Seeing the innkeeper's awkward and timid appearance, Benjamin felt a tingling sensation shoot from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. The pleasure made Benjamin groan involuntarily, which lessened the anger that had been building up in his chest. He let out a wanton laugh and continued:

"Fine, if you won't admit it, that's fine. But what about the fact that my men were beaten up when they were about to dine at your restaurant?"

"This! This! This!"

Seeing the innkeeper's stammering, Benjamin, as if his scheme had succeeded, walked up to the innkeeper and patted him on the shoulder.

"This must have happened in your shop, right? Here's what we'll do: just tell me who injured my man, and I'll go find him. After all, we're from the same town, so I can't really make you pay for it."

Benjamin put his arm around the hotel owner's neck, and the two acted like old friends.

Realizing something was amiss, he scratched his head, gave Benjamin an awkward smile, and began again:
"No, boss, I mean he's talking nonsense. This old bastard is lying to you. I saw those people as soon as I came in. They're right there, right there."

After saying that, he pointed to the spot where Haven and the others were sitting.

Benjamin paused for a moment when he heard his underling's words, then stared intently at Gian as if he were an idiot.

Seeing that everyone in the hotel lobby was looking at him, he had no choice but to let go of the hotel owner's neck. He gritted his teeth and slapped Angie's neck a few times in exasperation. Angie, who was slapped a few times by Benjamin, was not quite sure what was wrong with his boss. He obediently followed behind Benjamin.
