Chapter 550 Sudden Attack
Chapter 550 Sudden Attack
"Huh...done."
After clearing the normal difficulty level, Huang Wenfeng breathed a sigh of relief, leaned back in his chair, and picked up his cup to take a sip of water.
Only then did he realize that the comments section had completely gone crazy.
The screen was filled with words like "official website," "PV," "restricted area," and "demo," so densely packed that almost no other content could be seen.
"What's going on??" Huang Wenfeng was completely bewildered. "What PV?? The Final Forbidden Zone has a new PV?"
"Stop talking nonsense! Go now!"
"If we don't go now, the daylilies will get cold!"
"Star Platform! 'The Final Forbidden Zone'! Hurry up!"
Seeing the anxious tone in the comments, Huang Wenfeng was still a little confused, but he replied, "Okay, okay, let me see," while switching the game screen back to the desktop and skillfully opening the Starry Sky Games platform.
Although there has been no news about the game "Final Zone" since a PV was released at the end of last year, the discussion among players about "Final Zone" has never stopped.
On the one hand, from a technical point of view, this is StarCraft's first truly 3D game rendered in 2D style. As can be seen from the released PV, the visuals of "Final Zone" are completely different from the rendering style of "PUBG Mobile".
Secondly, from a gameplay perspective, the skills, resurrection, and various mechanisms shown in the previous PV of "Final Zone" are very novel for players who are already familiar with battle royale games.
So although "Final Zone" has been relatively quiet, it has still garnered a fair amount of attention.
However, even the most optimistic media outlets, when speculating on the game's release date, all said it would be released at the end of 18.
To everyone's surprise, it's only late February, and this thing has already released a new PV! And the PV's prefix clearly and explicitly states that it's a first-test demo PV.
"First closed beta test demo PV?"
Huang Wenfeng muttered those words to himself, his mind still a little blank.
Until I clicked on the interface.
The official website for "Final Zone" is quite different from that of "Final Frontline". The homepage of "Final Frontline" has a bright style with characters fighting side by side.
Since it has been running for two years, "Final Battlefront" still has a lot of cute and slightly risqué skin ads.
The final restricted area will still be relatively "aloof" at this point.
The background has changed to a deep, oppressive dark tone, and in the very center of the page is a huge countdown number. Below the countdown is a PV (video).
The video begins with complete silence.
The camera slowly pans across the ruins of a city completely swallowed up by vines and rust.
Under a gray sky, the crumbling skyscrapers stood like silent tombstones. Unlike the battlefields of fierce fighting between humans and omnics in "Final Battlefront," here... there was no war, only a deathly silence.
A voice-over begins, a slightly hoarse female voice, her tone revealing weariness and numbness.
"They say that beyond the high walls lies the graveyard of human civilization..."
"Radiation, alien species, broken mechanical bodies..."
The scene shifts, and a figure wearing a tattered protective suit and carrying a huge backpack appears in the frame.
The figure walked alone on the deserted street, his footsteps rustling over the piles of fallen leaves.
"But someone has to go to the cemetery and retrieve what we've lost."
The world of "Final Zone" is set in another timeline, where the war between humans and omnics has come to a tragic end.
Humanity paid a heavy price to achieve victory. But victory does not signify the end. Military AI, having lost its central intelligence, no longer actively attacks humans, but it will still automatically attack anyone who enters its range.
The intense warfare and radiation have completely transformed the once bustling city.
These areas are called restricted zones, and those responsible for exploring these restricted zones are naturally our Valkyries, or female dolls.
In order to better train the tactical preparation of the humanoids (actually, to avoid the risk of censorship).
Therefore, in the game's setting, the humanoids need to undergo special training before entering the restricted area. This training is a complete simulation of a real battlefield.
The androids, under the command of their commander, must enter the battlefield and achieve a simulated victory.
This actually corresponds to two gameplay modes: one is the PVP battle royale mode, and the other is the high-intensity PVE mode, also known as the forbidden zone mode.
Of course, the latter currently only exists in PowerPoint.
After all, the PVP mode is essentially just adding mods to the PUBG mobile game, but the forbidden zone mode is a completely new system.
The same applies to the game's first test PV.
In order to rebuild civilization, humanity has repeatedly ventured into forbidden zones, searching for usable resources and lost technologies from bygone eras.
The visuals in the PV also change along with the narration.
The camera cuts to the interior of a high-tech training base, where several popular humanoid girls are preparing their equipment.
"In order to enable androids and commanders to better adapt to the complex environment outside the walls and achieve the greatest return with the least cost, we have launched the 'Forbidden Zone' simulation training program."
"Here, you will face the most realistic battlefield environment simulation."
In the scene, a squad of humanoid robots parachutes onto a deserted island, quickly scatters after landing, and searches for weapons and equipment in the buildings.
Immediately afterwards, another group of humanoids appeared not far away, and the two sides engaged in a fierce skirmish in the alley. Bullets whistled, and skill effects exploded among the ruins. The pace of the battle was extremely fast and full of uncertainty.
"You will also face each other, hone your tactics in the confrontation, and determine the strongest one."
Before the words were even finished, the scene in the PV changed again.
This time, it's no longer a battle between humanoids.
The scene shifts to a dark underground research institute, where the atmosphere is extremely oppressive.
The team advanced cautiously, their flashlight beams flickering in the darkness, illuminating only a small area ahead. The sounds of metallic scraping and inhuman screams filled the air.
"At the same time, you will also face your deepest fears. The data in the restricted area will create the most powerful enemy, testing your cooperation and courage."
Although this round of open beta does not include PVE content, StarCraft has still added some wild monsters to the PVP map in advance to test the gameplay and enhance the fun of the game.
At the end of the PV, the camera zooms out and freezes on a slogan.
Welcome to the Final Forbidden Zone, Commander.
The video ends and the webpage refreshes automatically.
The rules for the first test of the game were also displayed on the screen. They were actually quite simple, just the same old gameplay as Starry Night, a full open test. However, this time the test period was given a long time, a full 7 days.
After watching the PV, Huang Wenfeng's first reaction was to click download, and his second reaction was to find his PUBG cheat tool.
