From the God of Lies to the Lord of All Worlds

Chapter 261 The Buddhist Disciples on the Journey

Chapter 261 The Buddhist Disciples on the Journey

The two soldiers were standard Kachin people, the same ethnic group that had been in rebellion for sixty years, fighting for sixty years, and with the help of Western powers such as Britain and the United States, converted to Christianity and chose to fight the military government to the end.

Anyone with eyes to see knows that any force in this world that can sustain resistance under official suppression must have external assistance, unless that official is truly unpopular.

The Kachin Army is clearly the former. They believe in God, rely on the Vatican, and receive aid from the West. They have stubbornly established themselves in this region and recently even caused the Burmese military government to be in complete disarray!
Their strength is built on external aid, and of course, on racial hatred—it is an organization built on hatred, and of course, an organization maintained by hatred.

Therefore, amidst the intertwining of hatred, primal killing ensues.

The girl's parents died in the same way, but were those two soldiers truly evil? It's hard to say.

Because in their memories, their childhood family members seemed to have died in the same way, at the hands of the government army.

From this perspective, their hatred seems quite logical, since the so-called resolution of revenge is mostly just because one is not involved in the situation.

If your entire family was murdered, and someone advised you that "an eye for an eye only leads to more eye-opening revenge," would you think that's the right thing to do?
How can it be!

“Amitabha, there must be a reason for everything, but is it right for you to kill her?” Min Ang’s chanting of the Buddha’s name made the two people who had expressed their hatred suddenly open their eyes, and their words were full of firmness and ruthlessness.

“Of course they’re right!” they said. “They’re the ones who killed our families and made the world like this. If we could kill them all, none of this would have happened.”

"Yes! We must kill them, just as they killed our own family! Kill them all! Kill them all!" A frenzied rage erupted before their eyes!

Only after these words were spoken and these actions were taken did Min Ang truly sigh, "Alas! This is not your fault!"

He knew that the reason these two people had such a perception was because they had never been to school, but had only struggled and grown up in the face of death. They had no morals, no knowledge, and were left with only the most basic hatred.

Hatred helped them grow, hatred allowed them to survive, and hatred also distorted them into what they are today!

"In this world, one should not stop resentment with resentment, but only with forbearance. This is the constant law of the ancient sages."

The victor breeds resentment, the loser despises himself. Let go of the desire to win or lose, and you will find peace in the absence of contention.

Min Ang chanted Buddhist scriptures, which slowly dissolved the hatred in their hearts, allowing them to calm down from endless resentment.

Then, he slowly placed a wisp of light on their foreheads.

“The ignorant do not seek understanding, nor do they walk alone; they are left only with greed, anger, delusion, hatred, and resentment!” he said slowly, then slowly raised his hand. “My Buddha is merciful; let me show you what the truth is!”

This is a flash of wisdom that makes people appear intelligent, and through this flash of wisdom, they can truly feel the importance of reason!
Then, a glimmer of light appeared in his hand again, which he touched on the two of them, making them seem to see a distant, bygone past:

That was everything that happened decades ago, in that tragedy that is so vividly clear in their lives!
A group of vicious soldiers broke into their home, killed their parents, and burned everything in the house.

Next, a group of "instructors" from their memories walked in, took them away, and led them into the military camp to live and train, until now.

This is what actually happened, but in this scene, they saw something they didn't know.

Shortly after leaving, those vicious thugs removed their masks, put on another set of clothes, and returned to the house, revealing kind expressions.

Their words were like the whispers of demons, terrifying: "Do you see them, children? Those are the wicked guys who killed your parents. Grow up well and kill them!"

Once the children were asleep, the "instructors" reverted to their true colors.

They drank, sang, and made a ruckus in the barracks, spreading their story: "That's how it should be, kill their parents, leave their children alive, and transfer their hatred!"

"In this way, we not only solved the food crisis, but also obtained the best soldiers!"

"Hahaha! Our business is a success!"

There were no other emotions in their eyes, only appreciation for what they had done!
As the scene receded, the two once unruly soldiers were left with only a deep sense of confusion in their eyes.

“I should know, I should have known… Yes, with all their actions, their undisguised malice, why do I just feel that what they said is right?” One man suddenly knelt down, pounding the ground as he spoke.

These images actually appeared in a corner of his memory, but he was blinded and brainwashed by those declarations, and never doubted these people.

Now, with his mind clear and unobstructed, he seems to have become much smarter, and the truths have naturally come to light in his heart.

Now they know that the real culprits were never the opposing groups, but these ambitious individuals...

These people are inciting hatred, which is why they have fallen into this dangerous situation!
This is the source of the power of Buddhism. They talk about "self-growth" and "self-practice of the Dharma." If one attains enlightenment on one's own, the Dharma will be accomplished instantly!

It was under this attitude that Min Ang completed his self-enlightenment and growth, and his own special "supernatural power" truly appeared in him.

This special "time travel" is one of the external manifestations of supernatural powers. In Buddhism, there is even a special term to describe this ability: "the power of knowing past lives"!
"This is hatred! It blinds your hearts and leads you to slaughter. You have long been trapped in endless sins!" Min Ang's words made the two originally arrogant soldiers bow down and be converted.

"Venerable One, we know we were wrong! Please enlighten us, Venerable One, and tell us what we should do!"

The two men moved in unison, a gesture of genuine reverence and worship upon witnessing something extraordinary.

They had not studied these things, so they were ignorant, and it was precisely because of this ignorance that they held these extraordinary sights and legendary things in even higher esteem.

“Alas! The world is foolish, and you are filled with resentment! This is not good!” Min Ang said with a sigh. “Follow me, and I will lead you to resolve your grudges and release you from your suffering!”

He could sense that the two men's respect for him was genuine, but so was the hatred they couldn't suppress in their hearts—this was the feeling of being consumed by five poisons.

"Venerable One, is this the suffering of all beings?" That completely irrepressible understanding of Buddhism and practice gradually emerged from Min Ang's heart and completely transformed into his understanding and enlightenment.

Min Ang himself didn't know that, despite studying Theravada Buddhism, he suddenly realized a special feeling—compassion for all people and compassion for the world!

Perhaps, many years later, he will see the true description of this emotion, or rather, the true understanding, in Mahayana Buddhist scriptures. This is—the awakened being.

Of course, he didn't have time to think about these things right now, because he was thinking about the future of the two of them.

Finally, he stood up again, "Let's go, let's go! All suffering must eventually be resolved!"

He understood that all paths are forms of spiritual practice. Even the Buddha himself traveled to different places to practice, so how could he avoid such things?

He walked forward, and two soldiers followed behind him.

And this journey involves the "resolution" and dependence of the entire road.

Along the way, there were many soldiers like them, all of whom were representatives of deception and hatred, and they were all subdued by Min Ang.

The explanations from the two soldiers behind Min Ang, the monk's dignified and profound demeanor, and the "miracle" of his every move that seemed to spark inspiration, all made them worship him!

After all, this is a country where Buddhism has spread. Even if they believe in other things, it cannot conceal the influence of thousands of years of culture.

Therefore, everyone followed behind Min Ang, wanting to see what kind of demeanor this master had, what the situation was like, and what he planned to do!
The traveler walks a thousand miles, yet his body remains unchanged.

The Buddhist monks walked along the road, followed by a group of soldiers, all with their heads bowed and eyes lowered.

In the eyes of the sentry soldiers, this was truly "outrageous." What did a monk want to do by bringing so many people here?
Could it be that someone from some powerful temple paid money to come here, claim territory, and become a king?
So they hurriedly ran to tell the owner of the place that the monk had really come to their door!
Behind him, more than a hundred soldiers, are the absolute proof!

However, just when Dakan, the military leader, thought he wouldn't receive any worse news, bad news came again!
"Boss, news has come from the west: a group of people dressed in priestly robes are attacking!"

"Huh?" The Dakan people were dumbfounded. There was more?
P.S.: Still four updates today. I slept for eight hours last night and feel great! But the fourth update will be a little late because my sister is starting school and I'm taking her shopping. Sorry!
