Chapter 36 Peach Ghost Girl
on TV.

Zhang You had once been in charge of a conglomerate, but the feeling was completely different from now. He had single-handedly overthrown a country, had the power to take and take from everyone, and held the power of life and death in his hands. He had a feeling of being omnipotent.

His appearance reflected his inner self, and at this moment, he exuded a cold indifference and arrogance in front of the camera, as if he were a replica of another Zhou Shentong.

That arrogance and confidence did not come from money, power, or the praise of others, but from himself.

"The Temple of Longevity hereby announces..."

"We will join forces with the Blackwater Kingdom to develop Zhangwei Mountain and explore ancient relics that are constantly returning from time and space."

"Our goal is to completely integrate the extraordinary world into Earth, and to transform all people in the world from ordinary beings into extraordinary beings."

"We will establish a non-human alliance in another world and invite people from all over the world who have transcended the mortal body or are qualified to become saints to join us."

"Next month on the first, we will hold our first summit in Ellem City at the foot of Zhangwei Mountain, inviting all parties to participate and discuss the specific details of the establishment of the Non-Human Union Association, as well as..."

"At the summit, we will not only reveal the secrets of extraordinary power, but also open up a portion of it to members who join the Non-Human Union Association, and we will also offer exploration slots into Zhangwei Mountain..."

The entire speech lasted about twenty minutes, and this time no one interrupted or cut him off. The concept of immortality took center stage on the world stage in a way that was astonishing.

They declared that they were not only overthrowing one country, but would also reshape the entire world order.

After the speech ended.

Zhang You left the capital of the Blackwater Kingdom and flew to the airport in Ellem City at the foot of Zhangwei Mountain.

At this time, Zhangwei Mountain's main body had entered more of the mortal world, no longer confined to Black Stone Peak, but transformed into a continuous mountain range, part of which had been squeezed into the territory of the Blackwater Kingdom.

Looking southeast from the roads within the Blackwater Kingdom and from the city of Ellem, it is shrouded in darkness.

Even though it was daytime and there were no clouds in the sky, it looked like the calm before a storm, and the weather was getting colder and colder.

"Shasha~"

It was snowing outside, and the convoy heading from the airport to Zhangwei Mountain stopped in the shadows.

Zhang You got out of the car and walked towards the raised black "high wall," his figure swallowed by the darkness.

Zhang You seemed to be walking on an irregular black water surface. He looked up at the snow falling from the sky, and the snow turned black as it fell.

As he walked, he sank down, gradually merging into the landscape, and finally arrived at the real Zhangwei Mountain.

Here, he met Zhou Shentong.

The other person was standing in front of the Gate of the Underworld, staring into the doorway as if trying to see inside.

"Immortal Venerable!"

Upon seeing Zhou Shentong, Zhang You immediately knelt on the ground.

Zhang You, who had single-handedly overthrown a nation and achieved extraordinary status outside, was now like a mount in Journey to the West seeing its master, immediately prostrating itself on the ground and revealing its true form in front of Zhou Shentong.

The Taoist priest flicked his whisk, not even turning to look at him: "Is the matter finished?"

Zhang You didn't dare to look up: "Everything has been arranged."

Zhou Shentong asked, "How many countries will come?"

Zhang You quickly replied, "Most of them should send someone over."

Zhou Shentong, however, did not seem so happy: "What about the rest?"

Zhang You replied, "I will provide the country with extraordinary power, arrange for extraordinary organizations to be stationed in their country, support the extraordinary forces within their country that are inclined to us, and let them taste what the iron fist of freedom in the extraordinary world is like."

Zhou Shentong immediately burst into laughter.

And the other side.

Inside the "Gate" base, they immediately assessed and prepared to respond to the new round of actions by Zhou Shentong and Zhang You of the Changsheng Temple.

Everyone looked at Zhang You's speech from the Longevity Temple over and over again, their expressions growing increasingly grim, especially the name of the association that the Longevity Temple wanted to establish.

"Non-human Union Association"

"Why didn't we assess that Zhou Shentong had extreme anti-human and anti-social tendencies back then?"

“At that time, he was just a consultant, and no one evaluated him at all.”

"Moreover, it was probably after Zhou Shentong mastered extraordinary power and gradually gained even stronger power that it also had a stimulating effect on him."

"Zhou Shentong and the Changsheng Temple have become increasingly ambitious and arrogant. They no longer bother to hide their true intentions and openly declare their anti-humanitarian views to the world."

The word "inhuman" almost completely reveals Zhou Shentong's true nature. He despises and abandons the identity of being human; he is an anti-human being.

A madman, in a civilized human nation, says he wants to establish a non-human association, allowing a group of non-human beings to rule the world, and he does so with such arrogance.

At this point, Luo Zhen asked, "How is the outside world reacting?"

A standing secretary provided the latest update: "Several countries have agreed to send representatives."

Luo Zhen had expected this, but he still found it hard to accept: "This world has truly gone mad."

Finally, Luo Zhen received the news that they would not send representatives to participate in the so-called Inhuman Union Association.

However, Luo Zhen also received a mission: this time he would personally lead a team to the Blackwater Kingdom and Zhangwei Mountain in the present world.

He and Lu Gang will embark on a two-pronged operation, one in the present-day Zhangwei Mountain and the other in Zhangwei Mountain submerged in space.
-
As the entire island was transformed into a giant altar, it created a stable passage between Taoshan Island and the outside world, but it also caused more of the power of the peach trees to converge here.

The interior of Taoshan Island became even more chaotic and distorted, like a giant vortex and maze.

The wooden man, who had completely lost his mind, wandered among them, and all sorts of things were born and disappeared within them.

The deepest part of this void island.

Li Jun awoke amidst a fog and void.

The moment he opened his eyes, the phantom of the divine tree behind Li Jun also lit up, like a huge seal tightly binding him.

This is the power of the priestess.

She is the oldest peach demon, the being who has touched the divine stone the longest, and was born on the summit of Kunlun.

But at this moment, Li Jun has also mastered the power of another Peach Demon, which comes from the same source as the Priestess.

Despite being bound by layers of restraints, Li Jun managed to utter a name.

"Woman!"

When the name was uttered, not only did Li Jun look ahead, but a phantom-like figure seemed to appear in the sacred peach tree behind him and look over as well.

"The priestess!"

"Woman!"

Amidst the mist and gentle breeze, Li Jun faintly heard someone calling out.

Subsequently.

As the ancient, desolate sacrificial song resounded, Li Jun felt as if he had returned to the ancient wilderness, with an altar for worshipping the emperor beneath his feet.

A phantom figure danced on the enormous altar of Taoshan Island, singing of the desolate wilderness and the ancient gods, wearing a flower crown and waving peach branches.

Her shadow sometimes appeared through the mist, and sometimes disappeared behind layers of peach trees.

Li Jun watched quietly, but some changes began to occur in his body.

When we left the ancient times.

Li Jun found a part of the method to escape from the priestess's seal on the female priestess.

The female priestess's power also comes from the peach tree, representing the power of space, but it is somewhat different from that of the female priestess.

The power of Momokijo is the Stand. You can take a key part of your own body and make a Stand to place in a certain place, so that it can take on all the damage for you.

They might even die in your place at a crucial moment, completely replacing you.

Li Jun thought to himself, "Could it be that someone else can take on the seal for me?"

At this moment.

Li Jun watched as the phantom of the peach demon sang ancient songs little by little, climbing higher and higher towards him.

Finally, the shadow of the female nun stood before him.

The woman was also looking at Li Jun, as if she recognized him, yet also as if she didn't.

Finally, she reached into Li Jun's chest and pulled out his heart.

"hiss!"

Li Jun snorted and looked at the heart.

It was the first time he had ever seen his own heart, bloody and still beating, but Li Jun felt a strange sense of emotion as he looked at it.

Because this proves that he is a person, a living being, and not some indescribable monster.

Immediately afterwards, a large number of tentacles were born in the phantom hands of the female spirit, reconstructing a completely new Li Jun around the heart.

It is a wooden statue, but it is so lifelike that if you listen carefully, you can even hear Li Jun's heart beating inside the wooden statue.

At this moment, Li Jun took the next step in breaking free from the seal and spoke.

"replace!"

As soon as he spoke, Li Jun felt his body relax, and the space around him seemed to turn upside down.

Li Jun stood up and took a step, landing on the ground.

Looking back, he saw his wooden statue sitting cross-legged beneath the phantom of the sacred tree, just as he had before.

“It actually worked.”

Li Jun watched for a while, then walked outside.

Passing through layers of peach orchards, parting the thick fog.

As Li Jun walked, he always felt that something was watching him, as if another ghost was following behind him.

He turned around, but saw nothing.

But he guessed it.

Li Jun may seem to have escaped the price he was supposed to pay as a priestess, but in reality, he has simply jumped from one price to another.

Compared to the female priestess, the price is merely for Li Jun to disappear from the outside world.

The price that the female spirit demands is much heavier. Once a certain amount is reached, the female spirit will make those who borrow her power disappear from the world.

However, Li Jun couldn't care less about any of that at this moment. He strode towards the outside of Taoshan Island, and had already planned what to do after he got out.

"Let's go to Zhangwei Mountain in the real world and see what's going on there!"

Although in ancient times, Li Jun successfully "killed" Zhulong and split it into three.

However, Li Jun didn't know the exact situation of Zhulong and Zhangweishan in modern times, and he had to see it for himself.

Furthermore, Li Jun also wanted to know many secrets about Zhulong, and why Zhangwei Mountain and Zhulong would reappear in this era.

As he walked, Li Jun suddenly transformed into a feathered being, spread his wings, and flew into the sky.

He descended from the sea of clouds, piercing through layers of mist.

night.

He saw the lights of thousands of homes in the distance, a scene that was both familiar and made Li Jun feel as if he had never been there before.

"Nangang!"

Li Jun looked at the city; it was the Nangang he knew, yet it seemed to have undergone earth-shattering changes.

As Li Jun descended, he pondered how to get to Zhangwei Mountain; he couldn't possibly fly there by himself like that.

However, at the same time, he also discovered that another group of people, like him, were also preparing to go to the vicinity of Zhangwei Mountain.
-
Nangang City Dongcheng Airport.

Luo Zhen led his entire squad on a mission, each member dressed in a sharp suit, smartly making their way through the passageway to board the plane.

Zhao Nange, dressed in a suit and with her hair in a ponytail, followed behind Luo Zhen. She looked up at their destination and asked, "Why do we have to go through Southeast Asia?"

Luo Zhen: "Blackwater has announced a flight ban on several countries, and we went there this time under the pretext of a business trip."

Zhao Nange didn't ask any more questions, but Luo Zhen continued to say a few more.

"This mission is dangerous, be prepared."

Zhao Nange walked quietly, her expression as if she hadn't heard anything, but she responded softly.

"What preparation?"

Luo Zhen: "Among us, if anything happens, you are the most likely to survive. You are the last line of defense for the mission."

Zhao Nange: "I understand."

Luo Zhen: "Have you written down all the specific tasks?"

Zhao Nange: "I remember everything."

Luo Zhen then took out one of his customized mobile phones and handed it to Zhao Nange for safekeeping.

Luo Zhen and his group entered the cabin, nodded to the flight attendant at the door, and then walked to their left.

The flight took off smoothly without any issues, except that there was suddenly an extra person on board after takeoff.

Li Jun was sitting on the plane, not in the cabin, but on the nose of the plane.

Li Jun didn't know the way, but he knew that if he followed this group and transferred a few flights, he would eventually reach his destination.

At an altitude of 18,000 meters.

As the flight was cruising smoothly along the A791 route, about to enter the territory of Blackwater, the co-pilot in the cockpit suddenly noticed a rapidly approaching bright spot on the radar screen.

At first, he didn't realize what was happening, but he quickly discovered that the target's ascent rate was an astonishing 1600 meters per second, and he immediately connected to the communication channel.

"We encountered an unknown [issue] in airspace B."

However, the communication channel was soon cut off by a sharp electromagnetic interference.

At that moment, a surface-to-air missile was rapidly approaching, its radar seeker continuously correcting its parabolic trajectory, with only seventeen seconds of flight time remaining to reach the target passenger plane.

Inside the cockpit of the passenger plane, the Level 5 alarm system suddenly lit up with the highest level red diamond-shaped indicator.

A shrill, mechanical female voice repeatedly broadcast the message in five languages.

"Collision avoidance system malfunction."

"Collision avoidance system malfunction."

"..."

Inside the cabin, Zhao Nange suddenly sensed something. Her keen death instinct and enhanced vision and hearing allowed her to perceive danger more intensely than the average person.

She straightened up abruptly, woke up everyone else, and quickly pulled out an escape kit that had been prepared in advance from the luggage rack and put it on Luo Zhen.

"problem occurs?"

Before anyone else could utter a word, everyone immediately and uniformly put on their bags.

After saying that, she immediately went to the window and looked outside. At this moment, she could hear the panic in the cockpit and the announcement that there were only ten seconds left before the collision.

Even in the aisle behind them, dark-skinned flight attendants had begun running frantically.

She couldn't see outside the window, but she already knew what was going on.

"It's a missile."

The team members immediately realized the problem. Their arrival was top secret, so how could they have been discovered before even reaching Blackwater Country?

"The information was leaked?"

"What exactly went wrong? How come the Longevity Temple always manages to know our information so accurately in advance?"

"There must be someone within the Changsheng sect among us, possibly through some kind of extraordinary power."

"It's not necessarily about the concept of immortality. Those foreign forces have gone mad. They're willing to pay any price to find out the secrets about us and our supernatural powers."

In this critical moment, Luo Zhen remained silent, or rather, arguing about such matters was pointless. Luo Zhen simply sat quietly, looking at Zhao Nange, his eyes seemingly repeating the words he had spoken to Zhao Nange before they set off.

Zhao Nange gripped her phone tightly in her pocket and stood silently in front of Luo Zhen.

In the distance, the missile's trail was beginning to emerge, and a collision seemed imminent.

At this moment, everyone in the group present was ready.

They just didn't notice what was above their heads.

At an altitude of 10,000 meters, Li Jun's body had already undergone partial transformation, as it was quite cold at such a height.

He opened his eyes and looked at the shadow coming from the clouds, then flicked out a green feather between his index and middle fingers.

"Whoosh!"

With a flash of light and shadow, the surface-to-air missile was instantly destroyed.

"Boom!"

The flash of the violent explosion in the distance wasn't particularly noticeable, but it still caused the passenger plane to shake violently.

Screams erupted inside the cabin, but those in the cockpit quickly realized the warning had ended and the rapidly approaching object had vanished, prompting gasps of surprise.

Standing by the window, Zhao Nange noticed the light from the explosion, and her pupils instantly contracted—an expression she hadn't shown even when facing life and death.

At this moment, not only Zhao Nange noticed it, but everyone else did too.

"what happened?"

"Why did it explode ahead of schedule?"

"never mind?"

Zhao Nange looked up and noticed something that others hadn't.

"There were people above him; he shot down the missile."

Luo Zhen, Zhao Nange, and everyone else immediately looked up at the sky, their faces filled with horror.

Having someone capable of cutting through surface-to-air missiles right above them is more terrifying than being attacked by missiles themselves.

At this moment, chaos broke out at the other end of the cabin, and someone pulled out a weapon and launched a suicide attack on the area where Luo Zhen and Zhao Nange were.

Inside the passenger cabin.

Luo Zhen sat in his seat, with two corpses lying under the curtain beside him. Perhaps because he had experienced too many big scenes recently, he had also developed a calm demeanor in the face of life and death.

Amidst bursts of gunfire and screams, the cabin on the other side of the curtain gradually quieted down until Zhao Nange, dressed in a suit, lifted the curtain and put away a gun.

Zhao Nange: "They are all suicide soldiers. These people were not originally prepared to live. They are a second layer of preparation in case something goes wrong with their mission, or rather, they are here to monitor us."

Luo Zhen looked up: "They're probably here for you."

Zhao Nange frowned: "Then it shouldn't be the Temple of Longevity."

Luo Zhen said, "If the plane crashes, there should be a third layer of security below. They want your body or to capture you alive. This may be their only chance to obtain supernatural powers."

"besides……"

Before the conversation was over, another gasp came from outside. An ordinary-looking passenger stood up and suddenly detonated the bomb he was carrying.

Zhao Nange suddenly lifted the curtain, and Luo Zhen also stood up and looked outside. He saw the firelight and several team members rushing towards the person who detonated the bomb.

All eyes were fixed on one point in astonishment, and everyone was rushing towards that one point; time seemed to slow down.

This attack was relentless, with one wave after another, and it was clear that this was by no means the last. One could also sense the desire of the forces behind it for extraordinary power.

They will not give up until they obtain this power, no matter the cost or how many people die.

Suddenly, a hand reached down from the top of the plane.

The hand was not strong; it didn't even look like an adult's arm, appearing thin and pale.

But when that hand pressed down, it was like a mountain that suppressed all the explosive force; the flames, shockwaves, and the sound of the explosion were all suppressed.

"What?" In that instant, everyone's pupils dilated in shock, as if they couldn't believe or accept what they were seeing.

"Who?" Zhao Nange looked up, but could only see the arm and not the person. However, she noticed that the hand had not damaged the top of the cabin at all. It was as if the hand had penetrated the boundary of some kind of space and reached into the interior of the aircraft.

"No!" Several team members who rushed towards the bomb were stopped by someone in front of them. Everyone looked at the scene in horror and quickly took a step back.

Before everyone's eyes, a vortex appeared in the palm of the hand, and all the power generated by the explosion converged towards that vortex, even the attacker who was blown to pieces.

Finally, everything vanished completely, as if it had never existed.

But high above the bulkhead, a shadow of light crept in little by little, gradually revealing the outline of a human figure.

The others tried to approach him, but Luo Zhen called out.

"Do not move."

Luo Zhen had already guessed who was on the plane. In fact, Zhao Nange had also guessed it. She had seen Lu Gang use the power to penetrate matter as if it didn't exist before.

Lu Gang later told her that this power was not his, but something that Li Jun had attached to him.

At this moment, she truly saw the user of this power.

Everyone watched as the light and shadow faded away, landing lightly on the ground as if it had lost its gravity. This time, not only Luo Zhen recognized him, but many foreigners on the plane also called out Li Jun's name.

"Li Jun with double pupils!"

Li Jun slowly walked down the aisle of the cabin. Everyone looked at him with different expressions, but almost no one was able to maintain a normal expression.

They looked at Li Jun as if he were someone who didn't belong to this world, someone who only existed in paintings and legends, and who had walked out of another dimension.

Li Jun walked up to Luo Zhen: "Would you like to talk to me?"

Luo Zhen stepped aside and gestured towards the seat opposite Zhao Nange, which had originally been occupied: "Sit!"

Luo Zhen sat opposite Li Jun. He had seen countless videos, photos, and documents about Li Jun, but this was the first time he had met Li Jun face to face like this.

The other person was completely different from what he had imagined, but in a way, they were exactly the same – completely unfathomable.

Li Jun was younger than he had imagined, but his eyes held something that didn't belong to Li Jun's actual age.

Luo Zhen finally asked a question: "You broke free from the seal?"

Li Jun nodded: "It's temporary. You pay a different price to temporarily escape this price, but eventually, when the time comes, the debt still has to be repaid."

Luo Zhen: "Is this the essence of extraordinary power?"

Li Jun asked him, "Do we really understand the nature of these forces?"

Luo Zhen stopped on this topic he wasn't good at: "You seem much younger than the information suggests. Did you regain your youth after gaining power? You're like a mythical immortal."

Li Jun: "It's different."

Luo Zhen seemed very interested in understanding Li Jun: "Isn't it good to be young again? Maybe you really can live forever like the immortals in mythology?"

Li Jun said, "This is not rejuvenation. It's just that the demon took away a part of my existence as a price. Whether it's me or Zhou Shentong, every time we use our power, the demon also takes away something that belongs to us."

"The more powerful a superhuman becomes, the closer they are to death and their end; death is perhaps the best of all these endings."

"That's why Zhou Shentong is so eager to uncover the secrets of the ancient times and to go behind that door."

"Although he claims to be an immortal, he is not one after all."

Although it was only a few short sentences, Luo Zhen gained an unprecedented amount of information, and he finally understood why Li Jun had answered him that way before.

Luo Zhen finally asked the crucial question: "So what do you want to do here this time?"

The implication is that you must have done something important by paying such a price!
Li Jun told him, "Kill Zhulong."

Luo Zhen suddenly leaned forward: "What?"

Even though the person in front of him was Li Jun with double pupils, Luo Zhen still found it hard to believe that he would say such a thing. Could an existence like Zhulong really be killed?

However, Luo Zhen did not say such things aloud, nor did he question Li Jun.

Luo Zhen extended an invitation: "Why don't you join us? Perhaps we can help you."

Li Jun: "You can't help with anything. Zhou Shentong is watching me, and there are probably other things watching me from the shadows. You can't withstand any aftershocks or impacts from this conflict."

"Remember, Zhulong and Zhangwei Mountain are not the end, but just another beginning. Be prepared."

Luo Zhen: "What preparations?"

Li Jun: "Zhou Shentong said that everything from ancient times is gradually preparing to return."

Luo Zhen stood up abruptly, his voice becoming louder.

"What do you know?"

Li Jun looked out the window and seemed to see the scene the shaman of the Hanhuang clan had told him in the reflection.

The moment of its birth, it caused mountains to rise from the flat ground, its presence to leave a trail of barren land for thousands of miles, and a golden dragon to fly in the sky, and so on.

He wasn't sure what those things were, and even if he guessed their names, he wouldn't know what their specific powers would be, but he knew that these things were extremely dangerous.

"Coming."

Li Jun stood up and his body passed straight through the bulkhead of the plane, "merging" into it.

One by one, the figures in the cabin rushed to the window and saw a figure fly through the clouds towards the vast land.
-
heaven.

Li Jun flew for two or three hours before finally landing.

"It can fly, but it can't go far!"

Li Jun once again felt how accurate the description of the Feathered People in the Classic of Mountains and Seas was.

However, Li Jun had just spotted Zhangwei Mountain. He planned to hike and fly, and it shouldn't take long to get there.

However, Li Jun was not prepared to act recklessly from the start and confront the Zhulong in Zhangwei Mountain head-on.

Ancient times are ancient times, and modern times are modern times.

Only after investigation can we know the specific situation. He plans to investigate the specific information about Zhangwei Mountain at the foot of the mountain.

on the road.

Not long after Li Jun left, he encountered a convoy heading towards Zhangwei Mountain. Someone in the convoy spoke to him in Kent and invited him to get in.

Li Jun sat in the car, constantly looking out the window.

The man said, "I am Zheng Shiliang. Are you a local?"

Li Jun did not use any supernatural powers, and he looked younger than the information indicated. The person on the plane did not immediately recognize him like the other passengers did.

Some residents on the border of the Blackwater Kingdom do not look much different from the people of the Eastern Kingdom.

Li Jun glanced at the other people in the convoy; they were mostly foreigners.

"No, I'm also from the East. Why did you come here with a foreign research team? Aren't there teams in the Western Frontier too?"

Zheng Shiliang immediately started speaking Dongguo dialect, and his speech became much more relaxed, probably because the others around him couldn't understand him.

He said, "I studied in Kent, and I have no qualifications or funding to participate in this kind of research. This time it just happened that they invited me because they thought I was from the East and had some knowledge of the East's mythology."

"I had the chance to come into contact with extraordinary power, so I immediately ran over to check it out."

He glanced around and whispered to Li Jun.

"Maybe I'll become a superhuman too!"

Li Jun: "So that's why you came?"

Zheng Shiliang: "If I could, who would want to be an ordinary person!"

People are more likely to open up about their feelings when they are with their compatriots, especially strangers with whom they will likely never have any contact in the future.

From Zheng Shiliang, Li Jun also learned more about Zhangwei Mountain and the events that had occurred in the area around Ellem City in the Blackwater Kingdom.

Besides the political and military turmoil within the Blackwater Kingdom itself, and its conflicts with the Changsheng Temple and various other forces, Zhangwei Mountain itself is the source of the chaos.

Zhangwei Mountain, which has invaded the present world, is not only constantly changing itself, but also bringing about changes to the area below the mountain that are becoming more and more profound every day.

Li Jun asked, "What happened at the foot of Zhangwei Mountain?"

Zheng Shiliang said, "Didn't you see what's being said online? They're saying there's been a case of a ghost killing someone in the small town at the foot of the mountain."

Li Jun: "What did you say?"

Zheng Shiliang said, "There are no videos, it's all just rumors, I don't know if it's true or not."

At first, only some people saw ghostly figures at the foot of Zhangwei Mountain. They were lining up and waiting for something, and they brought more and more shadows into the human world. At this time, at least they were "harmless".

However, as the anomalies at Zhangwei Mountain deepened, incidents of ghostly figures injuring people began to occur.

Some people saw the ghostly figure at the foot of Zhangwei Mountain, and some of them left the foot of the mountain. Soon after, strange cases of injury and death occurred in the surrounding towns and villages.

Some say the ghostly figure hid in the shadow of a person and followed the living person away from Zhangwei Mountain and into the town.

But even so.

The towns at the foot of Zhangwei Mountain continue to attract people from all directions, and the towns are becoming increasingly lively, with research institutions from all over the world and countries gathering here.

Just by looking at Ellem's airport, you can tell that it's a place where groups of people arrive with professional equipment and teams, and these are all world-renowned figures.

Zheng Shiliang looked at Li Jun's profile and then asked.

Has anyone told you that you look a lot like Li Jun with double pupils, only a little younger?

Li Jun: "I said that."

Zheng Shiliang waited for the story to continue, but then nothing happened.

In a slightly awkward moment, Li Jun asked him a question.

"Have you made any progress in your research on Zhulong and Zhangwei Mountain? Or what do you think those ghostly figures are?"

Zheng Shiliang thought for a moment and said, "The mainstream view now is that Zhulong is a kind of being that can transform everything in reality into a special carrier similar to information and store it. I don't know if you have heard of the theory of cosmic memory?"

Li Jun finally became somewhat curious: "The theory of cosmic memory?"

Zheng Shiliang explained simply: "It means that all the information in the universe since its birth can be stored in a two-dimensional plane in some way."

"Some people believe that the Candle Dragon is a similar existence, which can convert human information and store it in a special way, thus forming ghostly figures."

"The same is true for Zhangwei Mountain. Zhulong devoured all the information about this mountain range and region, so it became a state between entity and information."

"Therefore, when people enter it, they will experience all sorts of abnormal conditions, such as amnesia, physical alienation, or even complete disappearance. These are all symptoms of information being taken away and recorded by the Candle Dragon."

"However, there are still some things that cannot be explained. For example, some people's shadows disappeared directly after they came out of Zhangwei Mountain. I really don't know how they did it. Also, how exactly did Zhulong create the eternal night? It's just too mysterious."

At this point, Zheng Shiliang mentioned two more people.

"It's estimated that only Zhou Shentong and Li Jun of the Changsheng Temple, who are said to be reincarnations of immortals, could know the truth about these mythical beings!"

Hearing Zheng Shiliang's words, Li Jun fell into deep thought.

The convoy drove all the way to a small town outside Ellem. Without even taking a break, the people went straight to the foot of Zhangwei Mountain for an inspection, showing a certain eagerness.

Extraordinary power and another mysterious world attract everyone like a black hole, even if it's like moths to a flame.

When they set off, Zheng Shiliang said something to Li Jun.

"This place is too chaotic; it's really not suitable for tourism. You should go back right away!"

Li Jun asked, "If that's the case, aren't you afraid?"

Zheng Shiliang laughed and said, "I'm not like Lord Ye who loved dragons but was terrified of them. I'm definitely prepared for what I'm here for."

Li Jun: "That's probably because you've never seen a real dragon."

Zheng Shiliang burst into laughter, thinking that Li Jun was telling him a joke.

Li Jun didn't say anything, he just waved goodbye.
