Warhammer 40: Doom

Chapter 285 The golden cicada escapes from its shell

Chapter 285 The golden cicada escapes from its shell
The mother worm howled in agony, her mind nearly frozen.

There have been too many unexpected events today. Someone tore through the psionic barrier with their bare hands, the psionic energy was rendered ineffective, and now they themselves have been pierced by firearms.

His mastery of psionic techniques seemed to have become completely useless, making him a laughing stock in the eyes of his enemies.

Doom had no idea what the mother insect was thinking, nor was he interested in finding out. He threw his shield, spinning it as he hurled it at the alien.

The engine roared, and the saw blade, formed from the hatred of the Star God, spun rapidly, slicing through the soul shield surrounding the Mother Worm and embedding itself into the flesh of her abdomen.

hum~ hum~ hum~
The shield's built-in engine roared rhythmically, like a living being emitting a terrifying laugh, as the serrated teeth spun at high speed again, slicing through the mother insect's body from bottom to top.

The insect mother screamed in immense pain, feeling her sharp teeth spinning inside her body, her skin being cut, her abdominal flesh being ripped out, and her internal organs and power gushing out from the wounds.

She endured the excruciating pain of her soul being torn apart, extending several tentacles in an attempt to pull out the weapon that was deeply embedded in and cutting into her body.

"Ah!" Another scream rang out as the nerve tendrils were immediately burned by the intense heat of the shield the moment they touched it.

The shield, forged from fragments of the Star God and bearing the mark of Doom, will burn any who harbor ill will.

At this moment, not only was the Queen's body being continuously cut apart, but the Star God's flames were also constantly eroding her flesh and blood. If Alpha Psionicist had not been strong enough, her body would have already turned to ashes.

Her summoned offspring were kept out by the Imperial Guard and the Doomsday Warriors, making it difficult for them to intervene in her duel with Doom.

The Queen was in great pain. Under the multiple traumas, her mind began to dissipate, and she could no longer maintain her psionic power. The psionic shield on the Silkworm Guardian shattered instantly.

The shield spun upwards, sawing open the mother insect's abdomen until it completely pierced her massive body. Finally, it burst out from her jaws, accompanied by a clump of flesh and blood, and spun into the sky.

Doom raised his left arm and waved his hand. The shield quickly turned in the air and flew back to its master, returning to the armor on his left arm.

The mother insect's head was raised high, her abdomen was ripped open, and various internal organs fell out with a clatter. The lower jaw of her benevolent face was split open, and her throat and tongue hung limply below her mouthparts, swaying in the wind.

His appearance was extremely pitiful, and his raised upper body was swaying precariously.

But the person who beat her to such a state showed no mercy. Instead, they attacked her again while she was powerless to resist!
Doom retracted his shield with his left arm, hung the super shotgun back on his waist, and casually took the hilt of his sword, illuminating the Dimensional Blade.

The hilt of this sword is exactly the same as that of the Judgment Sword, and the inscriptions on the blade are also the same. The only difference between the two is the color of the blade.

The Judgment Sword, with its crimson blade, embodies malevolent concepts and endless rage; it is a god-slaying weapon that surpasses even divine artifacts.

The sword that Doum is currently holding is a replica of the Judgment Sword made by the artisans of Nur. It is no different from ordinary dimensional weapons and is used for daily purposes.

He blurred, leaving a sonic boom in his wake, and instantly rushed to the mother insect's massive body, raising his dimensional sword and sweeping it horizontally.

The mother insect naturally wanted to resist, but it was too late.

The area where she supported her upper body, her raised waist and abdomen, was swept across by Doom's light blade, cleaving her centipede-like body in two.

In the silence, the mother insect's upper body, having lost its support, crashed to the ground, her ten-meter-long body slamming into the earth. She was powerless to resist and collapsed in front of the Gene Primarch.

In her daze, the Insect Queen felt a chill on her head. She opened her eyes and saw a tall figure standing on her head, a long sword pointed directly at her eyes.

Failure was inevitable, and only now did the insect queen regain her senses and weakly ask, "Who are you?"

She had asked this question before and still wants an answer.

Doom disdained to answer the question, remaining silent as he stepped on the alien leader, his gaze fixed on another battlefield.

He charged faster than his brother and quickly took down the mother insect, while Feralus was just starting to face the father insect, and their duel had just begun.

Like a bolt of lightning, Felus charged toward the Father of the Xenomorphs, raising the Forgebreaker to attack the Father of the Xenomorphs.

The Primarch Guard quickly deployed, and the Morlock Terminators repelled the Fiend Guards, protecting the environment for the battle between the Gene Fathers.

"Scum!" the Primarch roared, his blood surging beneath his iron hand, his silver iron hand veins twisting and knotting, as he blasted the Alien Father with all his might.

The father insect showed no weakness, swinging its massive tail and coiling towards Feralus. With its Alpha-level physical and psionic enhancement, it could barely keep up with the Primarch's movements.

Instead of retreating, Ferrus advanced. He noticed that his brother had finished the fight and that he needed to be quick to kill the enemy in front of him.

His steps were firm and powerful. The Furnace Breaker swung at the father insect's waist and abdomen, and the weapons in his firepower backpack unfolded behind him, all aimed at the coiling insect tail.

With a swift command from the mind, the power armor converted the consciousness signal into a digital signal, instantly unleashing its full firepower!

Rumble!
The Furnacebreaker struck the father insect's waist, its disintegrating force field shattering the insect's body, slicing away half of its flesh and creating a hole in its form. The fire pack also opened fire, unleashing a barrage of fire at the oncoming insect's tail.

The energy flow was extremely dense, comparable to the firepower of a Titan. In a fraction of a second, it shattered the insect father's tail into minced meat and vaporized its lower body.

Felus then went a step further, swinging the Furnace Breaker upwards and striking the insect's waist, breaking the father insect's waist and causing its upper body to fall down.

Everything happened too fast. The mother and father insects were defeated and killed after only a few seconds in the battle against the Gene Primarch.

“I don’t like looking up at Xenomorphs,” Felus Forgebreaker said, pressing his forehead against the Father Bug’s, his eyes full of disdain. “Xenomorphs are better off lying on the ground.”

He gradually increased the power of the disintegration field, making the alien feel the pain of its flesh being broken down.

The insect father trembled all over, hissed with his mouthparts, and the millions of eyes on his body swayed wildly, releasing painful gazes.

Felus looked up at his brother, smiled at Doom, and raised two fingers to indicate that he had defeated the filarial father with just two hammer blows.

Seeing that he was unharmed, Doom nodded slightly and pointed the dimensional blade at the mother insect at his feet: "Proceed according to plan."

"clear."

Felus nodded, gripped the hammer handle with both hands, raised the Forgebreaker warhammer, and, at the same time as his brother, struck down the alien leader!
Doom beheaded the mother insect with a single sword strike, while Feralus smashed the father insect's head; both giant insects perished at the same time.

This was a tactical plan that the two had carefully considered before the battle, in order to prevent any unexpected events from occurring.

The universe is vast and wondrous. When dealing with these pairs of aliens, it is best to kill them at the same time to prevent their powers from merging and combining into an even more terrifying existence.

With the Ghanaian filarial leader fallen, the filarial guards became even more vulnerable and were quickly wiped out.

Feralus walked toward his brother, grasped Doom's arm, and the Primarch surveyed the surroundings before unleashing a thunderous roar: "Victory!"

"Victory!" Morlock stood in formation, raising his arms and shouting the name of victory.

The Imperial Guards and the Destroyers did not shout; instead, they struck the ground with their weapons to sound the drumbeats of victory.

"What a satisfying raid!" Felus hoisted the Forgebreaker onto his shoulder, pointed his iron finger at the two giant worms, and marveled at how swiftly the battle had ended.

Doom smiled and casually placed the shield into the dimensional space: "They are dangerous, but they don't have much combat experience, so naturally they can't defeat battle-hardened warriors and us."

Ferrus nodded, agreeing with his brother's point of view.

The filarial leader is indeed very powerful, but lacks combat experience and is somewhat slow to react in battles of the same level.

"Let's go. There are no more battles here that we need to take charge of. Just leave it to a mortal."

After saying this, Ferrus strode away, leading the legionary warriors away from the battleground: "The fleet battle is about to begin."

Doom nodded, then turned back to look at the giant worm's remains before leaving, a disdainful smile on his face.

Without uttering a word, he led his troops to catch up with Feralus, preparing to discuss the next phase of the space war deployment.

Ground forces breached the Feralas capital, and most Space Marines returned to orbit, leaving behind mortal forces to cleanse the Feralas infected and purify the world.

During this time, the Shapeshaping Union's fleet returning to its home planet finally arrived at the edge of the star system, only to run into the Imperial Navy, which was waiting in ambush.

“Brother, leave the enemy navy to the Iron Hand.” Ferrus, aboard the Iron Fist, spoke to Doom via holographic communication, his words filled with the pride of taking on all responsibility.

“Of course.” Doom nodded in response, sitting on his throne, looking relaxed and showing no intention of joining the war.

In order to quickly reach the other worlds of the Shapeshifting Union, all of Nur's ships were dispatched, using high-speed engines to travel into the void and destroy the alien worlds.

Currently, within the Ghana system, the remaining fleet consists entirely of the Iron Hand fleet, with only the Royal Majesty belonging to Nur.

"Please watch closely, no enemy will be able to break through the blockade of the Iron Hand fleet."

Ferrus straightened his expression, made a promise, cut off communications, and went to deploy the fleet for combat.

Doom looked down at the world through the full-scale bridge and knew he needed to take action.

The parents of the filarial worms are probably laughing in the shadows.
