“When Maitreya renounced the world at midnight, he attained the supreme path that very night. At that time, the three thousand great thousand worlds trembled six times, and the earth gods told one another: ‘Maitreya has now become a Buddha.’ They went to the palace of the Four Heavenly Kings and heard: ‘Maitreya has attained the Buddha’s path.’ They went on to hear it in the Thirty-Three Heavens, the Radiant Heaven, the Tusita Heaven, the Nirmanarati Heaven, and the Paranirmitavasavartin Heaven.”

"—The Śrāvakas relayed the message to Brahma: 'Maitreya has attained Buddhahood.'"

Then, Sudhana and the 84,000 people went up to the Buddha and asked to be ordained, to cultivate the holy life well, and to attain the path of Arhatship."

"At that time, Maitreya first convened, and 84,000 people attained Arhatship."

As soon as those words were spoken, half of the Yellow Heaven True Saint Emperor's body instantly rotted away, his skin and flesh turning into pus and blood in an instant, leaving only his stark white bones hanging in the sky.
