Chapter 249 Teleportation into the Venue
Chapter 249 Teleportation into the Venue
Guilliman boarded the occupied Macurag warship and was met with a scene of utter devastation.
Upon his arrival, the ship's workers and sailors were greatly encouraged and gradually gathered behind King Macragge, following the giant to the bridge.
Follow in the footsteps of the giants to the bridge, make contact with the outsiders, and find out what happened.
Guilliman walked hurriedly, his brow furrowed. Scattered throughout the passage were pieces of corpses of varying sizes, and congealed and semi-congealed blood covered the deck. The ventilation system was no longer able to filter out the heavy stench of blood and corpses.
He walked through the corridor in sorrow, shaking his head repeatedly at the sight of the people of Otlama being slaughtered.
Deep down, Guilliman remained vigilant, and through observation and analysis, he realized that the Nur soldiers were not simple.
As he walked through the ship's passageway, his extraordinary observational skills transformed what he saw into a holographic recreation of the battlefield.
Nur's senior warriors, using cutting weapons and coordinating with ordinary soldiers, tore apart the armed sailors' lines and charged toward the bridge.
From the blood-stained footprints of varying depths, Guilliman discovered that someone was carrying an object equal to their own weight.
Someone was seriously injured!
"What exactly happened?" he asked the sailors around him, eager to know the truth so he could prepare for the worst.
The situation is becoming increasingly chaotic, and we must unravel the truth behind the conflict to prevent it from escalating.
If handled poorly, it could escalate into two powerful factions launching a revenge expedition against Macurag.
"We don't know..." The captain of the sailors was equally bewildered, stammering as he recounted everything he had seen:
"Nur's men boarded our warship for a routine visit and were attacked as they were preparing to leave."
"A molten metal bomb suddenly exploded, and then we received orders to attack the visitors. The captain claimed we were under attack and had to retaliate."
The captain's answer made Guilliman's head spin. There was very little useful information, but at least one thing was certain—Macurag launched the attack first.
Then, the entire ship, driven by the captain's will, launched a targeted encirclement and annihilation operation.
As for why the Nur visitor was attacked, only the captain knows; he was the mastermind behind the incident.
"Not good!" Guilliman cried out, his body shooting forward like an arrow as he rushed anxiously toward the bridge.
His exclamation and command echoed from the warship's corridor: "You all wait where you are. If anyone else boards the ship, do not stop them or show any hostility."
Even after leaving, Guilliman made arrangements to prevent the conflict from escalating further.
He was in a hurry and rushed toward the bridge with all his might, leaving several afterimages behind him.
Guilliman, who had always been revered as a god by the Macurag people and considered himself omnipotent, prayed for the first time in his heart.
—Please don't die!
The captain who issued the attack order is the culprit behind the current situation; he must not die!
If he dies, all the blame will fall on Macurag, and the human empire and Nur will unleash their fury on the innocent.
Soon, thanks to his familiarity with the ship, Guilliman quickly reached the bridge and saw the cut-open steel gate.
"Stop!" he shouted angrily, stopping the armed sailors from besieging the bridge.
At that moment, Guilliman felt a strong sense of crisis and instinctively began to frantically call for help.
He immediately stopped in his tracks and dodged to the side. A flat, thin, blue beam of light grazed past his body and passed through the deck behind him without any resistance.
After dodging the attack, Guilliman suddenly realized that the situation on the field seemed to have changed.
The armed sailors appeared to be besieging the enemy, but in reality they were completely suppressed and forced to keep their heads down.
Even behind the bunkers, the shredded corpses of sailors were everywhere, within the firing angle of the steel doors, and no one dared to approach.
The weapon, emitting a bright blue beam, ignored any cover and suppressed a large number of sailors.
Hearing the angry shout, the armed sailors turned around and saw the towering figure of King Macragge. A sense of relief flashed in their panicked eyes.
"Sir, they've taken the captain hostage..."
Guilliman raised his hand, interrupting the sailor, and his serious expression finally relaxed a little.
He heard some encouraging news: the captain had only been kidnapped and was not in mortal danger.
"Friends from Nur," Guilliman, his tall figure hidden outside the firing line of sight, adjusted his tone to be as gentle as possible, conveying friendliness to the bridge:
"Did this conflict stem from a misunderstanding, or from a selfish personal decision? Can we talk about it?"
As the Primarch, possessing extraordinary charisma bestowed by the Emperor, Guilliman's loud voice echoed sincerely through the spaceship's corridor.
A deathly silence fell over the bridge as everyone awaited an answer.
"Stop your tricks," came the reply from the bridge, harsh and full of distrust and contempt: "We will not fall for it again. All you will face is Nur's wrath."
"King Norwick has arrived, and he will wield the hammer of judgment to smash your hypocrisy and despicableness to pieces."
"Come on, attack if you want! The Night Guards have no weakness and fear no one!"
Guilliman fell silent, standing in the corner sighing, knowing full well that once trust is broken, it can never be repaired.
Nur's visitors arrived with the courage to show trust, only to be betrayed by the Macuragh. Trust was torn in two by betrayal, creating a chasm that will take a very, very long time to mend…
"Lord Guilliman! Please save me..." A sobbing voice came from the bridge, and the captain recognized the person from the voice.
"Shut up!" The mortal auxiliary soldier swung his iron fist, smashing a mouthful of yellow teeth from the captain's mouth, and cursed, "No one here can save you."
Taking advantage of the brief pause in their conversation, the Night Guardian signaled to his colleagues to set up teleportation beacons to send teleportation coordinates to the reinforcements.
"Please forgive my rudeness. I will apologize to you afterwards." Guilliman's expression tightened again. After apologizing, he rushed towards the bridge gate.
He had to do this; for the sake of Macurag and Ottara, he had to keep the captain under control.
With his eyes fixed on the bridge, Guilliman dared not relax for a moment, his mind highly focused as he quickly analyzed the Night Watchers' movements.
The beam weapon was approaching the speed of light, and he knew he couldn't dodge it or defend himself with his body.
They could only observe the soldiers' movements, analyze the shooting angles, and use their own agility to dodge.
With a few strides, making full use of speed and reaction time, he rushed to the bridge gate.
The Night Guards immediately retaliated; they were surprised by the enemy's speed, but they were not helpless.
"Fire quickly and seal off the gate!" The veteran quickly adjusted his strategy; since he couldn't aim, he would use firepower to block the gate.
He took an egg-shaped grenade from his waist and threw it at the gate, unafraid of the enemy's advanced combat forces charging into the fray.
Guilliman straightened up and stepped back, his senses telling him he couldn't rush forward.
Sure enough, as soon as he retreated, the egg-shaped grenade exploded, forming a transparent circular area.
The bullet became extremely slow upon entering it, barely able to advance an inch, and slowly moved forward along its trajectory.
Stasis Grenade. One of the Night Guard's optional weapons, a time-traveling weapon created using ancient technology.
Cold sweat beaded on Guilliman's forehead, and his eyes twitched occasionally. Just who was Nur? He possessed a portable time weapon.
Five seconds felt like five centuries. When the time stop effect ended and Guilliman was about to charge again, he saw the Night Guard take out several more identical grenades from his waist.
He froze for a moment, then retreated back to the corner, took the automatic gun from the armed sailor, removed the magazine, squeezed out the bullets, and held it in his hand.
With bullets in his hand, Guilliman didn't hesitate any longer and rushed towards the bridge gate.
This time, he must succeed. He must retrieve the only witness.
Because a teleportation light appeared inside the bridge.
The Night Guardian threw out another Stasis Grenade to slow the enemy's advance; teleportation support would arrive in just five seconds.
Guilliman seized the opportunity, flicked his finger and fired a bullet from his hand, accurately hitting the stasis grenade and knocking it away.
The Night Guardians never expected that the seemingly unsolvable situation would be resolved by the enemy in such a way.
The tall figure dodged the gunfire, rushed into the bridge, and charged toward the captured captain with a clear objective.
Seeing this, the Night Guards fought back fiercely, determined not to let the attackers be taken away.
In the blink of an eye, the four Night Guards pounced and launched a coordinated attack.
The four launched their attack simultaneously, their dimensional rays overlapping to block the enemy's path.
This was a disaster. The dimensional rays were indestructible, penetrating freely within the bridge and even slicing through its protective layer.
The air pressure alarm sounded, and the internal air pressure gradually leaked out. If this continued, the captain would only face certain death.
"Damn it!" Guilliman, usually so gentle and refined, cursed under his breath as he swung his fists and feet at the Night Guard.
He realized that he would not achieve his goal if he did not defeat them.
How can we withstand the power of the Primarch?
Guilliman unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, his movements so swift that the Night Guards couldn't react in time.
He swept his fist across the ground, striking the soldier's head with just the right amount of force, stunning the first soldier.
He then kicked the soldier in the abdomen, denting his power armor. The heavy blow to his stomach and intestines caused him to faint, rendering him unable to resist.
Then, a cursed being was resurrected, grabbed a soldier by the back of the neck, and slammed him against the steel wall, knocking him unconscious.
“I meant no harm,” Guilliman declared again, reaching out to grab the warrior in distinctive armor by the throat.
Just as they were about to strangle him, a bright teleportation light appeared, and a tall figure appeared on the bridge accompanied by a white light.
Guilliman's hair stood on end, his body alarms were blaring, and every cell was sending out a signal to escape.
He moved quickly, following his instincts, and immediately let go and lightly jumped backward.
