From the God of Lies to the Lord of All Worlds
Chapter 25 The Demon's Taunt
Chapter 25 The Demon's Taunt
"Ah! I'm on fire!" someone shouted, but no one paid him any attention, because more people were shouting along with him.
All members of the Garden Church were engulfed in flames, a truly terrifying sight!
However, although the flames burned their bodies, these people did not feel any pain.
It's like... these flames, they don't hurt.
There was no pain whatsoever; it was as if I was just burning!
Although it didn't hurt, the burning continued, and soon someone discovered where they were burning!
Those were their bodies; their arms and legs became fuel for the flames. They were melting away in the flames, like candles!
Priests, monks, priests, and nuns—regardless of gender or social status—were all burning with equal fervor at that moment.
There is no pain, but panic cannot be faked; fear and dread from the depths of the soul begin to emerge!
They screamed in horror the moment they saw themselves melting!
"You are not the judge; you have no right to judge us!"
"You are not an angel, you are Lucifer's accomplice!"
"Please save us! Please save us! We're innocent, we just... made a small mistake!"
Unable to accept this situation, they could only shout loudly, seemingly trying to prove their innocence!
Some people braved the flames and came to Father Angus's side.
The church's poor secrecy and the other party's behavior just now have already proven that this priest is special and extraordinary.
They pinned their hopes on this priest with extraordinary powers, hoping he could save their lives!
“Father Bennett, he must be a fake angel, right?” someone asked hopefully, holding up his arm, which was half melted.
“Angus! We’re classmates! Help me!” someone shouted.
Another priest knelt down before Angus, pleading, "Save me! I know I've made a mistake, and I'll spend the rest of my life repenting. Please save me!"
Their bodies were engulfed in white flames, causing the surrounding police to turn away and avoid their path.
They dared not touch the white flames and could only watch as the people burned.
Angus Bennett looked at his former colleagues and classmates and felt nothing but mockery.
He certainly couldn't believe Gabriel was fake, because the other was someone who had emerged from his own cross!
That sacred feeling, that unique experience, and that ultimate awe all told him that this was real!
Then there is only one possibility left: these people in front of us have really done countless evil things that have even enraged Gabriel!
He even went so far as to satisfy Lucifer in order to carry out the judgment!
Listen to those pronouncements, look at those suffering people!
In those scenes, everyone in the church was involved to some extent, which is why the angels were so angry.
Angus didn't tolerate them at all and said directly, "Say it again in front of me, have you ever made such a mistake?"
Upon hearing this, they shook their heads frantically, "No! No! This devil forced it on us, we never did it!"
“You guys are really… unrepentant!” Angus understood. These people didn’t know they were wrong at all; they just knew they were going to die.
Given even the slightest hope, they would choose to stubbornly resist rather than tell the truth.
Seeing Angus's silent expression, the men became enraged: "You won't help us? Then let's all die together!"
They lunged at Angus, trying to draw the flames from their bodies onto him.
Angus remained motionless, showing no intention of fleeing or resisting, staring at them as if they were a group of dead men.
Even though the flames were already pressed against his body, they did not set him ablaze; instead, they made him appear even calmer.
Angus pushed aside several people, ignoring their actions, and walked through their burning bodies.
“Alas!” Angus looked at them, feeling only pity and regret. “If you had studied the Book of Revelation properly, you would know that the Holy Flame never ignites goodness and justice; it ignites evil and malice!”
"If you have truly committed no grave sins, why would the holy flames burn your bodies and souls?"
He was a devout believer, he had a clear conscience, he was kind and self-disciplined, so how could he be ignited by this fire of punishment?
"Hahahaha!" Lucifer laughed loudly as he watched this scene. "You know what? That's why I said someone helped me kill them!"
"You angels are rigid, outdated, and unambitious. Those who disobey will be executed, those who disobey will be banished, and those who break the prohibitions will be forgiven by mortals. All rebellious ones will be utterly annihilated!" He was a seraphim, and he knew these things better than anyone else.
He gazed at the clergymen screaming in terror under the threat of death, and took out the contract in his hand. "Beautiful, truly beautiful!"
"You hypocritical angels, this day has come too!"
Gabriel raised his hand, and Bishop Ken Burke's body naturally burst into white flames, dripping wax and burning.
Ken Burke is the mastermind and will certainly be punished. As for whether there was a personal grudge involved in igniting the fire, it seems there probably was.
Raising his hand, gazing at the white flames engulfing his body, and glancing at the remaining people present, Lucifer said with a grin, "The contract is complete! Hahahaha... I'm leaving, Gabriel, give my regards to Yahweh!"
The oppressive atmosphere slowly dissipated, leaving only the man standing there.
At that moment, Angus suddenly understood!
No wonder Lucifer came in person, no wonder he was so calm and relaxed!
No wonder he laughed so freely!
He knew all along that this was a scandal within the Vatican, which is why he accepted such a small "contract" and came all this way!
He's here to make a fool of himself! And he specifically wants to embarrass the angels, especially since it's Gabriel who's here now!
The archangel, the seraph, God's second-in-command, was forced to act because of his demonic pact.
This sense of contrast, this feeling of control over heaven and angels, must be the opportunity he has been dreaming of.
Perhaps in the future, he can use this incident to mock Heaven for a thousand years!
Thinking of this, Angus suddenly felt a chill. Angels are generally ruthless, indifferent, and decisive, just like those described in the Bible. So how would the angels view the earthly church that caused them such a great loss?
Suddenly, Ken Burke let out a terrifying scream. He opened his eyes and stared at the flames engulfing his body. "What...what's going on? What happened to me? Help! Help me!"
Through this scene, the onlookers understood.
Lucifer is gone; only Ken Burke remains.
The punishment has begun, and there is no going back.
The chubby bishop, along with his men, was slowly burning in the flames of punishment.
Meanwhile, in mid-air, the contract that Lucifer had overlooked emitted a sigh that sounded like satisfaction, and a peculiar evil spirit rose up!
She was a haggard woman who stared at the bishop before her, and spoke in a voice that seemed to say, "Ken Burke, you raped my daughter, had my husband murdered, and stole our family's money..."
"I feigned madness for ten years to survive! Thankfully... Lord Lucifer answered my call, you're doomed!"
Her voice wasn't loud, nor did it have a hysterical quality; instead, it sounded quite calm. "Come to hell with me! I'll be waiting for you there!"
But it was this profound tranquility that caused Ken Burke to completely break down!
“I don’t know you! You’re slandering me!” He looked at Angus, seemingly trying to prove his innocence. “I didn’t do such a thing. She’s an evil person. She must be the one who turned me into this! Quick, Angus, purify her!”
Angus shook his head and looked at Gabriel beside him. "Your Majesty, what should we do now?"
Gabriel looked at Angus and nodded gently. "You are good, a true servant of the Lord. Do what you think is right, for the Lord is watching you!"
After speaking, the angel tapped the crystal on its chest, and the light of the cross spread out, then transformed back into a silver cross, which flew into Angus's hand.
"You shall handle the rest and warn everyone that every sinner shall have a final punishment!"
The next second, Caroline lay down on a chair nearby, and the archangel hurriedly left.
The evil spirit that bound the contract and the woman dragged Ken Burke, who had been scorched to a little wax, and all the clergy around him who had been set ablaze, into ashes!
The verdict was handed down, and the case was closed.
"Bang!" The door was flung open by people outside, and sunlight once again streamed into the chapel.
But now the chapel is filled with corpses and a bunch of police officers. As for the people left in the church, there are only Angus standing and Caroline lying down.
Of all the official clergy in the entire garden church, only one nun remained after her death.
The methods of Heaven are no gentler than those of Hell!
