America: My Time

Chapter 1516 Fear

Chapter 1516 Fear
Chapter 1506 Fear
Do these old guys even have the chance to sit down and talk to John? At this point, they're still daydreaming. John is in Japan now, and their conflict has escalated to the point where they've had no way out since they started trying to completely crush John in the semiconductor chip market!
John was doing nothing but demanding answers from those guys in Japan. As for any changes in the US, that was not his concern. From the moment he left the US, there was no chance of reconciliation with those old guys. One of them had to fall before this matter could end!
"It seems you're not planning to give me a satisfactory explanation, otherwise you wouldn't have come up with such a ridiculous arrangement. Are you treating me like a fool? If that's the case, then there's no need for us to continue talking. Whatever happens next is your own doing!" John said disdainfully upon seeing the explanation given to him by the Japanese officials, a terrifying glint in his eyes. At this moment, John was filled with immense anger; this was a slap in his own face!
“Mr. John, we haven’t lied to you. This is what we know. It’s just a misunderstanding, the private actions of a few guys, and has nothing to do with anyone else!” The Japanese guys wanted to continue talking to John, but unfortunately, John no longer had any goodwill towards them. Perhaps this was because John had been too easy to talk to before, even knowing that the Japanese guys were deceiving him and playing tricks, he hadn’t bothered to make a fuss. But this time was different.

"Enough! Stop talking. I don't want to see you again. Please leave!" John didn't give these guys a chance to explain and directly ordered them to leave, showing no respect for the Japanese officials. These Japanese officials had always used the same methods to deal with John's questioning before, and they had always gotten away with it. But this time they failed, and John didn't want to give them another chance. In fact, this was exactly the situation John wanted!

After being expelled by John, the Japanese officials looked worried. They hadn't expected this outcome, since John had always given the Japanese officials a lot of face. But it was clear that he didn't want to give them another chance!

"What should we do? How are we going to explain this to the adults? If something serious goes wrong, we'll be the ones to take the blame, or even be abandoned. After all, our plan has failed, and now we don't even have a chance to salvage it!"

"We can only take it one step at a time. We were too arrogant and forgot what it means to be in awe. We kept trying to get by with the old methods, but we never expected things to get so crazy!"

"Yes, we can only go back and report to the adults first. As for what will happen next, it's beyond our control. It's not our fault. Blame those guys for being too arrogant. It has nothing to do with us. We're not at fault!"

What a convenient excuse! They're not at fault, but do they have the right to explain themselves to those bigwigs in Japan? From the moment they failed, they became expendable pawns, destined to take the blame for those powerful figures. The situation couldn't be allowed to deteriorate further, given John's staggering assets; even the slightest counterattack could worsen the Japanese economy!
"Failed? I told you before not to resort to these petty tricks. In the past, this wouldn't have been a big deal, and John wouldn't have bothered with it. But this time is different, yet you wouldn't listen. Now that we've failed, the pressure on us has become terrifying. Have you even tried to understand John's thoughts? What kind of explanation does he want from us?"

"Alright, what's the use of saying all this now? You've thought of all this, so why didn't you take a stronger stance and make all the arrangements beforehand? Now, our most important task is to resolve this crisis. If all else fails, we should hand those guys over. After all, we can't let everyone be affected because of them!"

"Perhaps we can ask Akio Morita to intervene. Given his relationship with John, there might still be a chance!" Just as these Japanese guys were discussing their strategy, a series of hurried footsteps approached, and soon someone came to report the news to them!

"What? You're saying John is leaving Japan?" Upon hearing this shocking news, many people gasped in disbelief. This was a situation they didn't want to see, and an outcome they couldn't accept.

"Yes, his private jet is about to take off. Things have blown up, and we're about to face his wrath and retaliation!"

"Damn it, how could this happen? Why couldn't he consider our predicament? Is this what we wanted to do? We had no choice!" At this point, someone couldn't help but complain, but unfortunately, complaining was useless. The price still had to be paid, since all of this happened right under their noses!
"Have those beautiful women around him left? Is there a chance to talk to them and ask them to persuade Mr. John? After all, this matter cannot be allowed to deteriorate any further, otherwise our economy will be affected. Don't forget that the Asian financial crisis has just passed!"

“I advise you not to have such thoughts. They've already caused a major incident. If we send someone to persuade them again now, what do you think Mr. John will think? It would be a slap in his face, or even make him feel like we're threatening him. The consequences would be unimaginable, do you understand? The only way to solve the problem now is for those guys to show sincerity. Empty words are completely useless!”

“How can we say this without any real action? We’ve paid the price, and we’ve made those guys who made the move pay a heavy price. Does he intend to force us into a corner?” At this moment, someone couldn’t help but get angry, feeling that John had gone too far and hadn’t given them any face at all. This was disrespectful to them!

Ha! These guys think they deserve John's respect? It's ridiculous! Don't they remember how they explained things to John before? How they looked down on John and thought they had everything under control? They think those lowlifes can understand this matter? What do they take John for?
Driven by their own interests, these Japanese officials immediately clashed. None of them wanted to take the blame; they each wanted the other to bear all the responsibility and neither wanted to get themselves involved further and become John's target!
"Could you arrange for someone to stop John's plane and get us a little more time?"

"Are you crazy? Do you know what you're saying? Do you think we'd do something like this? If you want to die, don't drag us all down with you. If we don't resolve this quickly, we'll all be in danger, and we'll all have to take the blame for those guys!"

"I'd like to know where Mr. John is going. Have you confirmed it?" Suddenly, one of the Japanese officials spoke up. Everyone fell silent as they waited for his explanation and plan.
"Taiwan, Mr. John is going to Taiwan!" The guy who came to report the news blurted it out without thinking twice.

"Fortunately, it's Taiwan, not Hong Kong, nor China or South Korea, so there's still a chance. However, our conglomerates' plans are going to fail. John already knows everything they've done, and he knows it all. If we don't offer enough benefits, someone will have to sacrifice themselves!" Silence fell. For a moment, the room was silent. No one wanted to speak, not because they didn't want to, but because they didn't know what to say. After all, the price those guys paid this time was too high. All of Japan's semiconductor chip companies were involved in the US cooperation, all trying to target John.

After a moment, someone spoke up: "What do they have to say about this? We fell out with Mr. John because of them, and they shouldn't be giving us an explanation in the first place. Perhaps we should wait a while, gather more information, and then make a decision!"

"We've already received a reply from them. They will take full responsibility and won't make us take the blame. However, we also need to bear some responsibility, since this all happened in Japan. No matter how much we explain, it won't make a difference. Now we can only wait for news from the US. Hopefully, they won't let us down!"

"Foolish, Koizumi, have you gone mad? You actually believed those guys in the US. If they had any conscience at all, they wouldn't have forced us to participate in the plan against John. Now that something has gone wrong, how can they not try to shift the blame onto us?"

"No, I think there's a high chance they'll take full responsibility. After all, they can't keep sabotaging us forever, and this isn't our fault. It's their treachery that's to blame. If they hadn't insisted on teaming up to kick Mr. John out, we wouldn't be in this situation now. In short, I won't trust them. These guys have no integrity! If we trust them now and take all the blame, another disaster will await us!"

"Gentlemen, is there any point in you arguing like this? Don't you know that John has already left Japan? Even if you wanted to explain, you wouldn't have the chance. Let's see how those guys in the US react before making a decision. We don't need a few more days; we have plenty of energy to face all the pressure!"

This guy's meaning is quite clear: if those old guys in the US, like Rockefeller, can't solve their current crisis, they shouldn't blame him for betraying their plans in exchange for John's forgiveness.

The idea is good, but reality is harsh. Their plan seems good, but it's hard to say whether it can be realized. Moreover, it heavily depends on the attitude of the United States, which is very dangerous for them.

"Let him tell us first whether the women around John have left. This is very important. Stop making a scene. I know you all have your own selfish motives, but now we need to work together to get through this difficult time!"

It's chaotic. These guys in the Japanese government want others to make sacrifices for their own interests, but unfortunately, no one is willing to sacrifice themselves to light up others. They all have their own conglomerates behind them, and they can't ignore the interests of these conglomerates.

“Some people left, and some stayed. They don’t seem to have been affected! Perhaps this is our chance. As long as we show enough sincerity and get them to discuss things with Mr. John, there might still be a chance. We can’t put all our hopes on the Americans. They have no sincerity at all!”

Just as these guys were arguing, another series of hurried footsteps sounded, and soon someone came to report to them. These old guys had received another document, and when they read it, their faces turned extremely gloomy. The document in front of them was sent to them by John, detailing the schemes against him. The identities of those guys from Japan had been exposed, which shocked them!
"What should we do now? I told you before not to trust those guys, and now that things have gone wrong, what do you have to say? It's time for us to make a change. Have someone notify those people that this matter is beyond our control, and they will be facing a counterattack from Mr. John!"

The clever guys quickly realized John's intention. This was not just a document, but a declaration of war. Things had come to this point, and they had no way out. When they chose to join forces with those old guys like Rockefeller to scheme against John, they had already made a deep grudge against him. After all, this was a betrayal of John!

Why did this happen? The reason these Japanese semiconductor companies trusted those old Rockefellers wasn't just because of the EUV lithography project; they had other calculations. They didn't want John to monopolize the semiconductor industry, jeopardizing Japanese interests. Unfortunately, their plan failed, which is a complete joke! Even if they could have joined forces with those Rockefellers to kick John out of the semiconductor industry, could they have seized John's market share? They were overthinking it. Even given countless opportunities, these guys couldn't have seized them; the slightest mishap would have been a catastrophe!

In the current situation, it's no longer possible to turn things around by sacrificing one or two people. Now we need to see the reaction of the Americans, or rather, the attitude of those old guys like Rockefeller. We also need to consider the counterattack from John, since John has more resources and capabilities than these guys. Even if something goes wrong, it won't affect them!
