Chapter 129 The Original Sin of Boarding Schools

Chapter 129 The Original Sin of Boarding Schools

"Drip!" The sound of water droplets falling made Caitlin snuggle into Jeff's arms once again, making Drake secretly envious.

He certainly liked blonde, blue-eyed, big-breasted girls; that was the ultimate aesthetic for the Golden-haired Commander. But unfortunately, he was just a newcomer with no money, so he naturally had no way to attract her attention.

This made him even more determined to seize the opportunity, and he took the lead in rushing into the teaching building, wanting to find out what he thought was "ominous".

This is actually part of the live streaming plan. The company sent people here in advance to place some mechanisms or information for the streamers to solve, making the live streaming atmosphere more intense.

This is all normal practice. The only unusual thing is that they specifically got Jeff, a rising star, to endorse it, deceiving the audience into believing it was true.

As they delved deeper, elements of American horror began to emerge one by one:

For example, the bloody handprints on the podium, the water flowing in the corridor, the shadows that suddenly appeared in the last room...

These are all perfectly normal phenomena, making the female anchor scream, the male anchor tremble with fear, and the audience feel as if they are there, enjoying the show immensely!

Jeff was also very pleased; the debut was a great success, and the mysterious atmosphere of the place gave the audience a wonderful experience.

But as he took the live stream footage and comments from his assistant, he suddenly frowned.

Because someone was spamming the comments section, saying, "Streamer, look behind you! Look!"

This person posted dozens of comments, covering up many other people's comments.

Jeff frowned and said, "Don't send useless messages in the live stream, or I'll ban your account. Isn't there just a wall in the background? What's so interesting about that..."

As he said this, he couldn't help but turn around to see what was behind him.

They are currently resting in a room, holding some "clues" and speculating about a cliché horror story that has taken place here, so there is only a wall behind them.

But as he turned around, lines of bright red characters gradually appeared on the wall:
Those were strange and complex symbols that none of the people present could understand, but a chilling feeling that penetrated to the bone emanated from his body.

Because, with the appearance of these red characters, a small, thin, and very eerie figure appeared before them.

This is a girl, wearing a Victorian-style dress, who should be a lovely girl—if only her face weren't blurred, her arms weren't folded in a bizarre way, and her legs weren't amputated in half!
"My hair? My God! What are you?!" Catherine's scream rang out again, but this time it wasn't an act, it was real!

Jeff looked at the girl, then turned to his assistant and asked, "Is there such a scene in our script?"

"No, Mr. Jeff! There can't be such a passage!" The assistant had thoroughly examined the script in his hand, but he couldn't find any such record.

Jeff took a deep breath. "Come to think of it, I'm really lucky. I've run into another particularly mysterious situation, haven't I?"

Upon hearing this, Drake asked in surprise, "Is it really mysterious? Could it be a surprise? Like a brand new opportunity the company is offering us or something..."

As he spoke, wanting to show off, he walked up to the girl and said, "This little girl's model is quite well made..."

Jeff was startled by his completely indifferent expression. "Don't move, Drake!"

"You're such a coward, Jeff!" Drake seemed to be immersed in his "persona," where he had just been the "powerhouse" who could kill anyone, and he didn't think it was anything special.

Moreover, Jeff's concerns made him feel that this was an opportunity, a chance to "slap the face" of the big streamer and get his face shown in the live broadcast room!
He reached out his hand, wanting to touch the other person's face!

Jeff watched in disbelief. How could he dare to do such a thing? To deliberately offend someone in a place where mysterious events had already occurred?
Do people who have never personally experienced extraordinary events truly lack any awe or reverence for the extraordinary?

"Ah!" A shrill scream echoed in the room, followed by Caitlin's scream.

The cameras in the photographers' hands all flew out of their hands at that moment, leaving the audience with only a fleeting glimpse of red.

The only shot that hasn't changed much is the action camera on Jeff's chest.

In this scene, they saw Drake's horrific condition:

The man's hand was snapped by a terrifying force just before it touched the girl's face!

It's not a simple bend, but a pure, folding motion, like folding clothes!

The outstretched arm was folded into a ball and placed on his shoulder. Not a drop of blood flowed, nor was there anything strange or unnatural about it; it was as if his arm was meant to be that long.

The previous contempt had vanished from Drake's eyes, replaced by boundless fear. "She...she's a monster! She...she's not right!"

This man had long lost his former tough-guy image, leaving only an endless ugliness. "Didn't you bring guns? Hurry up and do it!"

"Nobody is allowed to lay a hand on me!" Jeff roared, glaring at Drake. "Didn't I just warn you not to move?"

As a top streamer, he still had considerable influence. With just one sentence, he intimidated everyone in front of him, causing them to lower their heads in fear of being targeted by him.

Then, he looked at the girl in front of him and said, "Respected... Unknown One, may I ask what you want us to do by appearing here?"

This attitude caused the girl, who had been indifferent, to raise her head slightly, her bloodied and mangled face seemingly scrutinizing him.

"I am not an unknown one, I am just a lonely wandering soul..." the girl suddenly said, "Traveler of Heaven, can you lend me a hand?"

The group exchanged glances, all looking at Jeff, afraid that he might suddenly say "I don't want to" and then be buried alive with them.

“Okay!” Jeff nodded. “What do you want us to do?”

The girl raised her head, staring at the ceiling. "I hope you can help me down! My body is incomplete; I can't traverse the nine levels of hell to reach Miktland..."

Everyone looked up and saw a human-shaped shadow on the gray ceiling, lying there eerily, as if it had been printed out.

Upon hearing this, Jeff didn't hesitate. He grabbed a chair from the side and poked it into the low ceiling. A stone slab shattered, and a small body fell down.

The moment it hit them, Caitlin let out another loud scream, but she didn't jump into Jeff's arms, which showed that she was truly scared.

It was a skeleton, but anyone could see how strange it was.

This is the body of a child who was only eight years old, but he didn't even have a lower leg or a foot, only the thigh bone remained.

The bones in the arm were broken and lay on the shoulder, and most of the bones in this body were in a fractured state.

It seems she suffered inhuman torment before her death.

Looking at the skeleton and then at the "girl" in front of them, everyone present and those in the live stream felt an indescribable sense of oppression.

“This is my body. Thank you so much, sir!” the girl said softly. “Then… could you please help us?”

After she finished speaking, the same sentence suddenly echoed throughout the room:

Can you help us?

Countless childish voices rang out at the same time, and many "children" crawled out from inside the wall, facing the crowd.

Some of them were bent over, some had their heads twisted to one side, some were covered in blood, and some only had one hand and one foot left...

They were all abnormal people, exuding a sinister and eerie aura, who slowly appeared and stood in front of them.

Can you help us?

They asked again, now everyone knows they are ghosts, but the chill in everyone's hearts doesn't come from that fact, but from the appearance of these people...

"Their state at the time of death is the same as their current state, so they all died like this?" Jeff murmured. "But...but...but this is a school, and these are children!"

These are children, a group of children who may not even be ten years old, yet they have no normal place at all. Even if they are Native American children, they are still children!

He felt his heart was about to stop beating; he felt completely overwhelmed by the situation!
In this country where child protection laws are incredibly stringent and child offenders hold the lowest social status in prisons, seeing such a group of children doesn't instill fear in anyone; instead, it fills them with a strange, inexplicable anger!

"Help! I'll help! Don't say anything, I'll help them one by one!" Jeff said, his whole body trembling. "Take it slow, we'll do it little by little..."
