Chapter 32 The Appreciation of a Technical Expert [Please Read Further]
"Wuhu!"
Rebecca fired and detonated the last landmine. With the sound of the fuse triggering and breaking, the entire Vortex Gang defending the area was now wiped out.
"Lin Yue, Mann? What are you two dawdling about? The Vortex Gang will be on our heels soon!"
Dorio's voice sounded anxious on the phone. Lin Yue and Rebecca each searched the passageway on one side. Suddenly, a drone appeared on the way, and Rebecca fired several shots from her shotgun, which turned into shreds with the clicking sound of reloading.
"You're welcome."
Rebecca, carrying a gun, walked to the room at the end of the corridor under Lin Yue's speechless gaze.
Lin Yue pried open the door a crack with his bare hands, and the prosthetic body emitted a hissing sound—
If only I had a gorilla's arm.
"Rebecca, come help!"
The two of them pulled on the door, and with all their might, they finally managed to open it.
Just as they burst inside, a trembling voice rang out:
"Don't shoot!"
The man hiding behind the table shouted, and Lin Yue walked over and picked him up like a chick.
"Mann! We've found him, and he's all right."
Rebecca, carrying a gun, followed behind Lin Yue and reported to Mann. The cargo in front of them, who had wet himself in fear, was dragged by Lin Yue all the way to the door.
A van swerved to the front of the gate. Dorio, with one hand on the steering wheel, shouted, "Let's go!"
The van rattled as it sped down the hills of Dogtown, accompanied by the angry shouts and curses of the Vortex Gang behind it, bullets whizzing past my face!
Dorothy floored the accelerator. "Mann, is your car fixed yet? This piece of junk needs repairs every day. Can't you get a decent one?"
"Just make do with it, buying a car is damn expensive." Mann looked distressed.
As Rebecca fired her gun, she asked, "Want to go to the 'Heart-wrenching' club tonight?"
Lin Yue grimaced as he pulled bullets out of his facial skin. "No, I need to go to the prosthetic doctor to fix my prosthetic body."
As he spoke, he spat out some remaining bits of toothpaste and blood from his mouth.
Dorio glanced at the rearview mirror. "With such a severe gunshot wound, what kind of prosthetic device are you wearing? How can you still be jumping around like this?"
Lin Yue's heart tightened.
Mann then turned to look at Lin Yue and said, "Remember to see the dentist!"
The people in the car forgot about that incident and burst into laughter. Only the guy who had been rescued huddled in a corner, his head in his hands, his eyes filled with fear.
Damn it, are these people here legitimately?
Everyone was waiting to see how much they would be paid after delivering the person to the destination, but Pila stared intently at a briefcase he had looted from the Vortex Gang's hideout.
"I'm rich!"
Pila, with a cigarette between his fingers, let out a strange cry.
Seeing that the Whirlpool Gang members behind them had been left behind, Rebecca squeezed her face against Lin Yue's and moved closer to her brother.
Lin Yue's face was distorted by Rebecca's chest, and with the pain from his wound, tears welled up in his eyes. "Girl, your bone is poking me!"
It doesn't feel soft and fluffy at all; this is really not okay.
Rebecca felt that Lin Yue had attacked her body, so she slammed her fist down on Lin Yue's head.
A prosthetic body lay quietly in the box in Pila's hand. Lin Yue turned his head and found that the thing looked very familiar.
"Accessory heart?"
Pila chuckled and raised his long index finger.
"No, no, you idiot, this is the most important thing."
Following Pila's guidance, a chip was quietly placed next to the accessory heart.
"Put it in and see." Pila picked up the chip and handed it to Lin Yue.
I find Lin Yue pleasing to the eye today, so I'll teach this kid a lesson!
Lin Yue pushed away Rebecca, who was clamoring to see the chip, and inserted it into the interface behind his neck. A blueprint appeared in Lin Yue's prosthetic eye.
"【Production Guidelines】(Note)?"
Lin Yue muttered to himself.
Pila was stunned.
Rebecca's expression was priceless. "Brother, it seems like other people can understand your good stuff."
That's right, the chip Pila gave herself contained the manufacturing specifications for two weapon plugins, it seems to be—
Eh?
Lin Yue's expression changed, and Pila immediately sensed that something was wrong.
"Damn it! You little bastard, pull the chip out of my hands!" Lin Yue reached out to stop Pila from grabbing the chip. Wasn't this the two plugins needed for the technical sniper rifle?
[Opening the wall and disemboweling] (Note), [Hungry ghost] (Note)...
Allows weapons to charge twice as fast in the same amount of time, eliminates wall penetration attenuation, and even allows the Demon Scope to power weapons and reduce the Nekomata's charging time?!
Pira finally understood what it meant to go and never return.
Lin Yue has clearly started copying; he probably wants to use the manufacturing standards to create his own things.
After copying the chip, Lin Yue took it out and said, "Here you go, you're so stingy."
Rebecca burst into laughter, "Oh no, oh no, the miser's going to have to go back to his bed and cry!"
Pila shook his head. "How do you know this thing is manufactured according to standards? Even laymen can't understand this stuff. How come you, an idiot, can do everything right?"
"What a fucking freak."
Lin Yue crossed his arms. There was no way the prosthetic body could be shared among the others, so he could only give it to Pila. Apart from Pila, no one else was interested in the manufacturing specifications. Only he had kept a close eye on things and knew that Pila had gotten his hands on this kind of thing.
At that moment, a weak voice came.
That thing... is mine.
Pila grabbed the man by the collar. "Is it yours?"
"Yes...uh, no."
"That settles it." Pila, a cyberpunk enthusiast accustomed to the wild, never spits out a piece of meat that's already in her mouth.
"Hey kid, I'm just looking into these production standards. How about you learn from me? I guarantee you won't regret it; my skills are top-notch."
Pila extended a warm invitation.
Lin Yue nodded without hesitation, "No problem, thank you!"
Pira's face froze.
"Huh? Aren't you going to do something?"
Lin Yue looked completely innocent. "Oh! I'll treat you to a fantastic Mewtwo later, how about that? The really exciting kind."
Unwilling to give up, Pila yelled, "You son of a bitch, this stuff costs money! I got it! Damn it!"
Mann and Dorio exchanged a glance and shook their heads helplessly.
This is the third time I've been entrusted with this task.
The team became more stable through the process of adjustment, and more than half a month had passed since the first mission.
These guys were doing really well in Dogtown.
The van pulled up to a ditch not far from the EBM Petrochemical Stadium. Rebecca kicked the man out of the van, and he sat on his back on the ground, cursing loudly that these idiots hadn't given him any human rights.
Lin Yue looked at the prepayment the client had given him in his account. The way he had been gathering intelligence recently was through his conversations with V, who had put him in a fixed contact position.
The cost is quite high.
After all, the information experts from gangs don't charge low prices.
After deducting costs and the team's salaries, Lin Yue only had 30,000 euros left.
Lin Yue looked out the window, his eyes lighting up.
Rebecca exclaimed in surprise, "Damn, this order is worth 15,000!"
Lin Yue was patted on the shoulder by Rebecca. "Your boss is something else. You can't get this much for this kind of work in the city."
Pila and Rebecca were overjoyed.
Mann and Dorio seemed to have something on their minds.
Mann was silent for a moment, then asked, "Lin Yue...would your boss make us work for Arakawa?"
This meticulous and shrewd man discovered the unusual connection between Lin Yue's boss and Arasaka on their very first meeting.
Naturally wary cyberpunks don't want to have anything to do with the company.
Lin Yue gazed out the window at the dilapidated Dogtown, the sounds of Rebecca and Pila bickering filling his ears.
After a long pause, Lin Yue replied sullenly with two words:
"will not."
He had already discussed this with V:
That's something Rin has to do, not them.

【Crafting Specifications】: Blueprints used in the game 2077 to create weapons, plugins, supplies, and other items.
【Demon】: The scope of the technical sniper rifle can stabilize the trajectory of bullets, and its built-in battery can power the sniper rifle, thereby reducing the charging time required.
[Break Through Walls]: Technical sniper rifles experience a decrease in penetration when penetrating cover. The Break Through Walls plugin will increase the weapon's power and charge it to 200% for the same time as the previous 100% charge.
Thanks to the silly undead ghost for the 500 coins! Thank you!
