Chapter 367 Shenxiao
"Where did this beggar come from? Are you looking for death?!"

Chen Lingguan grabbed the person who had knelt down and was hugging Xie Lingxin's leg.

The man was disheveled and covered in filth.

He looks like a beggar.

I haven't even managed to get on your good side yet, and you, a beggar, have already done so?
Chen Lingguan threw the "beggar" away.

Although he didn't kill him, he did use some force, and the "beggar" fell to the ground with a thud, quite badly hurt.

Ignoring the pain at all, he rolled over and scrambled over again.

"Divine Firmament Emperor! This disciple pays respects to the Divine Firmament Emperor!"

"Your Majesty, have mercy and save the Divine Firmament Sect!"

Shenxiao Emperor?

Everyone heard it clearly at this point.

They all turned to look at Xie Lingxin.

What Shenxiao Emperor?
Could it be that you have an identity we don't know about?

Only Chen Lingguan was still obsessed with currying favor with powerful figures.

"Hey! I have such a bad temper!"

I just wanted to stick my foot out and kick it out.

Xie Lingxin slapped him so hard he spun around a few times.

He was both stunned and furious after being hit: "Xie Lingxin! I was just trying to help you, why did you hit me!"

Xie Lingxin didn't even bother with him, and tilted her head at Hu Buxiao and the others: "Take them away."

Hu Buxiao and Zhao Jianshen each grabbed one of him and dragged him to one side.

Xie Lingxin sized up the man.

Although it was dirty and messy, you could tell that the person was wearing a Taoist robe.

He kept kowtowing to Xie Lingxin, repeating the same few words "Divine Emperor Shenxiao" over and over again.

"Why do you call me the Divine Firmament Emperor?"

"Disciple pays respects to the Divine Firmament Emperor!"

"I beg Your Majesty for mercy! I beg Your Majesty for mercy!"

He ignored Xie Lingxin's words and just kept bowing.

Xie Lingxin noticed that his eyes were dull and unfocused.

They might not even be worshipping him.

Everyone else noticed it too.

This person is not mentally stable.

The phrase "Divine Emperor of the Divine Firmament" should not be taken literally.

Xie Lingxin squatted down in front of him: "Hey, can you understand me?"

"Greetings, Your Majesty! Greetings, Your Majesty! May Your Majesty have mercy on us!"

"You don't need to waste your energy."

At that moment, a passerby stopped.

"He was a Taoist priest from Shenxiao Palace. A few days ago, Shenxiao Palace was sealed off by the government, and the Taoist priests inside were either arrested or killed."

"The Shenxiao Dao is finished. The government has already decided to abolish it. Although it has not been completely abolished, it has already taken back most of the Daoist registers and certificates."

A passerby pointed at the beggar and said, "He is a Taoist priest from Shenxiao Palace, but he is just a novice. Because he does not yet have a Taoist certificate, he is not a real Taoist priest, which is why he escaped this calamity."

“After the Shenxiao Palace was sealed off, he wandered the streets and has been like this ever since. He would bow to anyone he met, but nothing he said made a difference.”

"The Divine Firmament Palace was once extremely prosperous, and the Taoist priests inside were all like immortals. Who could have imagined it would be like this today?"

"Although those gods and Taoist priests may have some bad habits, the Divine Firmament Palace is still quite compassionate towards the people's suffering, often providing relief and assistance, and slaying demons and monsters,"

"Now, everyone remembers the good times. Some people on the street see him as pitiful and often help him out, so he doesn't starve."

"You don't need to pay any attention to him, just let him be."

After saying that, the passerby shook his head and walked away with a sigh.

Hu Duo frowned in disgust: "So he's a madman, you little rascal. Let's go, why bother with him?"

"I knew it! This guy's a crazy beggar! Xie Lingxin, you even hit me!"

Chen Lingguan, who had been dragged aside by Hu Buxiao and the other man, was dangling from the air, struggling and cursing incessantly.

Hu Buxiao and the others frowned slightly.

Perhaps because Nanhe Wudang also originated from the Taoist lineage, seeing the Taoists in this state evoked a sense of unease.

"Brother Xie, is there something you want to ask him? Perhaps I can help."

Leng Qingci said softly.

Hu Duo's thin eyebrows stood up.

I told you to stay away from him, and you insist on saying this now. Aren't you just making it clear that you're going against me?
Xie Lingxin asked in surprise, "You can bring him back to his senses?"

Leng Qingci nodded gently: "I can give it a try."

"Alright, alright... never mind, let's take him away first, it's not convenient here."

Xie Lingxin said happily.

Leng Qingci glanced at Hu Duo, seemingly unintentionally, and smiled gently.

Hu Duo felt a wave of malice coming at her.

Little bitch!
Are you hungry? Why don't you come eat with us?

Xie Lingxin helped the Taoist priest up and tempted him.

"Thank you for your mercy, Your Majesty! Thank you for your mercy, Your Majesty!"

The Taoist priest kowtowed repeatedly, offering no resistance and allowing himself to be lifted up.

We found a hotel nearby.

"Young Marshal, that woman looks gentle and weak, but she's not so easy to deal with. You have to be careful, or she might outshine you if you're not careful."

The younger sister of the guard siblings leaned closer and looked ahead.

"Nonsense! Why would I be afraid of her?"

Hu Duo instinctively retorted, but then quickly came to her senses and angrily said, "What nonsense are you talking about! Why would I compare myself to this little bitch?!"

"Tiger Tassel! I think you've been asking for a beating lately. If this were the army, I'd give you a piece of my mind with military discipline! Humph!"

He cursed and left in a huff.

Hu Ying pouted and muttered, "They're already calling her a little bitch, aren't they already competing?"

"I advise you to mind your own business..." Tiger Crown, the bodyguard, walked up to him and said speechlessly.

Hu Ying gritted her teeth and said, "Wasn't I thinking of the young marshal? That guy surnamed Leng is obviously a hypocrite, and the young marshal may seem sharp and incisive, but he's only good at fighting and killing."

"She's a fool when it comes to this kind of thing."

Then, somewhat disgruntled, he said, "I find it strange that the young marshal of the Hu family has seen so many people."

"I've heard that this guy surnamed Xie is indeed quite capable and deserves the title of a prodigy."

"But let alone our Tiger Clan's Hundred Soldiers, even among the proud and fierce generals under the Hundred Soldiers, which one is inferior to him? Not to mention the other aristocratic families."

"The so-called prodigies are not far off, if not roadside weeds. How many have the young marshal seen? He has never seen her give him a kind look. Why is she so special to this Xie fellow?"

“Under normal circumstances, anyone who dared to speak to the young marshal like that would have been chopped into a hundred pieces long ago.”

Tiger Crown said, "These things are hard to say. It's like a turtle looking at a green bean. What do you know?"

"Fine, you're saying the young marshal is a bastard? I'm going to tell her!"

"Hey, you even want to kill your own brother?"

"Hmph! Military law is merciless!"

……

In the inn.

"He suffered a tragedy, sustained severe emotional trauma, and his mental health was impaired,"

Leng Qingci's two delicate hands emitted a hazy blue light, which fell upon the mad Taoist priest and enveloped him.

After a while, he withdrew his hands.

“I have used my spiritual power to help him recover. Although I cannot fully restore him, he should be able to speak to people now.”

Xie Lingxin was pondering this with curiosity.

Although Leng Qingci's current cultivation level is far inferior to his, her use of mental power is much more delicate and exquisite.

This is also his weakness.

The cultivation progress is too fast, and there is not enough time to accumulate many things.

However, by observing Leng Qingci's actions, he was able to figure out some things.

It seems he can do it, and even do it better.

For example, the reversed six-syllable mantra of the Great Bright Mind Seal...

If he reverses it again... becoming the Reverse Six-Syllable Great Bright Heart Seal, it seems to have the power to heal people's hearts.

Wait a minute, the reverse six characters... isn't that the Six-Character Great Bright Mind Seal?
Om mani padme hum!

This is the fundamental mantra of Avalokiteshvara, and is regarded as the subtle essence of Avalokiteshvara's mind.

Whether it's these six characters or Guanyin, they all have quite a significant background.

Buddhist scriptures say that when the Buddha was alive, there was a Bodhisattva named "Shutter of Obstacles," who was one of the eight great Bodhisattvas.

He had earnestly requested the Buddha to teach him the Six-Syllable Mantra, and the Buddha said that he had learned this mantra from an ancient Buddha in a past life.

The ancient Buddha, having traveled through countless worlds, failed to learn this mantra and thus went to the Western Pure Land to meet Amitabha Buddha. Amitabha Buddha then asked Avalokiteshvara to teach him this mantra.

At that time, the earth shook violently, and the sky rained down precious treasures, manifesting various divine transformations and auspicious signs.

After the ancient Buddha received the mantra, he universally saved countless sentient beings.

In his past lives, before he attained Buddhahood, Shakyamuni Buddha received this mantra from an ancient Buddha, and after he attained Buddhahood, he also received this mantra many times.

This shows that the origin of this mantra's heart seal is extremely significant.

The Bodhisattva Guanyin is not as simple as depicted in many novels, who is merely a disciple or subordinate of the Buddha.

He is a Bodhisattva, but only because he does not want to become a Buddha, not because he is unable to become a Buddha.

Even among Buddhas, few can compare to him.

Therefore, the word "great" is often added before His status.

The greatest and most supreme.

Great Bodhisattva!
Reverse Six-Syllable Great Bright Mind Seal, Six-Syllable Great Bright Mind Seal, Pure Vase of Nectar...

The more Xie Lingxin pondered, the more she felt she had gained something, and she became lost in thought for a moment.

Leng Qingci could never have imagined that her ordinary use of mental power would enable Xie Lingxin to think and understand so much.

He stood there, speechless and stunned.

It couldn't help but call out a few times.

The others looked at him strangely.

Is this crazy Taoist priest really that good-looking?
They only thought it was because of the Taoist priest.

After all, Xie Lingxin's behavior and reactions at the tavern at the foot of the mountain had been somewhat strange.

He clearly knows a lot of things.

This includes the Yue Shaobao, the twelve gold tablets, and the mad Taoist priest in front of us.

Xie Lingxin came to her senses and, seeing their expressions, knew that he seemed to have some doubts.

He then sat down and said, "The Divine Firmament Path... is not an ordinary sect."

He briefly explained what he knew.

He knew about Shenxiao Dao, a Daoist sect that flourished during the Song Dynasty.

Let me put it this way: in the history of Taoism, no other sect has ever been as prestigious as the Shenxiao Sect!
That Lord of Shenxiao, Lin Lingsu, is known as the Immortal National Preceptor. He can even issue orders on behalf of the emperor and influence the fate of a country. Even the crown prince has to be mindful of his mood.

It almost destroyed Buddhism.

When he was alive, Buddhist temples were converted into palaces and monasteries, Shakyamuni became a celestial being, bodhisattvas became great beings, arhats became venerable ones, and monks became virtuous men. Everyone was required to grow their hair long, wear a crown, and carry a bamboo slip.

Such an outstanding figure was certainly not to be tolerated by the emperor, so he was eventually demoted.

However, the lineage of the Shenxiao Dao has already spread throughout the world and penetrated deep into the country.

How could they be killed so easily?
Everyone listened intently as he spoke.

"who are you?"

The mad Taoist priest regained his senses but did not recognize the person in front of him.

He couldn't even recognize the "Divine Emperor of Shenxiao" whom he had previously worshipped.

It's because he's gone mad.

Everyone felt a sense of relief.

Xie Lingxin snapped out of her daze and, seeing the somewhat unfocused light in his eyes, feared he had gone mad again.

He cut to the chase: "I'll ask you, why was Shenxiao Palace sealed off? Why was Shenxiao Dao banned by the emperor?"
