Ren Woxing stared solemnly at the vast sky.

Everyone else also looked very solemn.

They were all shrewd people, and they knew that Ren Woxing and Xiang Wentian were testing Yun Changkong's feelings for Ren Yingying, or rather, forcing him to make a choice.

Yun Changkong knew better than anyone that Ren Woxing's arrogance in saying this in front of everyone wasn't about finding a son-in-law, but rather about finding leverage over him. In essence, it was a case of "using the same old tricks."

In the original story, he wanted Linghu Chong to join the Sun Moon Cult. He first tried to lure him with the flaws of the Star Absorbing Skill. When that failed, he threatened to destroy the Huashan Cult. Even though he knew that Ren Yingying was in love with Linghu Chong, he spoke ruthlessly: "If you don't join my Sun Moon Cult, even if my daughter insists on marrying you, I will not teach you the skill. Even if my daughter hates me for the rest of her life, I will not hesitate!"

Therefore, Ren Woxing's sudden death solved a major problem for Linghu Chong.

If Ren Woxing were to survive and be killed with explosives, and Linghu Chong were to then marry Ren Yingying, it would severely damage the protagonist's positive image of loyalty and righteousness. However, if they were not to marry, it would still prevent the lovers from being together, leaving many "glass" broken.

Ren Woxing was exceptionally intelligent and knew that if Yun Changkong had even the slightest affection for Ren Yingying, he would likely be furious, let alone act as her witness at Linghu Chong's wedding. Thus, since someone who seemed indifferent to everything now had something to care about, he devised a plan to keep Yun Changkong in check.

Ren Yingying naturally understood her father's meaning.
Looking at Yun Changkong's radiant appearance, others had only two feelings: one was that he was indifferent, as if his heart was as calm as still water, unmoved; the other was that he harbored anger.

But Ren Yingying's heart was in turmoil, because her contact with Yun Changkong had been going on for a long time, and how could her father's act be kept from him?

Yun Changkong appears gentle on the outside, but he is actually extremely arrogant. Given his personality, he would never do as his father wishes. Fearing that he might say something unacceptable, his expression changed drastically.

In truth, Yun Changkong was only somewhat interested in Ren Yingying; as for romantic feelings, it wasn't like he needed her. After a moment's thought, he said to Ren Woxing, "Alright, I've never been a witness before, I..."

But as he was about to speak, he saw Ren Yingying's two clear, autumn-water-like eyes fixed on him, and his delicate body trembled inwardly.

Yun Changkong suddenly thought, "Ren Woxing and Ren Yingying are both extremely proud. Right now, in front of my subordinates, everyone thinks that I have an ambiguous relationship with his daughter. If I say that, it will definitely make Ren Yingying lose face. With this girl's shy nature, how will she ever be able to face anyone again?"

Unable to bear uttering those final words any longer, he swallowed them back. He then changed the subject, stood up, clasped his hands in a fist and said, “It’s a pity, as the saying goes, a tall tree catches the wind, and a high reputation attracts jealousy. As the daughter of the sect leader, and favored by Dongfang Bubai, Miss Ren wields immense power. In addition, she is beautiful, intelligent, and possesses superb martial arts skills. People admire and respect her like fish crossing a river, but those who truly favor her are few and far between.”

"I am truly flattered and overwhelmed by the favor shown to me by Master Ren and Miss Ren. However, I am too young and inexperienced to officiate at Miss Ren's wedding. Furthermore, Master Ren prioritizes his martial arts career, while I value my affection for this beautiful woman. Our paths diverge, so please forgive me!"

Yun Changkong was always considerate of others, and he also felt guilty about the rumors about Ren Yingying and himself.

After all, in the original storyline, the entire Liu Zhengfeng family and Qu Yang's family were wiped out, a situation both the righteous and demonic factions wanted to see. This proves that the righteous and demonic factions are irreconcilable enemies, and neither should even dream of joining forces.

As a result, by rescuing Liu Zhengfeng and Qu Yang, he not only offended the Songshan Sect but also Yang Lianting's faction of the Demonic Sect, which dragged Ren Yingying into this quagmire. Therefore, out of consideration for Ren Yingying, he spoke much more tactfully.

Hearing this, Ren Yingying breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, "Luckily he wasn't lying, otherwise I wouldn't be able to face anyone in the future."

It should be known that matters between men and women are always contrary to common sense and unbelievable. The reason why Yun Changkong was able to win the favor of the beauty was certainly because of his talent and appearance, but the most important thing was that sense of uncertainty.

This is commonly known as being hung up.

Yun Changkong is always extremely passionate when he is with any woman, but he keeps his distance once they are apart.

This contrast between hot and cold is already extremely influential on a woman's emotions, and his mystery arouses her curiosity, causing her to invest her emotions in him.

Regardless of gender, if someone's emotions change because of another person, that person becomes attractive, and it's only a matter of time before they fall for them.

This attraction is especially fatal for noble women like Zhao Min and Ren Yingying, who are used to seeing men.

This explains why Zhao Min, being a Mongol, was unrestrained by etiquette and was passionate and unrestrained. She would express her thoughts fervently without caring about others' opinions.

Although Ren Yingying was born into the Demonic Sect, she was extremely shy. In the original story, she couldn't even hug Linghu Chong when they were together.

Even more competitive and ambitious, Ren Woxing considered herself Linghu Chong's father-in-law. Because Linghu Chong didn't express any intention to marry her, she brought up the fact that Linghu Chong and Yue Lingshan were childhood sweethearts, and that he had caused a ruckus at Shaolin Temple for her sake, which satisfied him completely, leaving Linghu Chong quite embarrassed.

Yun Changkong was a carefree person, and he felt that flirting with Ren Yingying, who was of noble status, reserved, proud, and extremely shy, was more interesting than getting her directly.

Therefore, he neither said anything intentional nor forced Ren Yingying to confess to him, so that even though the secret could be easily broken, no one took the plunge.

Upon seeing this, Ren Woxing frowned deeply.

It should be noted that Ren Woxing is wise and profound, with an extremely stubborn personality. In the original story, he had a great fondness for Linghu Chong and was determined to win him over. Although this did not go as planned, he would rather fight to the death than change his mind.

Yun Changkong was not only highly skilled in martial arts and had extensive knowledge, but he was also unaffiliated with any sect or faction, so he naturally harbored the idea of recruiting him to his own side.

Therefore, even though she knew that her daughter had an ambiguous relationship with Yun Changkong, she spoke very subtly because of her daughter's proud personality, only mentioning the reason for the rumors in the martial arts world. In this way, she could not hurt her daughter's dignity, and she could also make Yun Changkong feel guilty.

The ultimate goal was to hope that Yun Changkong, out of jealousy towards Linghu Chong, would express his love for his daughter. In that case, Yun Changkong might join the Sun Moon Sect, and he could easily regain his position as sect leader and achieve dominance in the martial arts world.

Unexpectedly, Yun Changkong flattered them, seemingly giving them plenty of face, but on the core issues, he didn't respond to a single one.

Although Ren Woxing was furious, he remained calm and composed. He smiled slightly and said, "Brother Yun is indeed a chivalrous man. It is a rare occasion for us to meet today. I have lived here for twelve years, so I should do my best to be a good host. Bring wine and dishes. I want to have a good drink with Brother Yun."

Yun Changkong clasped his hands in apology and said, "I apologize, but I have other important matters to attend to."

He looked at the Four Friends of Jiangnan and said, "Gentlemen, this matter involves two leaders, which is already a dilemma. You also want to retire from the martial world. The sky is high and the sea is wide, and there are many places where you can be buried. There is no need to stay here at Plum Manor on Lonely Mountain, is there?"

The Four Friends of Jiangnan clasped their hands in unison and said, "Thank you." They then bowed to Ren Woxing and said, "Master Ren, we take our leave!"

Ren Woxing chuckled and waved his hand.

Xiang Wentian said, "Leave the dungeon key behind."

Huang Zhonggong said, "I suppose there's nothing more needed for the Right Envoy."

Xiang Wentian said, "I dare not trouble you."

He had already investigated the matter at Plum Manor thoroughly before searching for the items and devising a clever plan. The four friends from Jiangnan each took out a key, placed it on the table, and left the hall.

Yun Changkong clasped his hands in a fist salute to Ren Woxing and said, "Master Ren, this matter is of great importance, I shall take my leave!" He smiled slightly at Ren Yingying and turned to leave.

Ren Woxing watched his figure disappear before whispering, "Yingying, did you see that? That person is so arrogant and overbearing. Such a person is like water without roots; you can't hold onto him! You can give up now. Go and ask Brother Xiang to release Linghu Chong."

Ren Yingying glanced at her father, smiled sadly, and said softly, "Father, thank you for thinking of your daughter even at this time."

"What are you saying?" Ren Woxing sneered, "You are my daughter. I only hate that this boy doesn't care about you at all. He's just toying with you!"

Ren Yingying's face showed a blank expression.

Xiang Wentian glanced at Ren Yingying, his face flushed with shame, and knelt on the ground, saying, "This subordinate is incompetent and is willing to accept punishment." He knew that today's events had caused Ren Xing and his daughter to lose face, so he immediately offered a way out.

Ren Woxing shook his head and said, "Get up. It's not your fault. Yun Changkong's reaction was completely unexpected. He's not like a man at all. Hearing that my daughter is going to marry someone else, he was completely unmoved. It's outrageous!"

He knew that if Yun Changkong had feelings for Ren Yingying, he should feel a pang of jealousy and resentment upon learning that he was going to marry his daughter to Linghu Chong, but he saw not a trace of it on Yun Changkong's face.

Little did people know that when Yun Changkong heard that Zhao Min had married someone else, he did not make any statement.

In Yun Changkong's mind, he was not afraid of losing anything, including his own life; everything was left to fate!
As for women, whether he loses them or has them taken away, he will never think it's his fault. He will feel that if a woman can be taken away or lost, it only means that she didn't belong to him, that they weren't meant to be, so what's the big deal?
After all, he had never even tried to reach out to the woman in yellow who was within his reach, so he would be even less likely to pay attention to Ren Woxing's methods, unless he didn't want to hurt Ren Yingying's feelings too much.

He's capable of anything: if you dare to marry off your daughter, I dare to officiate the wedding!

You think you can blackmail me? No way!

Trying to blackmail them is unacceptable!
Ren Woxing and his group had their own plan.

As night fell and the moon rose in the east, the Four Friends of Jiangnan, carrying their prized possessions, also left Plum Manor.

Dan Qingsheng said, "Brother Yun, the leader of the Ren Cult is arrogant and domineering. He used his daughter to coerce you, and you have embarrassed him. I'm afraid that in the future..."

Yun Changkong smiled bitterly, "There's nothing we can do about it!" He paused, clasped his hands in a salute, and said solemnly, "From now on, you will be enjoying yourselves in the mountains and rivers. Perhaps we will never meet again. Take care, everyone."

"The Fourth Master of the Manor treats me as a friend, and I knew Xiang Wentian's intentions, yet I refused to let me duel Linghu Chong, which caused Ren Woxing to escape and abandon the precious Plum Manor. Please forgive me!"

Dan Qingsheng was originally dissatisfied with this matter, feeling that Yun Changkong was not a good brother.

Huang Zhonggong knew that Yun Changkong was arrogant and naturally unwilling to owe anyone favors. He was also in a dilemma because of the rumors with Ren Yingying. Therefore, he had no choice but to help Ren Woxing to repay the favor.

He could have saved them but didn't, showing some affection for them. Today, he even stood up to Ren Woxing several times because of them. He clasped his hands in a fist and said, "If it weren't for you, the four of us brothers would not have escaped this calamity. What are worldly possessions worth? I'll take my leave now."

The other three also clasped their hands in a gesture of respect.

Yun Changkong clasped his hands in a fist and said, "Have a safe journey."

The group of men were all chivalrous heroes of the martial world. They strode away, but Huang Zhonggong took a few steps, then stopped. He turned back, opened his mouth as if to speak, but then thought that with Yun Changkong's magnanimity, he could take even the biggest problems in stride. So he turned and left.

Yun Changkong followed them all the way to the Qiantang River. He watched as they boarded a boat and sailed downstream. He thought to himself, "Is the only outcome of venturing into the world either death or reclusion in the lakes and seas?"

After thinking it over, he felt that this was the case.

Those with superb martial arts skills, renowned chivalry, and upright character, such as Qiao Feng and Guo Jing, are like this; those with immense power, awe-inspiring reputation, and ruthless methods, such as Dongfang Bubai, Zuo Lengchan, and Ren Wo Xingzhe, are also like this.

So where is he now? The desire to simply enjoy the company of beautiful women is simple and straightforward. But a sense of loneliness arises spontaneously, and he can't help but look up at the sky, murmuring, "Can I ever go back? Will I ever see Zhao Min and the others again? Where is my future?"

Yun Changkong longed to return to the world of Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber, even if he couldn't see Zhao Min and the others, just seeing this scene of stars filling the sky would be enough.

At least it would have made me understand that I shared the same sky with them. But what about now?
Yun Changkong stood silently for a while, then suddenly swung his palm, cleaving a willow tree beside him in two. As the broken branches were swept into the surging river, he laughed loudly: "I've lived in this humble abode for decades, my hair disheveled, wandering like a madman. Beneath the Begonia Pavilion, I am Chongyangzi; in the lotus-leaf boat, I am Taiyi Xian. Nothing can leave this empty shell; can anyone understand what I was before birth? Stepping out, I laugh without restraint; clouds are in West Lake, the moon is in the sky!" As he recited the poem, he strolled leisurely like a tourist on a spring outing towards the inn where Yilin was staying.

He felt that rescuing Yilin from her suffering at this moment would be a very meaningful thing, much more interesting than being with Ren Yingying.

After all, the monk Bujie was a much easier father-in-law to deal with than Ren Woxing.

When Yun Changkong arrived at the inn's courtyard, the room was completely dark. He thought to himself, "Could it be that this girl is already asleep?"

Suddenly, a long, leisurely sigh came from inside the room.
Yun Changkong's mind raced, and he coughed. He heard a low growl from inside the room: "Who's there?" A sharp sound followed, clearly indicating a sword had been drawn.

Yun Changkong smiled slightly and said, "It's me!"

Yilin asked crisply, "What are you doing out there in the middle of the night?"

Yun Changkong smiled and said, "It was wrong of me to disturb your peaceful sleep, but a day apart feels like three autumns. I wanted to hear your voice." The room was silent for a while, then the window creaked open, revealing a beautiful face. It was Yilin, holding a long sword, looking even more serious.

Seeing that Yun Changkong also looked solemn as he stood outside the window, she whispered, "Come in quickly, don't let anyone hear us."

Yilin knew that Yun Changkong was lawless and would spread rumors outside, which would bring shame upon her and the Hengshan Sect. As for what might happen if this person came in, she didn't think about it.

Because of Yun Changkong's perception of her, although he was ruthless, he was also a hero in her eyes, so he was naturally a great gentleman.

Yun Changkong smiled slightly, and with a leap, jumped through the window.

Yilin hurriedly closed the window, sheathed her sword, and said coldly, "Young Master Yun, I am a nun, you must not say such things to me."

Yun Changkong chuckled inwardly and sighed, "When I saw you, my thoughts were truly unrestrained, and I was unaware of my rudeness. Please forgive me, young lady."

Yilin's face flushed slightly, and she parted her lips to say, "I am a nun, so I cannot call you 'Miss'."

With a "whoosh," Yun Changkong lit a tinderbox and lit the candle.

Yilin continued, “I wholeheartedly serve the Buddha. Your constant behavior is disrespectful to the Buddha and will bring karmic retribution.”

Yun Changkong sat down at the table and said, "Yes, you are a monk. If I keep bothering you, I will suffer karmic retribution. That's true."

He paused deliberately, then continued, "However, I also wonder if the Buddhist and Taoist saying of 'seeing through the illusions of the world and calming the mind' is just nonsense?"

Yilin's chest tightened, and her lips trembled as she said, "How dare you disrespect Buddha?"

Yun Changkong said calmly, "Although I am arrogant, I would not dare to be so presumptuous as to slander the Buddha."

But do you think about it? If everyone were to see through the illusions of the world and have no desires for men and women, would there still be people in this world?

Of course, Buddhism teaches the equality of all beings. Bodhisattvas, mortals, cattle, sheep, dogs—all are sentient beings; there is no inherent hierarchy among them.

Yilin put her palms together and said, "Amitabha, what you say is true."

Yun Changkong found out: "But even cattle and horses have the desire to reproduce, don't they?"
We are human beings, after all. Think about it: even though you have entered the Buddhist order, can you truly achieve a state of perfect tranquility?
It's really just a matter of forcibly suppressing one's emotions, preventing them from overflowing. Even things like how you came to be—wasn't your mother a nun in the past?

Yilin's heart pounded, and she lowered her head. After a long while, she finally said, "My mother is my mother, and I am me."

Yun Changkong nodded and said, "That's good. Your mother met your father and was moved by his sincerity, which is how you came to be."

And you, because you met Linghu Chong, your heart fluttered, did you also have the idea of returning to secular life?
If Linghu Chong were willing to marry you, would you be willing?

Yilin lowered her head and looked at the ground, stammering, "This...this is wrong, my mother..."

She felt that her mother leaving her might be Buddha's punishment.

Yun Changkong shook his head and said, "There's nothing wrong with that. Whether one becomes a monk or a layperson, it's all about cultivating the mind and pursuing one's true nature."

This thing, though it sounds mysterious and profound, is actually about respecting people's inner pursuit of emotions and life, and allowing people to find happiness from within. After all, what's wrong with the seven emotions and six desires that people are supposed to reject?

For example, those scholars who revere Confucianism and Mencius' teachings, instilling in people loyalty, filial piety, integrity, and righteousness, yet the world is filled with scholars who are wicked and immoral. If Confucius knew this in the afterlife, he could only feel sorrow and regret.

Yilin said quietly, "Don't you even respect Confucius?"

Yun Changkong laughed and said, "Let's not talk about that old fellow. Look at you women. You clearly like someone, but you always keep it to yourself and dare not say it. How can you be happy? To be honest, you are much better than that Holy Maiden of the Demonic Sect!"

Yilin whispered, "I heard that you and that Holy Maiden are also in love?"

"No way!" Yun Changkong shook his head and said, "This is just hearsay. Besides, what do you mean by this? Who else could it be?"

Yilin said softly, "And Brother Linghu too."

Yun Changkong said, "Let's not talk about this issue anymore, it has nothing to do with us. What I'm saying is that since you care about Linghu Chong and want to be his wife, there's nothing wrong with that. To be precise, it's not wrong for you to want to be anyone's wife, not just Linghu Chong. Even Tian Boguang, as long as you're willing, you can be his wife, and no one will say you're wrong!"

Yilin smiled and said, "You killed Tian Boguang."

Yun Changkong was surprised to see that she was joking with him now.
She and Yun Changkong both seemed quite melancholic, as if unaware of the joys of life. Although different from Ren Yingying's aloofness and arrogance, they were equally unapproachable.
The smile she was giving now came from the depths of her heart, so naturally that she didn't even realize it herself. The more outstanding she became, the more beautiful she looked.

While enjoying the beautiful sight, Yun Changkong couldn't help but think to himself, "Yes, this girl who should be smiling all day long has been made me depressed by this brat Linghu Chong!"

Yun Changkong thought for a moment, but felt it was extremely cruel to let such a beautiful woman sit alone on the lotus platform. He said softly, "Actually, I am no different from Tian Boguang."

Yilin exclaimed in surprise, "Ah?" Then she quickly shook her head and said, "No, no, you're not like him!"

Yun Changkong laughed and said, "I'm trying to reason with you."

"I'm a man like Tian Boguang, and I also like beautiful women. But if you really become Tian Boguang's wife, I'll kill him again, even more ruthlessly than I did in Hengyang!"

Yilin asked in surprise, "Why? Didn't you say the person was innocent?"

Yun Changkong said, "That's right, but what am I supposed to do if you become his wife? To win the beauty's heart, I have no choice but to kill him!"

Yilin scolded, "Don't talk nonsense." Suddenly her expression turned serious, and she said, "Young Master Yun, although my father and mother had me." She couldn't help but chuckle again, then quickly added solemnly, "But she is her, and I am me. You are not allowed to joke about this fact with me!"

"You've wronged me!" Yun Changkong paused, then sighed dejectedly, "Sister, I'm saying all this in the hope that you can open your heart, respect your inner self, and not think that just because you're a nun, liking someone is a sin. Alas, who knew you would think this way!" With that, he got up and was about to open the door.

Yilin said, "Young Master Yun, thank you so much. I haven't been this happy in a long time."

Yun Changkong was overjoyed. He turned around and saw Yilin's beautiful face beaming with a joyful smile, her eyes sparkling with excitement. As the saying goes, a beauty is more beautiful the more you look at her under the lamp.

Yilin's beauty was already no less than Ren Yingying's, and at this moment she appeared even more stunning. Moved by her beauty, she blurted out, "If I can make you happy, I feel that everything I've done is meaningful, and my life's value has been fulfilled!"

Yilin was taken aback, her heart filled with panic, and she said, "Young Master Yun, actually, I am very grateful for your kindness to me, but in this life, I am not fortunate enough to have such a blessing. There are plenty of good girls in the world, and with your talent, you can easily find someone a hundred times better than me!"

Yun Changkong shook his head and said, "Yilin, to be honest, from the first moment I saw you, I wanted you to be my wife, but you are a nun and your devotion to Buddhism is very strong, so I couldn't be too forward."

But seeing how thin you've become because of that brat Linghu Chong fills me with both heartache and resentment.

Upon hearing this, Yilin was struck as if by lightning. After a long while, she said, "Since you know that I am fond of Brother Linghu, why do you still care about me?"

Yun Changkong said with a wry smile, "Linghu Chong is such a lucky guy to have won the favor of a girl, but he doesn't know what's good for him. He treats his junior sister like a treasure, and now he's fallen for the Holy Maiden of the Demonic Sect. Humph, this kid is blind and doesn't deserve to be mentioned."

Of course, you can use the excuse that you have someone you like to reject me, but am I such a worldly person?

I will show you with my actions that even if you marry him, you will still be a pure and beautiful celestial being in my heart, regardless of whether you like him or not!

Upon hearing this, Yilin was deeply moved.
She lowered her head, her fingers intertwined, and the veins on her palms were visible from the force she used.

The lights flickered, and Yilin's heart pounded. She could feel the adoring gaze in Yun Changkong's eyes.

You should know that she and Linghu Chong had gone through life and death together, and she had already developed a very deep impression of him in her heart.

However, after seeing Yun Changkong, she felt that being with Yun Changkong made her feel that even if the sky were to fall, there was no need to be afraid!

Therefore, she felt troubled and conflicted, which is why she couldn't sleep all night.

Yun Changkong gazed at Yilin, his mind racing.

Having been through many romantic encounters, he knew that Yilin might not be indifferent to him. After all, even the experienced and reserved Ren Yingying couldn't resist, so how much resistance could this naive young nun possibly have?

Yun Changkong may not be particularly interested in obtaining a woman's tender body, but he thoroughly enjoys the process of flirting with women. Therefore, he uses different methods to deal with different women.

For example, his methods of dealing with Yilin and Ren Yingying were extremely different.

Yun Changkong looked extremely disappointed and said, "Yilin, I know you have many concerns because of your mother and father."

But I promise you, I will definitely let you see your mother, and let you understand that Buddha is compassionate, and he also wants lovers to be together in the end.

He knew that Yilin was somewhat afraid because of her status as a Buddhist disciple. Therefore, he had to let her know that Buddha wouldn't blame her in order for things to go forward.

Unlocking a woman's defenses layer by layer was more exciting and novel to Yun Changkong than undressing her piece by piece.

Yilin gave a bitter smile and said, "Young Master Yun, the truth is, my father made my parents' story sound so wonderful, but what was the result?"
My mother has probably been dead for over ten years. Perhaps this is retribution for her betrayal of Buddha. My mind is in turmoil right now. Please stop talking, okay?

Yun Changkong laughed and said, "Alright, don't feel guilty. Your mother and father will definitely not be punished. They will be reunited one day. If you can't accept me, it's just that I'm not fortunate enough. It has nothing to do with anything else. Sigh..." He shook his head as he spoke.

Yun Changkong knew that Yilin's mother was a mute old woman in the Hengshan Sect, and she met with Yilin from time to time. However, he was unwilling to reveal this before winning her over, lest she feel grateful.

Pure admiration is something he can enjoy, but if other factors are mixed in, he won't care about it anymore.

For example, with Ren Yingying, he was unwilling to take the initiative to break the ice, largely because he was unwilling to face Ren Woxing, his "father-in-law".

Yilin had no idea what he was thinking, but seeing his dejected look, she felt a pang of heartache and wanted to say a few words of comfort. However, she felt a little embarrassed and lowered her head without saying a word.

Yun Changkong sighed, turned around, and slowly walked to the window. He opened the window and was about to jump out when he suddenly turned back and said in a low voice, "Yilin, it's my bad luck that I'm your lover. I accept it. So, can you call me 'Big Brother'?"

Upon hearing this, Yilin felt that calling him "Big Brother" was perfectly acceptable, and blurted out, "Big Brother Yun."

Yun Changkong was overjoyed: "If he calls me 'Big Brother,' then calling me 'Sweetheart Brother' won't be far behind." He said, "Alright, call me that again."

For some reason, Yilin blushed and stammered, "Big...Big Brother."

Yun Changkong laughed heartily and said, "Look at you, calling me 'Big Brother,' what's there to be ashamed of?"

Upon hearing this, Yilin blushed even more and lowered her head even further. Yun Changkong looked at her and saw that her ears and the back of her neck were red, which made him even more excited. He said, "Sister Yilin, I haven't eaten anything all night. Could you cook me a bowl of noodles?"

Before Yilin could react, a sharp "whoosh" sounded, and a gust of wind pierced through the window, heading straight for Yun Changkong's face. (End of Chapter)
