Ramjet missiles also have many drawbacks!
First, ramjet engines require air intakes.

Solid-fuel missiles contain both fuel and oxidizer within the solid fuel, eliminating the need for external power during flight.

The word "ramjet" in ramjet engine refers to the fact that outside air enters the engine without compression; it is compressed by ramming! In other words, it needs to draw in outside air!

This requires an air intake. Modern ramjet engines typically use rectangular air intakes, and often two are needed to meet the air intake requirements.

Third, ramjet engines cannot operate at high speeds.
