Chapter 326 Jose's Hellish Journey
Chapter 326 Jose's Hellish Journey
"You have disappointed me, José Carmen!" Just as José was groggily trying to wake up, he heard this rebuke.
This made the somewhat dazed man suddenly open his eyes.
He recalled what had just happened and said with some fear, "I...I've become a demon..."
"Foolish! The moment you offered up your soul, you became a demon!" Jiabo appeared before him, no longer resembling a noble young master, but transformed into a peculiar demonic form.
Demons of this level can basically change their form at will, just like Satan and the black dragon.
Demons generally don't have just one form; they just tend to use a certain form.
Just like angels, the original angels were even more demonic than demons. Their appearance contained a power that was enough to intimidate everything!
Upon hearing this, José slowly came to his senses and realized that his shock was merely the last vestige of his human conscience. But from any perspective, he was no longer human!
With this expectation in mind, José didn't have any other thoughts. If he didn't want to be human, so be it. In America, being a monster was much more comfortable than being human.
“I understand, Your Majesty Gabo!” Jose said, but Gabo stopped him, “You may call me Your Excellency or Your Highness. In this place, only a few great lords can be addressed as Your Majesty!”
In the human world, such a form of address might seem insignificant, but in hell, it can be deadly!
"Yes!" Jose realized he had misspoke, but he was surprised to find that he seemed to be able to speak his mother tongue again. How could this be?
Seeing his confusion, Jiabo casually said, "Because of your recklessness, you have lost the memory called Babylon, the power of the Brick Inscription Magic will leave you, and that corner of the future will also leave you. You can only retain the ability to exchange your lifespan for knowledge!"
Jose understood: since the power was lost, the price had also been paid.
This return feels incredibly heavy! His greatest power lies in these two things, and now all he has left is lifespan to exchange for power. What difference is there between that and death?
"Your Highness, will I still be able to obtain those powers? Or am I already dead, and my soul has already found its home?" José asked with some curiosity. He had already anticipated death, so he was no longer so afraid.
“Death? You’re not dead yet!” Gabo shook his head. “Even if you were dead, your soul wouldn’t belong to me. I want you to live on and continue to gather those powers for me! Whether it’s hatred, fear, or desire!”
"You have disappointed me greatly. You were helpful at the beginning, but in the end, for the sake of momentary pleasure, you chose to serve humanity—do you know what it means for a demon to serve humanity?"
Gabo's words filled Jose with terror. "I...I don't know..."
"This means you should descend into the City of Wrath, to be forged in endless lava, and with each resurrection, you will be burned to ashes before you repent!"
"Gabbo said softly, but the meaning behind his words filled Jose with boundless terror!"
Is this the punishment of hell? Just like that, one has to suffer the torment of being burned alive by lava, and it seems like it will last for a long time?
"This is fear? If you, as a demon, can't even withstand this much power, you might as well go to hell and hang out with those insects!" Gabo said, raising his hand and throwing Jose into a ball of fire in front of him. "Ice and heat are the first punishments of hell, and also your retribution!"
The indifferent, extraordinary creature inflicted a punishment on him that resembled death, causing José to feel endless pain before he could even react.
"Help...help me...please forgive me..."
His body seemed to be frozen in an instant. The cold sensation made his body feel as if it were frozen solid, and the piercing pain made him unable to speak.
But this was not the end. Around his body, a special flame had ignited, and the endless burning pain brought by the terrible flame made him feel a scalding heat.
This alternation between hot and cold seemed to be drawing away and replenishing his body temperature, and this alone was no less terrifying than hell!
Jose could only endure this pain, but he could also see that Gabo had led him to a place that seemed like nothingness. In this area, countless fallen angels with black wings stood silently, and in the center of the fallen angels sat a young man with black hair.
"Your Majesty, the person has been brought!" Jiabo bowed his head, showing none of the arrogance of a noble young master or the self-importance of a great demon.
"I saw it, you did a great job, Gabo, much better than that idiot Lamer!" The black-haired man's voice came, making Jose feel as if his mind had cleared up a lot. It felt like the other person's voice could make his body feel more comfortable.
He had guessed the other party's identity. Surrounded by fallen angels, to still be called a demon under His Majesty's name—there was probably only one Lucifer in the entire hell. The King of Fallen Angels, the ruler of the dark abyss, whose time crystals had even condensed into ice spikes here—it must be Lucifer without a doubt.
But the two only said that one sentence and then there was no further reaction, until Lucifer raised his hand and asked, "Baphomet, have we arrived?"
"They're here!" a gruff demonic voice rang out. "Cain is here too. Beelzebub and Soumad can't come for now; they were killed by Michael before!"
“Michael…Michael!” When Lucifer said this name, there was a hint of hesitation and detachment in his voice, indicating that this vice-king of Heaven had indeed caused them a lot of trouble.
Soon, two humanoid beings appeared before Lucifer, and together with Gabo, they transformed into three humans dressed in aristocratic attire.
Standing next to Lucifer, if you didn't look at the dark space and the fallen angels around him, you might even think that this was some kind of human conference hall.
“Hmm… Cain greets Your Majesty!” The handsome, even somewhat eerie, man bowed respectfully to Lucifer before nodding to Gabo. It was clear that the two of them were of the same rank, while Baphomet and Lucifer were of the same rank.
"Very good, now all those who planted hidden traps among humans have arrived! Beelzebub and Sommad can't come, so we won't wait for them. With you here, that's enough!"
Lucifer waved his hand, and Jose, who was still in the icy and fiery hell, suddenly appeared among them, with the four great demons staring at him.
Jose shuddered, feeling as if his body was out of his control as he was swept by four pairs of eyes.
"He is... the one you chose?" Cain seemed very curious. "Your Majesty, he doesn't even have any power left..."
"Power isn't something we can just give away easily," Lucifer said. "He carries a hatred within him! A hatred that has coalesced and gathered after being betrayed!"
Heaven needs souls, and so does Hell. These souls must possess qualities that command respect, qualities that José lacked before. But now, with America's official betrayal, he has them!
Just as Lucifer said those words, Jose felt a surge of anger rush to his brain, causing him to feel an indescribable rage.
This anger seemed so pure that it even caused the other three, besides Lucifer, to look at it with disdain.
A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes as he watched Jose, whose true form had been completely exposed and whose power had increased due to the manifestation of anger in this area.
“Hmm…it really does look like an excellent soul!” Baphomet couldn’t help but say, as a goat-like phantom appeared in his hand and pushed it toward Jose.
In a flash, the phantom of the goat possessed Jose, causing his originally weak body to burst forth with light and suddenly become strong, displaying a desire for "anger".
That pure anger and hatred caused the power he should have forgotten to return to him under the catalysis of this power.
As the Brick Inscription Magic and the Authority of the Future arrived one by one, the demonic power bestowed upon Baphomet also fully manifested, giving his body, which was originally just a minor demon, curved horns, huge hooves, and a pair of wings!
"Your Majesty's judgment is as sharp as ever!" Cain exclaimed. "He already possesses the power of a low-level demon from hell!"
Lucifer nodded in satisfaction. "Hmm... he's starting to look more like a Solomon Archbishop!"
Upon hearing this, Jose's previously confused mind seemed to have gained some clarity!
PS: The wrath of the Seven Deadly Sins actually originates from the demon king Samael, but the difference between beings of this level is not that great.
Baphomet should be classified as an evil god in mythology, but since he went to hell, it's not wrong to call him a demon. Let's just consider him a product of hell.
PS2: One more chapter is being written.
