Chapter 84 The Sudden Turmoil

Third floor of Goya Bathhouse
"Mr. Will, this feels so good. I feel my body is relaxing."

Lying flat on the soft bed, enjoying a head massage, Haven looked completely relaxed and answered with his eyes closed:
"Of course! Let me tell you, I saw it in a book, probably written by an alchemist. It said that the human body has a dense network of blood vessels, and our magic and fighting spirit circulate through these vessels. I've heard that some very ancient schools of thought enhance bodily perception by stimulating these blood vessels."

“Mr. Will, you are truly learned.”

"Don't worry, don't worry, these are nothing. You'll be fine once you study more in the future."

Just as Haven was about to say a few more words, he suddenly heard a few muffled thuds, followed by a shaking, and the lights hanging from the ceiling swayed back and forth.

"An earthquake??"

Seeing the scene before him, Haven immediately jumped off the bed and pulled Lori, who was still sitting on the bed in a daze, down with him.

"What's wrong with Mr. Will?"

Lori was a little confused by Havent's sudden action.

"Shh~ It sounds like an earthquake. Get dressed, get dressed."

Just as the two of them hurriedly finished dressing, the shaking subsided. Haven looked at the chandelier, which was no longer swaying, and felt a little puzzled. He tightened his belt, walked to the window, and peeked out.

"Holy crap, what happened?"

An hour ago on the other side.

"Captain Talley, Captain Talley, it's alright, it's alright, I've lit a fire, someone should notice soon."

Seeing the other party running over shouting and making no attempt to hide, the man called Captain Tale tied him up and slapped him on the back of the head.

"Keep your voice down. We're on a secret mission. If you ruin Lord Kubas's plans, I'll hang you up and beat you. You're so clumsy and don't know how to change."

The masked youth who had been patted rubbed his head and gave an awkward smile.

"Alright, alright, someone's coming, someone's coming."

As a wooden house not far from Benjamin's body caught fire, the townspeople inside quickly realized something was wrong, and a shirtless man rushed out in a panic.

"Damn it. How did it catch fire?"

While cursing and swearing, he carried the wooden bucket out. He had only taken a few steps when he suddenly noticed Benjamin lying in a pool of blood. Because it was already dark, the naked man did not see him clearly and walked over with the bucket.

"Damn it, who's drunk and lying here? Get up, get up! It's on fire! It'll collapse and burn you to death..."

Holy crap!!! Murder! Murder!

As the naked man screamed, the townspeople, who had been drawn out by the fire, quickly gathered around. Some of the bolder townspeople turned the body over and, using the flames nearby, were able to see the deceased's face clearly.

"Hiss!!!! It's Benjamin! Blood Blade Ben!!!"

"My God, I saw him gambling this afternoon, and it was clanging around. Who killed him? Tsk tsk, that's really ruthless."

“Hey, old Ron, don’t you know Captain Anda? Go tell him that his wife’s brother has been murdered.”

The old man, known as Old Ron, squatted down and reached out to touch Benjamin's face. The icy touch made him curse under his breath.
"Pah, that damn idiot, he never knows how to restrain himself, and now he's fallen for it. I'll leave you all here to keep an eye on things, I'll be right back." After watching old Ron's departing figure, the group hurriedly put out the fire and then chatted around Benjamin's body again.

A dozen minutes later, Captain Anda arrived in the alley with a dozen men. Looking at Benjamin lying in a pool of blood, his face already turning blue, Captain Anda felt a dull ache in his temples. This guy who was always causing him trouble had finally met his end. Suppressing his frustration, he asked the surrounding crowd:
"Who discovered it first?"

Under Captain Anda's questioning gaze, the shirtless man stepped out from the crowd.

"Yes, sir. I was sleeping when I suddenly smelled smoke. I went out to check and saw that the wooden house over there was on fire. Just as I grabbed a bucket to put out the fire, I found someone lying on the ground..."

Just as Captain Anda was about to ask about the specifics, several muffled explosions from afar interrupted his thoughts. After a moment, the security captain immediately realized something was wrong and quickly jumped onto a nearby rooftop to observe.

Several places in the town were engulfed in flames. Seeing the scene before him, Anda's heart sank and a chill ran down his spine.

“Damn it, you two, look at Benjamin’s body. The rest of you, come back to the barracks with me and sound the alarm, sound the alarm.”

Just as Anda finished giving the order and was about to jump off the house and return with his guards, a sharp sword aura slashed over. Reacting quickly, Captain Anda drew his sword from his waist and also swiftly unleashed a sword aura.

The two sword energies collided with a piercing explosion and dissipated in mid-air. Anda looked sharply at the direction from which the sword energies had flown.

"who!"

At Anda's question, a masked man wearing black leather armor stood up from a rooftop not far away.

"Captain Anda, I've heard so much about you. It wasn't easy to get you here. You can't just go back like this."

Captain Anda narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at the masked man wielding a long sword.

"Who are you? Did you kill Benjamin?"

"I can't tell you who I am right now, but I didn't kill the dead man on the ground. I originally planned to kill him to lure you here, but it seems his subordinates betrayed him, so I don't have to do it myself."

However, Captain Anda clearly did not believe what the masked man said, and he became anxious as he watched the fire in the distance grow bigger and bigger.

"Captain Anda, stop looking. Why don't you just wait here quietly for an hour tonight, and I guarantee you'll be safe and sound."

Seeing the masked man blocking his way, Anda raised an eyebrow and quickly unleashed two sword strikes, intending to break through. However, the masked man had anticipated this and dodged the sword strikes before blocking Anda's way again.

“Captain Anda, I respect your past. Why bother? Just listen to me, and I guarantee you won’t be hurt. This will all be over soon.”

Seeing the masked man's increasingly strange behavior, Anda asked in confusion:

"you know me?"

Seeing Anda's puzzled expression, the masked man offered no explanation, but simply stood quietly in front of him, preventing the security captain from passing.

"I don't care who you are, I don't have time to play with you right now. Get out of the way, or I'll get rough."

Seeing that the other party remained unmoved, Captain Anda shouted loudly, and his battle aura instantly surged forth, enveloping his entire body. With the support of his battle aura, he swiftly lunged forward and thrust at the masked man. The moment Anda launched his attack, the masked man also unleashed a powerful battle aura, and with a diagonal slash, he knocked Captain Anda's longsword away.

"This is... Imperial army standard swordsmanship?! You're a rebel from Windhelm City!!!"
