Chapter 51 Emergency UN General Assembly Convenes
The next day, the United Nations General Assembly convened on schedule.
A total of 122 countries participated in this emergency UN meeting. Except for Azania, which was boycotted due to apartheid issues, all other member states were present.
"It is a pity that President Ferdinand was not present in person; he must be going through a very difficult time right now."
Arafat's leader said, "Please convey my message that I hope he takes good care of himself."
Masr's Vice President Dulewa nodded: "I will convey to His Excellency the President that God protects us."
"God is the greatest."
Twenty-two Arab countries attended the meeting, including eleven sovereign states that were the main warring parties and indirectly or directly involved in the war, such as Masr, Surya, Hashim, Al-Iraq, and Shuangji. They chose to strongly condemn Zion's acts of aggression.
Arab countries like Lahuaa (Yemen), which already had grievances with Masr before the war, chose to remain silent.
“The Carthaginian foreign minister sent people to us yesterday to negotiate, hoping that we would recognize Zion’s national sovereignty in exchange for peace in the Arab region.”
Al-Iraq's Ba'ath Party leader, Kozonie, who had worked in the Cairo branch, sneered: "They seem to think that Zion cannot be destroyed by war. In my opinion, Habib (the Carthaginian president) is a pragmatic man, but perhaps too pragmatic."
“War is war, and evil can never be excused by any other excuse.” Duleva pushed up his glasses: “However, his ‘moderation’ will attract many small countries to join, as well as swing voters like Lahuaa.”
Fortunately, Ant is on our side, and with the addition of Seris, who has always advocated for peace, we have at least secured the support of two of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Carthage, located north of Zion, borders Algeria to the west and Surria to the east.
As a small country, Carthage could not afford the economic sanctions or military repercussions of a prolonged war. To preserve its sovereignty, seeking peace was the only option.
The Arab leaders tacitly avoided mentioning any particular major power.
After World War II, the world entered an era of peace as desired, but this was followed by the confrontation between two major ideologies, which gradually evolved into political and military confrontation.
In short, once Ant takes sides, the United States will most likely be on the opposite side.
Furthermore, the United States has indeed taken many outrageous actions over the past two decades, such as instigating the Greek Civil War, the Korean War, attempting to overthrow the democratic elections in Guatemala, militarily intervening in the internal affairs of Carthage, and supporting a puppet government in the Dominican Republic.
This has led many Arab leaders to lack confidence in the United States.
"I hope justice will be on our side." Prince Idris of Lirvia rubbed his tired temples. "I just hope all this will end soon, and the Arab world can get back on track. The people of the Middle East have already made too many sacrifices."
They need rest and recuperation more than ever.

"Bang, bang, bang!"
The UN President struck the gavel in solemn silence, his tone grave:
"Distinguished delegates, we are gathered here today to face a Middle East that has been completely transformed by the Fourteen Days' War."
Zion's military operations have redrawn the map of the region and severely damaged the cornerstones of the international order.
The UN Charter prohibits the use of force to seize territory, and today we stand at the crossroads of war and peace.
The mission of this emergency special meeting is clear: first, to ensure that the ceasefire established in Resolution 242 is maintained; second, to demand that all troops withdraw from the pre-war lines; and third, to establish a framework for lasting peace in the Middle East.
However, I must remind everyone that the credibility of the United Nations is in grave danger. (Many are glancing towards the United States.)
Now, let's hear from Representative Masr first. As the senior member of the Arab League, Vice President Duleva stood up and began his speech in a somber tone: "Four weeks ago, Zion's tanks rolled across international borders, occupied the Sinai Peninsula, and bombed our cities. This was a blatant act of aggression!"
If even such military expansion can be tolerated, then what security do member states of the United Nations have?
We demand that Zion withdraw its troops immediately and unconditionally. The Arab world will never accept such robber logic!
Simultaneous interpretation began through the headsets of the representatives from various countries. Duleva took his seat, and then the UN President turned his gaze to the representative of Zion, Prime Minister Albert Maimonides.
This was also the first time Lu Lin had met the mastermind behind the war. The man had white hair, sharp eyes, and was dressed in a sharp suit.
"Where was the United Nations when Masr blocked the Strait of Tiran, cutting off our shipping lifeline; when Suriya artillery shelled our villages from the Golan Heights; when the Arab coalition surrounded us on three sides, threatening to 'push Zion into the Mediterranean'?"
Albert's remarks, which directly targeted the United Nations, caused an uproar in the room.
The old man continued, “We will never go back to that state of being besieged on three sides at any time. The ceasefire line before 1387 was a suicide line. If the Arabs want peace, they must first recognize Zion’s right to exist.”
Thirty years ago, we were slaughtered overnight by the Prosenians, who massacred millions of unarmed civilians. Today, we will not allow history to repeat itself on this land.
Duller immediately retorted, "The Strait of Tiran belongs to Masr, and we have the right to decide whether to open the waterway!"
Albert: "According to UN Resolution 95, the Strait of Tiran is clearly recognized as an international waterway, but Masr unilaterally declared a blockade, cutting off our only shipping route in the Red Sea. I believe this is an undeniable act of war."
"And what about the Golan Heights?" The Surria representative roared in anger, slamming his fist on the table. "Your bulldozers have already established settlements on our land! Is this your so-called self-defense?"
Albert produced a copy of the United Nations' resolution on the partition of Zion and Arafat: "Nineteen years ago, the establishment of Zion was recognized by the United Nations. It was the Arab coalition that rejected the UN partition plan and launched a war in an attempt to destroy us."
Eleven months ago, Surya's forces shelled the village of Garcia, north of Zion, from the Golan Heights, killing eleven civilians, and the United Nations did nothing during this time.
We're just trying to survive, nothing more.
“Survival?” Ant’s representative, Gromyko, interrupted, “The territory you occupy now is more than ten times the size it was before the war! If this is what you call ‘survival,’ then the Prosenians also waged war for ‘survival’ back then?”
As the conversation veered off course, the UN President brought down the gavel, frowning, and said, "Please remain calm."
The representative of the United Kingdom coughed: "Perhaps we could first establish a demilitarized zone, overseen by the United Nations..."
Seeing that the United Kingdom, which had been silent all along, finally spoke, the Hashem representative seized the opportunity to counterattack: "Like the Second Middle East War? You wait until you've helped Zion digest the spoils of war before you hypocritically send peacekeeping troops?"
Suddenly, Arafat's representative stood up, ripped open his camouflage uniform, revealing a chest riddled with bullet holes: "Look at the gift Zion gave to the Arafat people! They drove us out of the land where we have lived for generations and relegated Arafat to the status of 'second-class citizens.' My parents died tragically in Deir Yassin village because they resisted them!"
The guards hurriedly tried to stop them, but the representative's roar still echoed: "You keep saying you're the victims, but what's the difference between Zion now and the Proson Empire twenty years ago!"
Albert said expressionlessly, "If scars can serve as evidence, then deserters are the best witnesses."
Suddenly, a scream came from the back row of the Zion delegation. An Arab journalist threw an ink bottle at Albert.
As the guards rushed forward, the Carthaginian representative seized the opportunity to swing his chair and smash it against the electronic voting screen.
The shouts of "Allahu Akbar!" mingled with Hebrew curses.
The chairman pounded his gavel furiously: "Adjourn! Adjourn immediately!"
