Chapter 282 Wilderness Races
Chapter 282 Wilderness Races
"Ka~ka~ka~"
The hoarse, sorrowful sobs continued, a lament for the extinction of their race, the voice hoarse, the grief so heart-wrenching.
Alpha-level psionic energy surged across the battlefield, tears streaming down the faces of the mortal support soldiers, an inexplicable sorrow eroding their reason like a tidal wave.
Under the psionic shield, the grief emanating from the alien creature's overlord instilled a sense of guilt in the mortal army.
Imperial soldiers reflected with regret—what kind of battle was this? Why did they come here? To destroy a harmonious alliance?
If it were to save their fellow humans, they would be living happily now, even without alien control, they would take up arms to fight against the Empire.
Before the empire unleashed its extermination, the world was highly developed, and its people lived in peace and prosperity.
They descended from the sky, killing the people here with guns and destroying prosperous cities with cannons, shattering those beautiful lives pursued in other worlds without even realizing it.
Some soldiers with weak wills took off their helmets, their faces full of remorse, moved by the sorrow of that great being, and reflected on the sins they had committed.
Within Nur's army, ordinary soldiers remained unmoved, using their electromagnetic guns to kill any who slipped through the net, demonstrating their resolve through unwavering action.
They were by no means ruthless killing machines—but rather flesh-and-blood human beings, each time they pulled the trigger, they carried a clear will.
The education they received in Nur instilled in the auxiliary soldiers the right values and made them fully aware of their actions.
Beneath the surface of harmony lies the enslavement of humankind by aliens, who wantonly possess everything. Humans are nothing more than fat meat in their mouths, ready to be devoured at any time, completely taking over a person's everything.
Family, friendship, love, knowledge, soul, body—the aliens control lives from the shadows, then annihilate the host's consciousness and possess everything humanity has.
Do not!
It doesn't possess everything that humans have, but rather that humans originally belonged to it, and were cultivated by the aliens over a long period of time, becoming its exclusive property.
Property, on the other hand, has no free will; its existence is merely an illusion.
Every Nur warrior knows this dark truth: beneath the false prosperity lies a silent lament for the annihilation of human consciousness.
Therefore, this sinful world must be destroyed!
Tear apart the falsehood, expose the bloody darkness, and let it bask in the sunlight, dispelling the darkness that has shrouded us for millennia.
Even if the price is the complete annihilation of the local population, the fall of prosperity, and the return of everything to death.
But to eradicate the deadly poison that erodes the bone marrow, the only way is to cut away the rotten flesh, even if the price is temporary death.
It was with this understanding that Nur's auxiliary army developed an iron will, driving their fingertips, trembling with psionic energy, to pull the trigger and fire continuously without any hesitation.
The change in emotion happened in an instant, followed by a roar that shattered the psionic energy like thunder, jolting the mortal soldiers awake from their grief.
"Wizards!" Felus roared, his voice echoing outwards, dispelling the smoke and shattering the psionic fluctuations: "Stop your psionic tricks, or I will be your ultimate punishment."
His eyes widened in fury, filled with rage, and the shattering lightning on the furnace-breaker pointed disdainfully at the psionic barrier:
"You have kept humans in captivity for thousands of years, which is the original sin of you filthy creatures. To attempt to defile the purity of humanity is to add sin upon sin."
"Today you will all die, to expose hypocrisy through death, and to atone for humanity's sins through death!"
At this moment, the imperial offspring, fueled by the fury of humanity, proclaimed their judgment against the aliens and declared their desire to avenge their kin.
Doom stood silently. Now that his taciturn brother had uttered the words of judgment, he would put that judgment into action.
"Mortals, retreat to a safe distance," he demarcated the safe zone and said to the psionic masters who were teleporting with him before charging forward, "If anything unexpected happens, raise your psionic barriers."
The psychic master bowed slowly and used sign language to indicate that he had received the order to remain vigilant and isolate the battlefield when necessary.
The unexpected event that King Norwick spoke of was the warp demons, and they must not be exposed to the Imperial Legion.
With the Psionic Master's assurance, Doom felt much more at ease. He nodded, turned, and left, leading the Imperial Guard and the Doom Warriors toward the Psionic Barrier.
Felus signaled the legion to hold their ground and the mortal troops to retreat. He then took the Forgebreaker's Warhammer and personally finished off the alien leader.
He walked alongside his brother, the broken rubble creaking beneath his power armor boots, unable to withstand the Primarch's wrath.
The two Primarchs walked side by side, their chilling killing intent forcing the Xenomorphs to retreat and cower among the ruins, trembling.
"A race of scoundrels." Feralus spat disdainfully, the saliva falling to the ground and corroding, smoking. The Primarch, now in combat mode, was itself a weapon. "The Xenomorphs are still savage; they have no honor, everything is a lie." Doom, shield in hand, strode forward, his gaze sweeping over the ruins to the towering buildings in the distance, and said dismissively:
“Filarial parasites live on humans, inherit from humans, and continue the human race. Everything comes from humans, and the race cannot escape the imprint of humans.”
“Filarial worms have no racial culture, no understanding of art and creation. Stripped of all human characteristics, the aliens are just a savage race. They are barbaric and backward, and do not yet know honor and shame.”
“So…” Doom explained to Feru as he walked, his voice echoing through the ruins, belittling the existence of the Ghana worms: “Don’t expect a primitive race to rush out and fight you out of some belief; they’re not that advanced yet.”
“That’s true,” Felus scoffed. “I was wrong; I overestimated them.”
The two Primarchs walked through the ruins, bathed in sunlight, their figures slightly obscured by the still-settling dust, resembling warriors emerging from the mists of mythology.
Those aliens that dared not show themselves hid in the darkness, not even daring to look up, for fear of being burned by the radiance.
The loving mother, hiding in the shadows and connecting her offspring with silken tendrils, listened without showing any anger. She tried to understand honor and faith, but ultimately gained nothing.
A sense of unease did well up within her; the words of the emperor's offspring seemed to have struck a nerve with something brewing in her consciousness.
But the next moment, that slight displeasure disappeared without causing any further ripples.
The loving mother was only thinking about how to deceive the human leaders so that her race could have a chance to breathe and continue to survive in the galaxy.
Soon, the two Primarchs led their team to the psionic barrier without encountering any obstacles along the way.
"Humans! Can't you just leave us alone? Why do you have to exterminate us?"
A voice came from within the psionic barrier, masking the sorrow, its tone gradually softening from harsh to pleading.
"Hmph!" Felus snorted coldly, amused by the voice coming from the barrier. He raised his hand to the left and right, and said disdainfully to the person inside the barrier, "See the ruins around us? Isn't our sincerity obvious enough?"
"I really can't imagine what kind of stupid creature is behind this barrier, still unable to see the situation, committing a serious crime and then begging for reconciliation."
“Brother is absolutely right. You have no shame or determination. You are a lowly race that will stop at nothing to survive.”
Feralus raised his chin slightly, displaying a disdainful attitude to the creatures within the barrier, and casually pounded the barrier with his iron fist to see if he could break through the psionic energy.
Unlike his brothers whose vision was obscured by the barrier, Doom's vision remained all-seeing, allowing him to clearly see what was inside the pale purple barrier.
Inside were two Alpha Psionic Silkworms, possessing a detached mindset and having gained the power of the warp, leading their guards as they awaited their arrival.
Without a word, he handed the shield to Felus, hung the super shotgun on his waist, and stretched out his large hand toward the barrier.
Just as he was about to ask how to enter the barrier, Felus shut up and stepped aside, clutching his brother's shield.
Doom's two arms passed through the psionic barrier without any resistance and slowly seeped into it.
Upon seeing this, Felus's eyes widened in disbelief, and he even raised his hand to press against the barrier in defiance.
He shook his head helplessly, resigning himself to the fact that his brother possessed extraordinary talent, much like his own iron hands, and had a unique gift.
Beneath billions of tons of soil, the loving mother, trapped in her cocoon, was also in a state of panic. Her nerve tendrils throbbed wildly, and her body convulsed instinctively, trying to break free from the mental control that pierced through the psychic link.
The massive human, his arm piercing through the material realm, miraculously grasped her consciousness via a psionic link.
"What happened?" the loving father on the mother's back asked in his will. He sensed his partner's unease, stopped sowing life, and lowered his insect head to rub against the mother's head.
Just as the loving mother was about to explain, her large body began to writhe in pain. The writhing was so violent that it flung away the grieving father, and her ovipositor flung out countless insect eggs.
The mother's body convulsed, her mouthparts spewing out threads, her face contorted in horror. Entangled in the threads of her tentacles, she crashed to the ground, her head thrashing wildly inside the cocoon, trying to alleviate her mental anguish through physical pain.
Outside the psionic barrier, Doom's expression darkened. His hands seemed to grasp something, his body slumped, and the veins in his arms bulged as he roared, "Open!"
