time, their journey was peaceful, with occasional warp creatures jumping out and then fleeing as if they had seen a ghost, leaving faster than they had come.

Doom was not aimless; he had a clear purpose and was moving in a fixed direction.

Since arriving on this distorted continent, the left arm armor has reacted, emitting a hazy sense of disgust when pointed in a certain direction.

Unable to safely return to the real universe for the time being, he plans to search for the source of his aversion, hoping to find something unexpected.

What could make the Star God Fragment hate something is perhaps some ancient relic.

“This is it.” Doom stood at the edge of the continent, peering down and beckoning his offspring to follow.

Beneath the continent, a ruin floats, like a steel sea urchin formed from the wreckage of a warship, silently suspended in subspace.

Even with Doom's exceptional eyesight, it was difficult to discern who the ship belonged to. The subspace had eroded the traces of the past, and he could only identify it as a human ship.

"My lord, how do we get across?" Ra stood at the edge overlooking the ruins and said worriedly, "We don't have any void propulsion equipment."

His concern was not fear, but a real problem.

Subspace physics is unstable; gravity exists on continents, but not in the void, which is a vacuum similar to the cosmic environment.

Without sustained external propulsion, relying solely on initial momentum, it is easy to come to a standstill in the void, struggling and slowly waiting to die.

“That is indeed a problem.” Doom crouched down, his brow furrowed slightly, as he pondered how to get there.

He did not use the Judgment Sword to leave the warp for this very reason.

Without real-world coordinates, blind jumping could easily lead to catastrophic accidents. What if the other side of the rift leads to outer space, the upper atmosphere of a planet, or even the interior of a star...?

"Sophia." He lightly dodged, calling out to Sophia's AI terminal: "Do you have any objections?"

Sophia's petite figure appeared, and she shook her head regretfully, saying, "My lord, this is the subspace. Although everything is usable, it is in complete chaos, and I can hardly offer any good advice."

"Thank you for your hard work." Upon hearing her explanation, Doom simply nodded calmly, without any surprise on his face.

Sofia's image sighed softly and then disappeared: "I am deeply sorry that I was unable to help."

Doom shook his head. It wasn't a matter of ability, but rather the vast difference between the warp and the real universe.

He remained silent, gazing down at the vast ruins thousands of kilometers away, pondering how to get there.

The arm guard felt intense aversion; the object of his hatred was right before his eyes. Was he really going to give up like this?

Doom felt a surge of resentment.

This is the subspace, a place of nothingness and uncertainty. Once you miss it, it's gone forever. The probability of meeting it again is even smaller than the probability of the four gods committing suicide.

As he intently observed, searching and calculating possibilities, a small fragment near the ruins caught his attention.

"Snapped!"

Doom slapped his forehead, cursing himself for limiting his thinking to the warp and not considering other aspects.

The Doom Slayer's attention was drawn to the Father of Genetics' actions, and he cast a questioning glance at him.

“This is the subspace, encompassing everything and possessing everything.” Doom shook his head with a wry smile: “The laws of physics are naturally encompassed and exist here as well.”

“Look over there.” He pointed to the small fragments that were slowly moving toward the ruins. “The ruins are very massive, and the resulting gravity is attracting surrounding objects.”

"All we need is an initial velocity to enter the gravitational pull of the ruins and wait for it to capture us."

“It’s feasible.” Sophia’s phantom appeared, raising her hand to chart a route: “We can reach our destination without any interference.”
