Warhammer 40: Doom
Chapter 270 Extinction Plan
Chapter 270 Extinction Plan
"Your Father and I look forward to it together..."
Inside the sealed conduit chamber, the psionic fluctuations dissipated, the mother insect's agile movements disappeared, and she reverted to her instinctive feeding and egg-laying behaviors.
After their colleagues checked the equipment, the staff reconfirmed the number of people and their permissions before leaving the secret room.
KV-117 quickly followed, mimicking the process as it left the secret room with the team. Its mission was complete; it could now proceed to a safe area to await evacuation.
The data and intelligence were transmitted back to the Royal Majesty, and the completed intelligence model finally unveiled the mystery of the Shaping Union.
When the filth beneath the false prosperity is exposed, Doom sees only an empire parasitized and kept by aliens, yearning to expand once again across the stars.
"My lord, the intelligence model is complete. Please take a look." Sophia stood respectfully to the side, presenting the intelligence model to her master.
A holographic image unfolds, revealing the basic ecology, living environment, and expansion patterns of the Ghanaian filarial worm.
The alien intelligence, calculated and pieced together by the stone figures and jointly deduced by the intelligence departments, was sent to the bridge terminal.
Doom raised his head, looking up from his throne at the information terminal projection on the bridge, and carefully read the intelligence model.
Ghanaian filarial worm. Its origin is unknown, but it is most likely some kind of protozoan contaminated by subspace.
There are three pieces of evidence. First, filarial parasites have only existed for a thousand years, far removed from the dark ages of technology, and this is a modern-day alien infection event.
Secondly, there is psychic energy, which descends upon the consciousness of the ovipositor. The psychic energy fluctuations are extremely obvious and have subspace characteristics.
Finally, there is the high-level ecology of the alien race, which consists of "one father and one mother." When applied to the parasitic race, this means controlling the male-to-female ratio, using concrete entities to solidify its symbolic meaning, and enhancing its power in reality.
Filariat have a complete ecological logic. Their social operation is similar to that of ants and bees, and they are highly efficient "hive consciousness" societies, but they are also different.
Ants and bees do not possess advanced individual intelligence; the hive mentality determines the underlying logic, and lower-level individuals cannot possess advanced intelligence.
If multiple advanced intelligences emerge in the hive, the colony will split, which is detrimental to collective consciousness.
Unlike the collective consciousness of Ghanaian filarial worms, they parasitize intelligent species, completely devouring and inheriting the host's intelligence and individual consciousness.
In lower-level individuals, almost all possess their own will, yet are completely obedient to their "higher-level parents."
Moreover, at the highest ecological niche of filarial worms, there are two supreme wills: the "great mother" responsible for reproduction and the "father" responsible for hunting and feeding.
The development of alien populations relies on two high-level entities, with them forming the core of the ecological closed loop.
In the sealed chamber, the mother insect lays eggs and reproduces its species. Lower-level individuals parasitize the human body, reproduce offspring of the host, and provide a continuous supply of resources.
At the bottom of the city, the male insects decompose their prey to provide nutrients for the female insects, thus accelerating the reproduction of the species.
Mother—Child—Father. These three ecological niches are interdependent, endlessly reproducing and plundering other species.
After seeing all this, Doom's expression turned grave.
The parasitic infection of Ghana filaria has spread throughout the Shaping Union and hundreds of core worlds over the past millennium.
The reason they did not continue to expand may be that they lacked a subspace engine or subspace navigation.
Now, the arrival of the human empire is seen by the silkworms not only as a hope for expansion, but also as a sumptuous feast.
The aliens yearn to board human spaceships, spread their infection throughout the galaxy, and even seek to exterminate humanity, inherit everything from the human race, and establish an unparalleled empire.
This is the ultimate goal of the Shaping Union, which is eager to relinquish all power and merge into the Human Empire as soon as possible.
It was this urgency that made the empire realize something was amiss.
As he looked at the intelligence model, Doom, with a solemn expression, said, "Open the report submitted by the Shaping Union and show its specific territory."
Sofia raised her hand, and the information terminal displayed the Shapeshifter's territory.
To demonstrate its sincerity, the filarial worms submitted information about its territory during their initial contact with the empire, in exchange for the empire's trust.
The Shaping Union has hundreds of core worlds, several heaven worlds, twelve casting worlds, a large number of resource worlds, and countless space stations and star fortresses.
Doom glanced at them, shook his head and sighed, "What a pity... these high-value worlds, these beautiful paradise worlds, are about to turn to dust!"
Faced with such cunning aliens, he has a responsibility to clean them up and completely eliminate the Ghana worms from a physical standpoint.
This Star Harbor is not located at any subspace hub and has extremely low strategic significance, allowing us to freely employ any means to eliminate the alien beings! They must pay the price for their actions!
For thousands of years, filarial worms have continued to parasitize humans, enabling sustainable captivity and harvesting.
Based on the current population of trillions, it is estimated that at least fifty generations of humans have been devoured by aliens during the millennia of captivity, and trillions of people have become food.
These insane aliens must be dealt with with a heavy blow!
Despite his anger, Doom remained calm and waited for reinforcements to arrive and seal off the entire Shaping Union.
In the cruel universe, if one harbors the thought of annihilating a race, then one must nip it in the bud, or there will be endless troubles to come.
Especially dangerous species like the Ghanaian filarial worm, which are extremely elusive, can potentially resurface if even one egg escapes.
They are too dangerous, inheriting all the memories and knowledge of their host, able to evade genetic testing, and control growth hormone stimulation to arbitrarily shape their bodies.
Without the host's knowledge, it silently takes over the body, and eliminating consciousness is as easy as lifting a finger.
If any of them are overlooked and infiltrate human society, the terrifying consequences would be unimaginable.
Therefore, out of respect for the Ghanaian filarial worms, Doom prepared a plan—to exterminate all alien-infected worlds.
Aside from the Shape-Shaping Union homeworld, an extinction order was issued for all other worlds inhabited by aliens, sacrificing hundreds of worlds for the safety of humanity.
Such a price is acceptable! And it must be accepted!
In order to survive, the Ghana worms will not hesitate to exterminate humans, and in return, humans will pay a high price to completely annihilate them.
Having determined his strategic objective, Doom multitasked with planning, beginning to meticulously craft the details of a genocide.
He casually took the neural sensor from beside the throne, attached it to his temple, and converted his thoughts into digital signals to perform dazzling operations on the holographic image.
“My lord, Stone Man Victor requests an audience with you,” Sophia said softly, offering a perfectly timed reminder.
"Invite him in."
While multitasking, Doom met with the spaceship weapons master, Victor Stone, while simultaneously developing strategic plans.
Before long, a fat man dressed in craftsman's clothes, dragging several mechanical limbs behind him, and with a greasy face walked in through the bridge gate.
"Sir, are you formulating a plan to eliminate the aliens?" Victor bowed, placing his hand on his chest. A mechanical appendage circled around to his front, projecting a rapidly changing holographic projection.
As part of the next battle plan, Doom did not encrypt it but instead deduced it within the data core, accessible to those with sufficient privileges.
"Yes." Doom nodded, responding to the weapon master's question.
"Do you remember this intelligence?" Victor smiled, his round face wrinkling and his eyes narrowing into slits.
The mechanical appendages moved forward again, pulling a thin line from the intelligence model to display the intelligence records of the Iron Man KV-230.
The worms residing in the couple's bodies rejected the sleeping potion injected by the Iron Man, which they mistook for mosquito bites.
"Do you have any thoughts, Weapon Master?" Doom naturally knew about that record; he had carefully written it down.
As a known weakness of filarial worms, their value in a grand strategy is generally limited, and they are of little use under the threat of extinction.
If we want to use it as a tactical means for biological warfare, how many mosquitoes would we need to release?
Therefore, Doom noted the weakness but did not incorporate it into his operational strategy; instead, he kept it in his mind as a backup record.
“I do have an idea.” Viktor raised his hand, scratched his bald head with hardly any hair left, and chuckled nervously, “but it’s not quite mature yet.”
"Then go and do it."
Infected by his憨笑 (a kind of silly grin), Doom also smiled slightly: "Sophia will cooperate with you to realize your immature idea."
Viktor straightened his expression and accepted the important task entrusted to him: "If my guess is correct, it should be very effective!"
Doom nodded to him, signaling the weapons master to go ahead and do it, while he would focus all his attention on the tactical details.
The weapons master bowed and, after receiving approval, left the bridge to carry out his ideas and work.
The bridge returned to calm, the starry sky outside the portholes was silent, and the storm of destruction was about to strike, annihilating the Shapeshifting Union and completely erasing its physical existence.
In the warp, a legion advanced rapidly, responding to the call of the Warrior King.
