Chapter 39 Halloween

October 10st, Halloween Eve.

Hogwarts Castle was dressed up in a Halloween theme. The torches on both sides of the corridor were covered with pumpkin lanterns. The house-elves began preparing for the dinner early in the morning, and the air was filled with a sweet and tempting pumpkin scent.

Gryffindor and Hufflepuff first years are learning the Levitation Charm.

Professor Flitwick spent the first half of the class explaining the theory of the Levitation Charm, including its origins, the evolution of the spell, the casting motions, and classic examples of spell casting errors. In the second half, he distributed feathers as teaching aids, allowing students to practice casting spells on their own.
