From the God of Lies to the Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 61 The Past of the Knights Templar

Chapter 61 The Past of the Knights Templar
Angelboda stared at the man before him, a fierce greed flashing in his eyes, but it was ultimately suppressed by intense fear!
This is his territory. He knows that Leon will not be able to help him in any way, so this miraculous performance is not from external help, nor is it a trick or special effect. It can only come from Leon Rankoc himself!

This was terrifying, and even the warden himself was jolted awake from his greed.

In this country where cults are rampant and Catholicism and Protestantism are the dominant beliefs, few people are unaware of God's existence.

After hearing the special title of "Lord of All Armies," they understood what needed to be understood.

Although Lyon didn't seem strong, Angelboda didn't dare to gamble. He didn't think the prison guards would help him in the face of such faith.

This is America, a country where presidential elections are conducted with the Bible at the forefront. Religion is their foundation, and he cannot gamble on these people abandoning their faith for his own sake.

That's absurd.

Therefore, the warden left without saying a word, fearing that if he didn't leave, the other party would really kill him.

A knight's prayer is a declaration of war; according to ancient tradition, it is time for the enemy to charge!
Watching the warden leave, Leon withdrew the light emanating from him and his fighting spirit. Looking at the prison guards who were still on guard against him, he smiled and asked, "Now, may I go in?"

"Sir, please!" Even though they had guns in their hands, the prison guards showed no intention of firing.

The eerie light they had just witnessed had left their colleagues groaning in agony, and they had no desire to try it again.

It's only a few thousand US dollars a month, why risk your life like that!
Moreover, upon seeing the light emanating from the other party, the phantoms of those knights, and the holy prompts, they understood everything they needed to understand.

From the prison guards' perspective, the man spoke very gently and showed no signs of anger, so complying with him was the best course of action.

Therefore, they made way for Lyon to enter the building and, following his special senses, arrive at the room where the items were stored.

The door was closed. He punched the lock, shattering it, and then pulled the door open.

The locker was locked, but Leon reached out and pulled, forcibly opening the thin metal locker and retrieving his package.

He casually discarded his personal belongings, leaving only the innermost box, which he treasured and cherished.

The box wasn't locked, but it couldn't be opened. It was locked from the inside in a special way, and it looked like a solid piece of wood.

He had seen this box in his grandfather's room when he was very young. As a child, he wanted to open it, but he spent a lot of time and tried many methods, but he could not make the box budge even slightly.

Whether it was cleaved by a knife, burned by fire, sawed by a chainsaw, or fell from a great height, it remained intact.

Now, the moment he took the box, the holy mark on his palm suddenly emitted a dazzling light, a crack appeared at the opening of the box, and the wooden hinges loosened, indicating that it could be opened!

Lyon took a deep breath, gently opened the box, and saw a thin booklet inside.

The booklet was made of parchment, very tough and ancient, and had some very special characters written on it that Lyon couldn't understand at all.

However, as his hand touched it, beams of light appeared in his mind, along with words and images:

"Damn the Dharma King, the Knights have lost everything... our banks... our real estate... the Knights' headquarters... the Grand Master... everything is gone..."

"Run! Take everyone and leave! Leave all the land, leave this country!"

Those were the scattered embers of the Silver Knights, broken apart by a series of orders...

"It's alright, we still have the Holy See. With the help of the Inquisition, we rebuilt the Knights Templar. As long as we continue to develop, we can restore the glory of the Knights Templar!"

"However, the Vatican isn't having an easy time either. You should go to the Dark Division first; there are still resources there that can help you survive..."

This is a dark church in the shadows, and knights training in its courtyard. Further away, knights are conversing with a man dressed as a bishop.

"Ah! The Holy See is indeed powerful. The Holy Lance, the Shroud of Turin, the Cross... these are the foundation for our fight against demons and evil gods..."

"Is this what we are meant to protect? How wonderful... As long as the Knights Templar have these, they still have power, and the flame has not yet been extinguished!"

In a mysterious basement, inside a special box, are several extraordinary sacred objects!

Before the sacred relic, elite knights knelt in the room, praying silently.

"What kind of creature is that! What kind of attack was that? We've failed! We've all failed! We have to go, preserving the fire is the most important thing..."

"The Lord has not yet awakened, the battlefield of the angels has collapsed, and Hell is distorting its order. This place has become a new Hell. Let's leave here first!"

On the battlefield ablaze with flames, demonic creatures laughed maniacally behind the people as they fled in madness!

Finally, after paying a heavy price, they escaped the battlefield and came to a deep mountain.

"From this day forward, we are—the Brotherhood!"

"Keep the secret, wait for the right time, and the Lord will eventually come to earth!"

An organization called the Brotherhood was formed, and a group of people gathered around to take an oath—this was the scene Leon had dreamed of.

The scene shifts again, showing the old man, who has been keeping the secret to himself, holding a sheepskin book.

“I…I’m dying, Lord. Will we ever meet again? The Rankoch family hasn’t forgotten any of this, but I won’t live to see you return…”

An elderly man, on the shore of Sicily, closed his eyes.

These words and images appeared one by one in Lyon's eyes, allowing him to gradually connect these stories using his historical knowledge:
In 1307, Pope Clement V announced the dissolution of the Knights Templar, and King Philip IV of France secretly arrested and killed members of the Knights Templar, thus the Knights Templar disappeared completely from history.

However, the members of the Knights did not perish, but instead became one of the dark sides of the Holy See, known as the Temple Executive Bureau.

They were secretly cultivating the Temple's loyalists and assisting the Papacy in managing special relics, such as the Shroud of Turin and the Lance of Longinus.

But years later, in a massive crisis that swept through the entire Roman Catholic Church, the main force of the Holy Knights was wiped out, and several major forces in the Dark Side were also severely damaged, leaving only a very small number of inheritors hiding in the deep mountains.

They changed their names and called themselves the "Brotherhood" in order to escape the pursuit of those terrible enemies.

They severed their connection to the Holy Light and the knightly tradition, and began to identify themselves as mafia and merchants, using blood ties to ensure the continuation of their legacy.

Ultimately, however, they did not receive the papacy's search, nor did they witness the Lord's resurrection. The last Knight Templar who was able to open the box died in Sicily in 1860.

The Templar Knight was his great-great-grandfather. When Leon saw the name, he remembered that long past.

"Why does this box look so familiar?" Leon looked at it a couple more times and suddenly realized that this box made of this material was the same box that stored those "holy relics" in that scene.
The Shroud of Turin and the Lance of Longinus were both kept in such boxes. These boxes, which possess holy power and require a holy mark to activate, are why my family couldn't open them before.

This is a box that can only be opened by a "knight," and inside is an item that requires mysterious power to activate!
What he had just experienced was the true history of the Knights Templar!

This is the "sacred relic" that needs to be preserved the most, Lyon understands.

Now, he is the sole heir of the family and the only secret agent of the Knights Templar!
