Chapter 181 Ran Dan Arrives
Chapter 181 Ran Dan Arrives
Urian shook his head and smiled bitterly; his wishful thinking never came true.
The massive object that blocked interstellar communication finally arrived in the Morse system after three days of subspace travel.
The reinforcements from the Ran Dan aliens have arrived, and they have arrived with such speed and power.
Their war technology rivals or even surpasses that of the Empire in some aspects.
The Fifth Legion's assessment was correct; Randan was indeed the empire's mortal enemy, a foe that humanity would fight with all its might.
As Urian was marveling at this, the subspace index in the Morse system continued to rise.
Three colossal subspace exits, arranged in a triangular formation, suddenly and evenly appeared within the galaxy.
The fleet noticed the anomaly, and the astronomical telescopes were locked on the subspace portal, with the oracles at full power, scanning for any unusual occurrence.
On the ground, Urian saw the anomaly in the holographic projection. He walked out of the command post and looked up at the sky.
The monitor inside the helmet zoomed in rapidly, displaying the captured image.
Within a galaxy visible to the naked eye, a colossal spherical object slowly leaves subspace and squeezes into the real universe.
It was even larger than Terra's satellite "Luna," and arrived in the real universe with overwhelming pressure.
The alien space behemoth has arrived in the real universe.
The appearance of the three battle moons, with their enormous mass, caused gravitational disturbances that made the planetary orbits tremble slightly.
The stars trembled, and so did people's hearts.
A battle moon appeared in the planet's orbit, and the oppressive force of the steel creation instilled even greater fear in the mortal soldiers.
Human beings are afraid of forces far more powerful than we can imagine.
After a week of relentless torment, the spirits of these ordinary soldiers are now on the verge of collapse.
"Snap!" The sonic boom of the whip dispelled the fear; the whip wielded by the military police was more intimidating than the alien creature hanging overhead.
The auxiliary troops lowered their heads, regained their courage, and opened fire on the advancing human cannon fodder.
“Brother,” Urian called out over the communications channel; he had to make arrangements.
"Grand Master, please give your orders." The Lord of the Void Heavenly Army intervened in the communication, his expression solemn, knowing the seriousness of the situation.
Urian said to the Lord of the Void Army, "I grant you the authority to command the entire fleet and preserve your strength to contend with the aliens."
“You are the most skilled in void fleet warfare, and I will not interfere with you. My battlefield is on the ground.”
"I understand." The image of the Lord of the Void Army dissipated, and he took over command of the fleet, directing it to leave.
Urian breathed a sigh of relief, feeling fortunate to have sunk a warship to the surface.
The Legion is now relying on its warships, forming a pincer movement on three high grounds, making it impossible for the Xenomorphs to conquer the First Legion.
The First Legion will hold out until the Primarch arrives.
No matter the cost, the First Legion will never abandon its position and will hold out to the death!
“Brothers! In four months, a Primarch will arrive and wipe out the filthy Xenomorphs and their minions.”
There were no words of encouragement; Urian wasn't good at that, and the First Legion didn't need any either.
They are the strongest legion, now trapped in an alien trap.
The mentor is confident that he can make it through his all-out effort, but the price he has to pay is extremely high.
We must conserve our strength so that we have enough power to fight back against the Xenomorphs once the Primarch arrives.
"Hold your ground and await reinforcements!"
Finally, Urian put on his helmet and went to the front lines to boost the morale of the mortals.
Seeing the horrific scene on the battlefield, the bullet holes in his brothers' armor, and the perseverance of ordinary soldiers, he felt a pang of guilt.
The First Legion, skilled in extermination and annihilation warfare, began to adopt a passive defensive posture due to a combination of factors.
The Imperial forces also paid a heavy price for their arrogance.
But we have to do it now; there's no turning back.
Once the war is over, Urian is willing to accept any punishment.
He accepted all punishments, whether they came from the Imperial government or from the Primarch.
The fleet departed under the command of the Void Celestial Army. The subsequent battles were mainly guerrilla warfare, with the main fleet hiding in the void to preserve its strength.
As the battle moon opened its various colossal gates, the void fleet emerged from them.
Each battle moon carries hundreds of semi-biological warships, filling the void around it.
The vast Morse system now appears crowded, with the alien naval forces far exceeding those of the Empire.
Upon seeing the Imperial fleet depart, the Randan fleet did not pursue them.
The alien knew that humans existed on Morse and that human rescue would surely come.
This was their original strategic objective, without any deviation.
Waiting for the rabbit to run into the tree stump, besieging the point and ambushing reinforcements. The tactics provided by human servants were indeed very effective. "Humble humans, lay down your weapons and surrender, and become servants of my race." Ran Dan's alien hacked into the Empire's communications and found Urian.
It acts arrogantly and satisfies its emotions by humiliating the existence of humans.
Urian remained silent as he finally saw the aliens, the true Randan race.
The alien's exterior is covered in limestone-like scales, and its lower limbs have six thick legs with all joints arranged outwards, allowing it to run in all directions.
The moment Urian saw Randan, he knew that she was wearing biological armor and that her actual body was short.
The waist is a rotating platform, and the design of the lower half of the bio-armor leaves no room for Ran Dan's main body.
The upper body of the bio-armor has two main arms with multiple joints, as well as several sliding tentacles.
The head has a rounded shape and is surrounded by a monitor that provides a full-view perspective.
The most eye-catching feature is the fleshy rod on its head, about a foot long, pink like tender flesh, resembling some kind of antenna.
The bio-armor had no facial features, but on its torso was a terrifying face.
Its eyes were wide open, it had a skull-like nose, sharp teeth in its mouth, and a long, ugly tongue that was licking its sharp teeth.
His face was extremely intimidating; most people would be terrified and lose their composure upon seeing it on the battlefield.
After a brief analysis of the alien's features, Grand Master Urian realized that Randan's physical form was relatively fragile.
"Hmph!" He sneered, extending an iron boot: "You filthy thing, you're not even worthy to lick my shoes!"
"You're nowhere to be seen on the front lines, hiding behind slaves. Are you coming out to meet your death now?"
For those skilled in verbal attacks, the power of a great mentor's words is generally limited.
But Ran Dan was enraged; its biological armor trembled, and white smoke billowed from the gaps.
It was worshipped by slaves as God, and had never heard such humiliating language before.
"I am Ran Dan War General - Lolos, and I will personally train you into the most obedient dog, making you lick ten thousand boots every day!"
“Come on! The Legion is right here,” Urian said with a sneer. “I’m afraid you don’t have the courage to face humanity and will hide behind the slave army.”
"Just you wait!" Lolos said rudely, then shut down the communication.
The communication between aliens and humans is mostly like this; there has never been any friendly exchange.
"Prepare for an attack from the aliens. They are very powerful. Probe them first."
Urian smirked. He deliberately provoked the aliens, forcing them to fight directly so he could gather crucial intelligence.
In orbit around the planet, the alien warship adjusted its posture, its side facing Morse, and fired round biological eggs from its anal folds.
The alien airdrop pod pierced through the atmosphere, away from human air defenses, and landed in front of the hive city.
The egg-shaped creature's egg broke, its juices flowing all over the ground, from which emerged a tall, elite Randan warrior.
They were tall, with gray rock bio-armor, as tall as space warriors.
It has two main arms, one holding a bio-gun and the other carrying a curved bone blade.
Multiple biological tentacles were flying around, their tips reflecting a cold light, like sharp, small blades.
A thousand Randan warriors descended from the sky.
Human beings are enslaved with fervor and excitement, as if a god has descended upon them.
"Crackling sound—"
The hideous face on the belly of the bio-armored creature roared with a built-in speaker, its piercing sound waves intimidating the human slaves.
From the hive behind them, a large number of alien technological creations were deployed and advanced toward the human front.
The artillery fire created ripples above, indicating some kind of directional defense device.
The emergence of elite warriors and war machines marked the beginning of the second phase of the war.
The most brutal hand-to-hand combat is about to begin.
"Wow~~~~" The human servant let out a strange cry, took off to catch up with the war machine, and charged toward the human position.
The tracks sank deep into flesh and blood, mercilessly crushing the bodies of the auxiliary soldiers, tearing up their shredded organs.
The auxiliary forces continued to fire, with red lasers targeting human traitors. Low-energy units successfully passed through the shields, killing a large number of enemies.
Once they were close enough, the Space Marines stopped firing and put on their melee equipment.
"Scum Aliens! Heed the wrath of Astartes!" someone roared, and Legion warriors, wielding various equipment, charged out of the lines.
They must go out to shield the mortals from the onslaught and provide a steady supply of firepower.
The Steel Sky Army uses vehicle targeting and driving of tanks and other battlefield vehicles to provide powerful firepower support for their brothers.
Powered weapons illuminated, force field shields blocked attacks, and the warriors of the First Legion clashed with the aliens.
(The shift change is really uncomfortable, so I'll just post three chapters for now. I'll write the rest later, and we'll see if I can post them.)
(Ran Dan's official character setting is very vague. The combination of original content and a vague official character setting made the writing process very difficult.)
