Chapter 177 Ugly and Vicious Things
Chapter 177 Ugly and Vicious Things
A massive fleet broke through the subspace barrier and returned to the real universe.
The fleet's engines shone with a brilliance as bright as the starry sky; from Morse code, it appeared as if thousands of stars had suddenly appeared in space.
They arrived in the Morse system, carrying the wrath of humanity, to bring destruction upon the abominable aliens.
With the fleet's astronomical array fully operational, massive amounts of data flooded in and were displayed in real time on the command platform of the Indomitable Truth.
The Morse system is rich in resources, containing a star, a habitable world, and several mineral-rich worlds.
However, things were not peaceful either. The aliens used the galaxy's natural resources to build a fortress-like galaxy here.
Numerous defense platforms are deployed along the orbits of various worlds, while fire traps are scattered throughout the void.
This is only the surface; the density of defensive fortifications in the shadows is even greater.
"Disperse the fleet and form battle formation," Urian immediately ordered, instructing the fleet to disperse and enter standard combat procedures.
The fleet assembled here is the empire's battle-hardened army; with just a simple command, the captain knows what to do.
The massive fleet dispersed, increasing the distance between the warships, and arranged themselves into battle formations in the void.
"Grand Master, a communication has been received." The communications officer turned to look at the Grand Master, awaiting his orders.
“Bring him in.” Urian nodded, standing ramrod straight.
The holographic projection lit up, and the displayed image caused the Grand Tutor's expression to change, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Traitor!" he cursed through gritted teeth at the person in the holographic image: "Abandoning human dignity to act as a lackey of the aliens."
Indeed, a human figure appeared in the holographic image, dressed in simple rags.
Through intelligence from the Fifth Legion, it was learned that the Randan aliens possessed mind control abilities. When facing humans directly, the Grand Master could not conceal his anger.
Within the holographic image, a gaunt human with a menacing expression warned the Grand Master: "Human, get out of here!"
Then his expression changed again, adopting a respectful demeanor: "This place belongs to my master."
The Grand Master's stern rebuke set the tone for the war: "Tell your master that we come bringing destruction, and we swear to exterminate them!"
A war of extinction!
The man suddenly knelt down, his face filled with utmost piety, praising the greatness of the alien: "My Lord has conquered hundreds of human worlds, and you too will submit to their great will!"
"Hopeless!" The Grand Master shook his head, raised his chin, and looked disdainfully at the humans who had become the alien's lackeys: "Tell them to wash their necks clean and wait for the humans to slaughter them!"
Having said that, without giving any chance to refute, the senior mentor signaled to close the communication.
The enslaved humans had barely uttered their angry rebuttals when the communication was cut off.
"Order the fleet to attack without restraint." Upon learning this, Urian felt relieved.
Humans have been reduced to slaves of aliens, and only destruction can purify their filth.
"Humans controlled by the Xenomorphs are no longer our comrades; they have no will of their own and have become the Xenomorphs' loyal lackeys!"
The Grand Tutor suppressed his anger, his eyes narrowed slightly, but his tense nerves suddenly relaxed.
A war without scruples, the First Legion has countless means to defeat the aliens!
"Understood!" the Lord of the Heavenly Army replied, leading his respective fleets to attack the alien creations in the void.
The warships of the human empire surged menacingly into the void, sweeping away the alien contamination within the galaxy.
Centered around three Glory Queen-class warships, the fleet was divided into three main forces and a dozen smaller fleets, launching simultaneous attacks in various directions.
Having spent years roaming the void, the empire's elite fleet has demonstrated formidable strength.
They lacked the precise calculations of the Nur fleet, but their battle-hardened instincts were enough to overwhelm their opponents.
As the human warships advanced, they engaged in combat with the first batch of alien defense platforms.
The technology of the Randan aliens is equally advanced, with energy weapons such as light spears producing the same output as the Empire.
This was an evenly matched battle; there was no technological disparity.
The defensive platform, thanks to its size, boasts more powerful firepower and shields, capable of overloading the warship's void shield with just a few salvos.
But the Imperial fleet wasn't stupid; it stood still and exchanged fire with the defensive platforms.
Each warship formation communicates frequently with each other, taking advantage of the warships' flexibility to rotate and resist the firepower of the defensive platforms.
The two sides clashed in the void, beginning a long exchange of naval gunfire.
The light spears and macro cannons fired in unison, the bird divination device locked onto the target, the divination array calculated the variables, and the timing of the weapon's launch was just right.
A blazing spear of light streaked through the void as the ship's laborers worked together to cramm the massive cannonball into the acceleration chamber.
Plasma and light lances took off, launching macro-projectiles accelerated to one-tenth the speed of light, bombarding the defensive platform's shields. The fleet deployed in full force, engaging their respective marked enemies; the situation looked extremely favorable.
The Exemplar of Hatred, the Unyielding Truth, and the Razor of Truth, like three sharp blades, pierced the very core of the galaxy.
The Unyielding Truth became even more aggressive, its target being the aliens' lair in the Morse system—Morse World.
Urian's vigilance gradually relaxed. The aliens were indeed dangerous, but the Empire's main fleet held an absolute advantage.
Just as the Grand Instructor lowered his guard and prepared to plan the landing operation, an unusual sound came from the communication channel.
"Grand Master! Alien warships have appeared behind us!"
A hurried voice came through; the mortal captain's report was urgent and fearful, as if he had seen something terrifying.
While Urian scorned the courage of mortals, he immediately looked at the holographic image. What he saw made him, an emperor-created Astartes, gasp in astonishment.
It was a gigantic warship with a terrifying appearance, filled with ugliness and disgust.
It was only then that Grand Master Urian realized that the information provided by the Fifth Legion might only be the tip of the iceberg regarding Randan.
The warships that landed with the Fifth Legion were human servants, and their style was similar to that of the Empire.
The real alien warship now appears in the void; it is a terrifying creation of extreme blasphemy.
The warships we see now may actually be the real Randan aliens.
The long, rectangular warship stretched across the void, its ten-kilometer-long gray-brown hull resembling a decaying giant whale, with fluorescent green pus seeping from between its scales.
Between the opening and closing of the scale-like armor, there are structures resembling breathing worms.
The upper deck is somewhat normal, covered with what humans perceive as "armor".
The lower half of the ship is nauseating, devoid of normal human aesthetics, and only a glance is enough to increase disgust.
A large amount of biological hull tissue, connective tissue wrapped around the peristaltic energy channels, resembled a diseased, pale human intestine dotted with moldy spots, with long, flocculent material trailing at the bottom.
Dense biological conduits undulated as the warship started, flowing with fluorescent green energy.
The superstructure of the warship was even more disgusting; it resembled a giant, trembling brain, covered with dense red blood vessels.
The warship's left and right sides were densely covered with folded round holes resembling an anus, which the Grand Tutor deduced were some kind of gun ports.
The ugly, alien warship had a bony ram covered in scales at its bow.
The Grand Master frowned and forgave the mortal captain's panic.
The alien warship's hull was covered with biological organs, while its engines were made of steel, and its plasma tail flames tore through the void.
With biotechnology as its exterior and mechanical technology as its backbone, the grotesque warship showcases the fusion of different sciences.
A warship that integrates technology and a purely mechanical defense platform are two completely different styles.
"What exactly happened?" the Grand Master asked the person in charge of the Bird Divination Array, since the alien warship couldn't have appeared out of thin air.
They not only appeared at the rear of the fleet, but also on the oracle, where the alien warships were responding more and more frequently, and signals from twenty alien warships appeared in the galaxy.
The crew immediately reported, deciphering the secret of the alien warship's stealth: "Sir, the alien warship uses some kind of camouflage technology to conceal its own signals, and the astronomical instrument cannot detect them."
"Attack them!" the Grand Master immediately ordered, launching a wave of attacks to test the firepower of the alien warships.
The fleet immediately changed course, drawing out enough warships to meet the strange, alien-like warships.
Sizzle~ Sizzle~ Sizzle~
Soon, the Imperial warships clashed with the alien warships, and the two sides began firing at each other at a long distance.
Blue high-energy clusters shot out from the cavity in the anal folds; it was some kind of bio-plasma cannon.
The brain tissues and organs trembled rapidly, emitting bolts of lightning that struck the warship's void shield.
The Void Shield flickered rapidly, overloaded in a very short time, and the lightning whip lashed out at the Imperial warship.
The warship struck by lightning experienced engine instability and its lights gradually went out.
"An electromagnetic weapon attack! It will deplete our warships' energy, leaving them completely defenseless!"
The communication channel crackled with static; the first batch of warships engaged in combat with the Randan aliens were sending back urgent alarms.
Without their shields, warships were like lambs to the slaughter. The Randan warships seized the opportunity, using their shields to withstand the Imperial warships' attacks and focusing their fire on the warships that were unable to resist.
A burst of sparks erupted in the void; in the void battle against the aliens, it was the humans who first paid the price.
