Am I being simulated by their love affair.

Chapter 121 Repeating the Mistakes of the Past

Chapter 121 Repeating the Mistakes of the Past
Wangyue Yao stood at the top of the slope. The July crape myrtles had already withered, and the dead leaves of the cherry trees were almost all gone, leaving only twisted and bare branches.

"Do you want to go eat something first?" Jun Matsueda walked in front of the girl and blocked her view.

A black car stopped outside the Musashi No Mori Café. Mochizuki Haruka held onto the corner of Matsueda Jun's clothes and sat down next to him by the window.

The seasonal peach pancakes on the menu were gone, so Jun Matsueda ordered a soufflé pancake and two cups of black tea.

After the waiter brought the food, he split the pancake in half, cut one half into small pieces, and fed it to the motionless girl beside him.

Mochizuki Yao ate in small bites, chewing very slowly.

Jun Matsueda knew that she had no appetite right now, but if there was bad news in the evening, she would definitely not want to eat anything, so it would be good to eat a little more now.

The girl spent twenty minutes preparing half a pancake and a cup of black tea. As she was leaving the café, Mochizuki Haruka called out to her.

"I want to take my time getting back to the hospital."

Matsueda Jun thought for a moment and said, "Then let's take the bus."

The two stood at the intersection in front of the cafe waiting for the traffic light. After the green light on the opposite side came on, Matsueda Jun took a few steps and found that the girl was still there.

He had no choice but to walk back to her. Mochizuki Haruka subconsciously took his arm, and the two of them walked across the zebra crossing and waited for the bus at the bus stop next to the supermarket.

Jun Matsueda looked at the girl sitting next to him with her head down. She was like a child in an orphanage who had done something wrong. The closer the truth was to being revealed, the blanker her mind became.

The blue and white bus arrived at the station. He took Mochizuki Haruka on the bus and let her sit by the window.

The bus continued straight ahead, stopping and starting occasionally, but soon entered Setagaya. The buildings along the road were high and low, and shadows occasionally cast upon the face of the girl standing by the window.

This time, the route to the hospital was different from the usual black car route, and Matsueda Jun thought the bus was a wise choice. The bus would have passed by a temple complex, offering a view of a vast cemetery.

They passed a stretch of bare farmland and the withered woodlands behind the temple complex. Even though Wang Yueyao subconsciously prayed that the bus would go slower and slower, they finally saw the white exterior wall of the hospital.

When the two entered the hospital corridor, it was already an hour after sunset. Dusk rose from outside the corridor window, spreading to the zenith, and surrounding the entire Setagaya.

Mochizuki Yao looked at the door of the conference room in front of her. Her breathing began to become heavy and rapid. The girl was about to be addicted to the smell of disinfectant floating in the air.

"Pine branches."

Jun Matsueda took the girl's hand and waited for her to calm down. He didn't intend to open the door for her.

Five minutes later, Mochizuki Haruka came to her senses. She let go of the boy's hand and pushed open the cold and smooth conference room door with her sweaty palm.

Brighter light and the whispers of the experts mixed together, drowning out their figures.

"Based on the current clinical situation, we believe that the possibility of Ms. Mochizuki regaining consciousness is essentially zero."

"The cause of the disease has not yet been identified. The symptoms are very close to those of a vegetative state, and the vital signs are stable. Subsequent treatments may include brain nerve stimulation, but this is quite risky."

"If you want to keep the patient alive, more radical treatments are not recommended."

"For details, please refer to the report in your hand."

Jun Matsueda sat at the head of the conference table and looked at the girl next to him.

There was no expression on Mochizuki Haruka's face, she just lowered her head and flipped through the report in her hand.

"Thank you." These were the last words she said in the meeting.

The sounds of chairs being pushed, doors opening, and scattered footsteps could be heard in the conference room, and soon there were only the two of them left in the room.

"Matsueda." Mochizuki Haruka said softly, her right hand resting on Matsueda Jun's thigh, "Please help me go to the bathroom."

Her legs had gone limp.

When she was only a few steps away from the bathroom door, she suddenly let go of Matsueda Jun's hand and staggered towards the sink.

The girl placed her hands on the marble countertop, supporting her entire body weight, and she began to vomit.

The brown liquid was stained with small pieces of paste—the afternoon tea and soufflé. Mochizuki lowered her head, and a few strands of her black hair fell into the sink, staining it with disgusting filth.

After vomiting everything in her stomach, she began to dry heave intermittently, the sound echoing in the corridor.

Jun Matsueda took a glass of water and placed it on the counter. He turned on the faucet to flush out the filth in the sink and the strange smell in the air.

"Thank you." Mochizuki Yao said with difficulty. Her fingers had no strength left and she almost knelt in front of the sink.

Half an hour later, the girl recovered from the stress. She rinsed her mouth with water from her cup and washed her face. She stayed in her aunt's hospital room for another hour, doing nothing but quietly watching the sleeping woman on the bed.

Jun Matsueda looked at the girl in front of him. She seemed petrified and motionless. Only when he concentrated could he hear the girl's breathing.

"It's better not to sleep in the hospital today." He suggested softly, and Mochizuki Haruka nodded with her back to him.

After sitting in the back seat of the black car, she suddenly said as she watched the mother and daughter walk out of the supermarket door on the roadside.

"I haven't cried yet. Maybe I'm stronger than I think."

Jun Matsueda didn't agree with her, which wasn't necessarily a good thing.

"Where are you sleeping tonight?" he asked. The black car was driving along the same road they had come from, not in the direction of Wangyue's house.

"I bought the room next to yours."

Mochizuki Yao looked at the street lights outside the window that were constantly receding. There were too many memories in the manor, and she just wanted to escape from there.

The car stopped downstairs and the two walked up the stairs.

"There is no elevator here. Do you still have the strength to go upstairs now?" Matsueda Jun asked the girl next to him, and Mochizuki Haruka nodded.

The house that Mochizuki Haruka bought was closer to the stairs. Matsueda Jun watched the girl use the key to open the door in front of him.

He turned on the light and walked into the living room and took a look around. It looked like a high-end apartment, and it must have been renovated by Mochizuki Haruka.

Mochizuki Haruka was already lying on the big bed in the bedroom, and Matsueda Jun knocked on the open bedroom door.

"I'll go prepare dinner next door and bring you one later?"

The girl looked at the ceiling without saying anything.

"I left my spare key on the table in your living room."

Jun Matsueda turned and left the bedroom. When he stood in the corridor and was about to close the security door, Mochizuki Haruka's voice came from the living room.

"No one will ever love me like she does, right?"

The girl stood barefoot at the bedroom door and looked at him.

Jun Matsueda was silent. He knew the answer to this question, but he didn't want to say anything against his will, let alone a question like love.

They agreed not to lie to each other.

"Don't be silent. Say something." Mochizuki Haruka's voice was pleading.

"Come with me to the next room. It's a bit cold in the room. It will be warmer next door when we cook." This was all Jun Matsueda could say.

"No, Lai Qi Yang Shi is next door. I just want the two of us now. Is that not okay?" The girl refused and walked towards him.

"Then I'll get the ingredients and cook over here for you later."

Jun Matsueda had to go back next door, he had to leave this room temporarily.

Because he couldn't bear the girl's expectations, he couldn't love her like the woman on the hospital bed.

Mochizuki Yao stopped and watched Songzhi Junxu close the door.

He returned to the next room, where Kurusu Yoshi was watching TV. Just as the girl was about to speak, there was a banging sound on the wall behind the TV.

That was the sound of something being thrown against the wall.

The sound of glass breaking, TV falling over, and tables and chairs overturned.

Jun Matsueda quickly ran back to the next room. The girl was standing in the ruins, with broken glass and blood on the ground.

Mochizuki Yao looked up at him.

"Matsueda, you originally had a system, right?"

 It's time to start!
