Chapter 109 The Final Front: Tracing the Origins
Chapter 109 The Final Front: Tracing the Origins
Throughout the entire animation, the comments section was constantly filled with messages, starting from the very beginning when UMP9's calves appeared.
A large group of "foot fetishists" immediately guessed who the girl was.
"Holy crap! Those legs! I'd guess it's UMP9!"
"Hey buddy up, be more confident, drop the blind guess!"
"AWSL! Jiujiang's legs are healed!"
A large group of LSPs, "outrageous remarks," and various "prprpr"s intertwined, and then Mosin-Nagant's figure appeared as coldly as moonlight, and the style of the barrage changed again.
"Elegant! So elegant!"
"This is the true beacon of light on the battlefield!"
"Moxin's wife!!"
Then, when PKP appeared, the tone changed completely again.
"Hahaha! Here it comes! The humanoid self-propelled turret!"
"'Getting in the way'—a classic quote has appeared!"
"I knew she was going to shoot! PKP, you're something else!"
When PKP actually unleashed a barrage of fire at the broken log, sparks flew and spent shell casings flew everywhere, the chat exploded with excitement:
"Hahahaha, damn! Simple and straightforward, I love it!"
Sure enough, the M4 followed closely behind.
"Haha, M4's expression perfectly replicates how I look when I take my own mischievous kid out."
“‘Can’t you learn from Mosin?’ M4, we’ve said that to you eight hundred times!”
Mosin: Don't call me, I'm picking up sawdust.
From the opening sequence to the subsequent appearances of the Mosin-Nagant, PKP, and M4, the density of the comments on the screen kept increasing.
This entire animation feels completely different from the animations that appeared in version 1.0. First of all, this animation no longer resembles a cutscene in the game.
It is closer to the animation in the context of "animation".
This feeling is peculiar, but it's actually quite easy to discern.
Because in Final Frontier 1.0, the cutscenes, apart from the affection animations, were basically not responsible for character development.
Just like the scene we just witnessed, if this were a scene from a 2D game, 99% of the games would choose to use a combination of character portraits and dialogue.
However, animation was used here.
Besides the excellent animation, the script for these two or three minutes of animation is also clearly meticulously crafted.
Just the last two or three minutes.
Not only were they baited, but they were also called out. The commander was in trouble, and this squad's mission was to rescue him.
The characters' personalities were fully portrayed through just a few lines of dialogue.
Even if UPM9 doesn't say a single line, you can still roughly understand the personalities and characteristics of the girls just by hearing this dialogue, even if you've never played Final Frontline.
It has hooks, and it has distinct characters.
Naturally, it attracted the attention of players, but as the barrage of comments exploded, the editors in the GamerSky editorial office were left bewildered.
"What is Xingchen trying to do?"
"Are you going to make animation?"
Is this part of the main storyline in version 1.1?
Before the press conference began, almost everyone thought that the game "Final Front" that first appeared in the silhouette was version 1.1.
But now, what is shown in this animation is quite different.
"They're not going to release a new game based on the same IP, are they?"
Just as everyone was discussing it, the animation ended and the screen lit up again.
This time, however, it's not a 2D animation, but a loading screen full of technological flair.
The loading screen has a cold, technological feel to it, with lines flowing and recombinating rapidly on the screen, eventually converging into the familiar logo of "Final Front".
Immediately following, two large characters slowly emerged below the logo: "Tracing the Origins".
The Final Front: Origins
"Holy crap!! This is a new game!!"
With a strange cry from the editing room, almost at the same moment the words "tracing the source" solidified, the comments section went completely crazy.
"A new game!!! It really is a new game!!!"
"So that incredibly high-quality animation we just saw was the opening animation for the new game?!"
"Is this a single-player game???" "You're kidding me!!"
Before everyone could fully recover from their shock, the loading screen suddenly disappeared, and the scene abruptly changed.
What came into view was a scene that surprised everyone.
That's the forest we just saw.
But it's no longer the immersive chase perspective of previous animations, nor the close-ups of characters moving through the forest. Instead, it's a shot reminiscent of a classic top-down shooter game.
Classic top-down perspective games like Hades from the previous era also used this type of camera angle.
The trees that appeared tall and straight in the animation have now transformed into clusters of green canopies of varying shades, distributed in a pleasingly sparse manner.
The trail that UMP9 and her team had previously run along, winding and twisting through the forest, was clearly visible.
The piece of wood that was broken in the animation earlier also appears in the scene.
The feeling was amazing. One second they were in a scene from an animation, and the next second, the place they had just been in was presented to them in a completely new way, with a clear game interface.
"There's even actual gameplay footage?!"
However, no, the game simply showed the scene from before and then turned off the screen.
It can follow closely behind.
As the screen went from dark to bright again.
A demo is now available; feel free to try it out.
"For more information, please visit the CNJOY Starry Sky booth on July 29th."
~~~
"Huh!?! A demo game!?"
When these two lines of text appeared on the screen, the players cheered.
The cheers were so intense that even with the barrage density set to the lowest level, the barrage appeared at the same speed as bullets.
Meanwhile, all the game industry professionals watching the live stream were completely stunned.
It's not surprising that Starry Games has teased a new game.
Surprisingly, Starry Sky Games actually released a demo!!?
This is impossible!!!
How did you do that?!?!
Although for game industry professionals, the production cycle of a gameplay verification demo is not as long as one might imagine.
If the developer has ideas and a team, they can usually create a gameplay demo in ten days to a month.
Normally, such a demo would not be shown, let alone made available for trial play.
Even the developers themselves don't know how this version of the gameplay demo will be changed in the next version.
A gameplay demo for a game needs to go through at least two or three iterations before it can be shown to the public, which takes at least half a year.
Some of these are still in the gameplay demo version, and may even need to be adjusted for a year or two.
After all, gameplay is the foundation of everything.
If the gameplay demo isn't finalized, you can't stack blocks on top of each other.
Even considering that Final Front: Origins likely reuses some of the art assets from Final Front and is a 2.5D game, the process should be faster.
It should take at least three months, right?
Unless someone has already envisioned the final product in the first version of the gameplay demo, it's unlikely they'd be able to release such a demo for demonstration.
But...do such people really exist?
impossible
This is equivalent to asking whether anyone can see the answers to the college entrance examination before it even begins. While such a person might theoretically exist, it is theoretically impossible.
So, could this demo be one of those with extremely low completion rates?
Or perhaps it's just a demo using the gameplay of "Final Front"? Or maybe it's just a section taken from the side story of "Final Front".
They're taking what was originally DLC and making it a full game?
But looking at the last few seconds of the scene... it doesn't seem like it.
Whatever the answer may be.
no doubt.
Starry Sky Games piqued players' interest with this short animated film and a few seconds of actual gameplay footage.
I absolutely have to come down and try it!
After confirming that the game's subtitles read "Welcome to try it out" instead of "Stay tuned," the owner of GamerSky clearly realized that players would definitely be interested in this demo.
So, they directly called out Chen Mo's name.
"Chen Mo!!"
"Go check out StarCraft's official website right now. If they've really released a demo, try it out first, and then immediately write a draft!"
"Yes!"
Following Chen Mo's reply...
This is the end.
The homeless community has already "lost" two editors.
At this point, only 5 minutes had passed since the start of the Starry Night Games press conference.
