Chapter 186 The Primarch Arrives
Chapter 186 The Primarch Arrives (Thanks to "AngelCL" for pointing out the typo.)
Of course, the cost was heavy; in just over ten minutes, more than half of the Titan Legion's warhounds, Titan, had been lost.
It's too tragic! Every moment, divine machines are falling, fighting to the death with the enemy!
Terrifying weapons were firing at each other, energy streams and physical weapons were colliding, and every death was awe-inspiring.
Then, Titan, the warrior, fell.
Several plasma cannons hit simultaneously, causing the Void Shield to overload and collapse. The scorching energy flow melted through the armor, ultimately detonating the reactor and turning even the Mechanical Throne into scrap metal.
As time went on, the Imperial Titans gradually lost their advantage and were overwhelmed by the sheer number of Xenomorphs.
A single Titan legion is simply no match for hundreds of alien Titans.
The Titan battlefield was like a purgatory, where steel colossi and fleshy monsters tore and clashed, with machine oil and corrosive bodily fluids raining down.
On the Imperial front, Urian personally took to the field to fend off the attacks of the Randan warriors.
Even with the Fearless awakened and all the Terminators deployed, they still couldn't suppress the charge of tens of thousands of Ran Dan's men.
Braving explosives and heavy firepower, they broke through the empire's high walls and stormed into the battle lines to annihilate the mortal auxiliary troops.
In just over ten minutes, Urian lost the signal of five thousand of his brothers, and the legion suffered heavy losses.
The highly skilled veterans of the legion were surrounded and attacked by the Randan warriors, and torn apart by the alien overlord.
The battle turned into a one-sided affair, with Ran Dan overwhelming the First Legion with sheer numbers.
Urian was heartbroken. His gaze met that of the overlord of Randan, and the two began to charge at each other.
He will never see the Primarch again, nor will he see his Legion brothers again.
In order to die a glorious death, Urian charged toward the overlord of Randan, determined to fight it to the death.
Just as Urian was about to charge, the Randan army suddenly retreated like a tide and began to regroup.
"Grand Master Urian, you seem a little anxious?" came the communication through the communication channel, calm yet authoritative.
Doom knew that the First Legion's Grand Master had used underhanded methods to lead this battle.
“Great Primarch, I dare not ask for your forgiveness!” Urian’s voice choked with emotion, tears welling up in his eyes. The Grand Master wept.
He looked up at the sky, and through the gaps in the swirling smoke, he could vaguely see a fleet of white warships.
Led by a blue flagship, they successively broke out of subspace and entered the real universe.
Doom's fleet arrived in the Morse system ahead of schedule—an anomaly that even he could not explain.
It's a very strange feeling.
In his perception, the fleet was moving normally and had indeed been flying in subspace for sixty days.
Three days ago, Sofia also ordered the fleet to prepare for battle.
However, upon arrival at their destination, a time comparison revealed that the First Fleet had arrived a few days earlier.
He didn't have time to think about the specific reasons yet, as there were more urgent matters waiting for him.
"Let's assemble the troops first and repel the alien forces before we talk about anything else." Doom didn't pursue the Grand Master's responsibility for the time being; the battle had only just begun.
"I will obey your orders." The Grand Master's eyes welled with tears, grateful for the Primarch's generosity.
If the Primarch asked him to commit suicide, he would not hesitate.
"Everyone! The Primarch has arrived! Slay the Xenomorphs!" the Grand Master roared, raising his longsword to resurrect the warriors.
The arrival of a Primarch greatly boosted the morale of the Imperial army; there could be no more inspiring news.
The alien fleet swarmed forward, ready to annihilate the fleet of warships entering the star system; they possessed overwhelming numbers.
Doom remained unperturbed; the fleet's combat strength lay not in its quantity, but in its technologically superior quality.
He wasn't in a hurry to wipe out the galaxy, but instead drew a dividing line, with Morse as the core of the third of the galaxy.
First, steadily occupy this area, then clear out the Randan aliens entrenched in the galaxy.
The First Fleet's hundred capital ships, along with various destroyers and frigates, left the fleet to clear the battle zone designated by King Norwick.
"Main guns, prepare! Attack the Battle Moon!" Doom sat firmly on his throne, issuing commands continuously.
"Disperse the fleet, destroy enemy warships, cover the landing ships' advance, and deploy troops towards Morse!"
The front gun port of the Royal Majesty was open, and a central main gun was charging, aimed at the combat moon in Morse orbit.
"Dimensional portal activated, penetrating enemy shields," Iron Man Gates reported, constantly monitoring the main cannon's status.
A pale blue light shot out from the edge of the main cannon, like a straw piercing a bubble, and penetrated the multiple shields of the Battle Moon.
Although Ran Dan didn't understand why the newly arrived human forces providing support were so different from the intelligence reports.
"Attack! Attack! Stop human activity!"
However, seeing the shield breached, the alien commander ordered a barrage of artillery fire, launching an attack on the human's massive flagship. In an instant, light spears, plasma energy vehicles, and various accelerated cannons unleashed their firepower upon the Royal Majesty.
All weapons opened fire on the hemisphere of the human warship.
The firepower was dense enough to tear apart an asteroid. After a long flight, it struck the Royal Majesty's shield and was swallowed up by the dimensional shield.
"The Molecular Disintegration Cannon is fully charged and ready to fire at any time." Gates raised his disc-shaped head, as if looking at Doom, awaiting his instructions.
"Destroy the alien's creations!" Doom showed no mercy, issuing the destruction order.
"Understood!" The cold, synthesized voice seemed somewhat excited as Gates pressed the launch control button for the virtual projection.
"Buzz~" There was no impact or cannon fire, only energy pouring out.
A stream of bright white particles shot out from the main cannon muzzle, guided by the dimensional portal, and flew toward the alien battle moon.
The particle stream was incredibly beautiful, like the long tail of a comet streaking across the empty starry sky.
Seeing the high-energy particle streams launched by humanity in a grand display, the Ran Dan Overlord was no longer nervous.
At such an energy level, even a direct hit wouldn't be able to penetrate the outer armor of the combat moon.
The moment they were hit, a piercing alarm sounded in the alien command center.
"Overlord! The Battle Moon is being destroyed!" Ran Dan reported, as the destroyed area on the holographic image continued to expand.
"What is this?" the Overlord roared angrily, white smoke billowing from its bio-armor. "Why isn't this information in our intelligence?"
From outer space, the area of the combat moon that was hit appeared crimson and was expanding in a ring shape.
Molecular decomposition cannon, a remnant technology of the golden age.
This weapon triggers a chain reaction of molecular disintegration in the target material by releasing a certain energy field or particle beam.
Once activated, the destructive effect will spread like dominoes, breaking down all matter within the target area.
This includes organic matter, inorganic matter, and even spacecraft, which are broken down into basic particles or ineffective dust.
One of the planet-destroying weapons carried by the Royal Majesty.
Once a target is hit, the decomposition effect will not stop until the hit target is completely decomposed and can no longer generate a chain reaction.
On the planet Morse, the Grand Master and Ran Dan were locked in battle when they suddenly sensed that the planet's angle had shifted slightly.
He looked up and saw the battle moon, suspended in its orbit, being disintegrated by some kind of weapon and gradually losing mass.
"Behold! The Primarchs have destroyed the Xenomorph space stations; they are utterly vulnerable before the Imperial Children!"
"For the Emperor!" the Grand Master roared, unleashing boundless power as he charged towards the ranks of aliens.
The surrounding temperature plummeted, and psionic lightning flashed across the front lines before bursting into intense light.
A hundred tall warriors emerged from the teleportation light, clad in golden armor, with red jewels atop their heads, their cloaks billowing in the waves of battle.
Master Urian was momentarily stunned; the appearance of the Imperial Guard had caught him completely off guard.
Before he could react, the emperor's personal bodyguards, wielding halberds and greatswords, charged toward Ran Dan.
It moved with the force of thunder, like autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves.
The golden warrior moved with astonishing speed, rushing into the Ran Dan battle formation in the blink of an eye, slaughtering the alien warriors like pigs and dogs.
Ran Dan, the overlord, was cut into pieces by the Imperial Guards in just two rounds.
"Your Majesty!" the auxiliary troops shouted, and the bodies of the mortals trembled. If it weren't for the battlefield, they would have knelt down on the spot.
The Imperial Guard was an extension of the emperor's consciousness; these legendary warriors, living in tales, were rarely seen in their lifetime.
“Urian Bendreg.” A captain of the Imperial Guard shield guards stood before the Grand Instructor, looking down at his face, his voice cold and indifferent:
“I am here on the orders of Primarch Doom Norwick to help you in this battle. What do you need help with?”
Normally, Urian would politely decline.
Now was not the time for politeness, so he pointed into the distance, where the Titan Legion was struggling to hold on, with only three warriors surviving.
"The Primarch has his own plans for the alien Titans." The Shield Guard Captain glanced around, then looked away and explained to the Grand Master, "The Doom Soldier will destroy them."
"Atlantic mechs." The Shield Guard captain pointed to space, gesturing for the Grand Instructor to look over: "They're here."
In outer space, ten large objects pierced the atmosphere, their burning flames descending upon the Titan battlefield.
