Cyberpunk: From Dogville to Legend

Let me post a separate chapter about Chapter 39.

Let me post a separate chapter about Chapter 39.

I was busy with work and submitting materials today when I saw a new reader's comment about the male protagonist holding back against Mann's squad.

The problem is probably that the male protagonist's poor writing skills led to him being somewhat "compassionate".

So I went back and carefully considered the male protagonist's mindset:
Suppose I were transported to the game world, and I know the touching stories of Mann and his friends, how would I handle this situation?

Fortunately, Hans's mission was to persuade the squad to retreat. Lin Yue also knew that the squad was there to deal with him. This sniper rifle was the distance he needed to maintain, to keep the situation from becoming a life-or-death struggle.

But that wasn't enough, so I re-portrayed the male protagonist's inner thoughts.

This seems to be a bit smoother.

At the beginning of this article, what I actually wanted to express was that the male protagonist did not realize that this was a man-eating Night City; his player mentality played a large part in it.

It wasn't until Mr. Hans sold him out that he realized the scenario of using himself as a game character V to negotiate commissions with various intermediaries was nonexistent. He was sold off like a dispensable pawn, and the protagonist woke up with a broken arm.

The retaliation then began.

Regarding this point, I looked through hundreds of book reviews, and less than ten of them mentioned this situation. Logically, I should have ignored it, or at least felt that my writing was fine. But in the end, I couldn't convince myself otherwise. I write books because I want to write what people enjoy reading and what I find comfortable.

Every reader has a different personality. Some readers like a decisive and ruthless male protagonist, while others think it's understandable to hold back against the Mann squad. After all, there are rewards on the character panel, and the male protagonist has memories of his past life, so holding back is reasonable.

But I wanted to take a shortcut, to grasp that critical point, to express that everyone knows that if they continue to provoke the male lead, he will not show mercy, while at the same time he also sympathizes with this legendary team and cannot bear to kill them. Thus, the two modified [reset chapters] were born.

I don't actually have any special talent; I just enjoy playing Cyberpunk 2077 and writing novels.

I can't match the skill of the master writer, but all I can do is reflect on myself and focus on writing this book well.

That's all I have to say. I hope those who felt uncomfortable with that point can go back and take a look, and offer their opinions. As long as the outline remains unchanged, I'd prefer to grow alongside the male protagonist, Lin Yue, in the novel.

The chapter drafts are posted regularly, at 7:00 PM every night. Please read on!

Wishing you a smooth and happy life.
