Chapter 360 Lan Mo's Visit
Chapter 360 Lan Mo's Visit
The scene shifts, and Su Ming finds himself in a conference room on Earth.
The second phase of the "Pansy" project has been put on the agenda. The relevant technical solutions have been completed by the "Distant Water Fisheries" team and submitted to Su Ming for review.
From a purely technical standpoint, the newly added device features are powerful enough to make anyone drool. But the problem lies in the voluminous and dazzling list of material requirements.
Su Ming couldn't help but sigh, pointing at the list with a helpless tone, "So many strange and varied materials... how am I supposed to collect them all!"
"Just keep trying, boss." Ji Su shrugged, his tone tinged with self-deprecation. "Now, whenever I step out the door, a bunch of people offer me cigarettes and tea, all hoping I can get their new weapons lined up and implemented as soon as possible—you know what? I feel like a eunuch in charge of arranging the emperor's bedchamber!"
"Haha, that's right!" Jin Rongjia laughed without any restraint. "Now everyone calls him 'Grandpa Ji Su' behind his back!"
"What do you mean 'behind the scenes'? It's 'to the face,' okay!" Ji Su said, dissatisfied.
A light shone in the little troublemaker's hand as Su Ming transferred the data card, intending to study it more carefully later.
"You seem to have made considerable progress in building the interdimensional teleportation array to return to Earth, right?" Jin Rongjia suddenly changed the subject.
“That’s right!” Su Ming replied.
Although formal analysis and research have not yet been fully launched, the discovery of the Rift Race ruins will undoubtedly greatly contribute to the reconstruction of the dimensional teleportation array through which Galio traveled to Earth.
“Then…” Jin Rongjia leaned forward slightly, his tone tentative and cautious, “Is it possible… for example… to establish a permanent passage between the two worlds?”
Su Ming's goal was simply to build a teleportation array that would allow him to return to Earth. However, the "dimensional passage" that Jin Rongjia mentioned was not fundamentally different from a teleportation array in essence.
When a dimensional teleportation array can operate stably and continuously, it functions as a dimensional channel.
“I have no plans to establish a permanent connection,” Su Ming replied immediately. “Don’t you think the potential risks of rashly linking two completely different worlds directly are… far too great?”
“That’s true.” Jin Rongjia nodded in understanding, then added, “However, as you know, the unique resources contained in another world may represent a valuable opportunity for us to make a crucial breakthrough.”
“I will try my best to bring back as many valuable samples and data as possible,” Su Ming promised. “If everything goes smoothly—there is still a lot of heavy work to be done.”
"On our side," Jin Rongjia's tone became somewhat subtle, "some people are worried that, after all, you're in another world. If you want to establish some kind of passage, we can't interfere or stop you. In fact, we might have to cooperate?"
Su Ming felt that there was something strange about the tone of his words.
"Don't worry," Su Ming replied, "I would never do something so sinful that could lead to unforeseen disasters!"

After a night's rest, the group began their return journey. Soon after, Su Ming and Zi Jin arrived at the location of Lan Molong's nest—Thousand Blade Dragon Cliff. A massive winged race transport caravan also entered the area in a grand procession. Snow beasts roamed the mountains and plains, dragging hundreds upon hundreds of sleds, creating a spectacular migrating scene.
The Pansy was carrying approximately two thousand tons of supplies, which, according to plan, would remain in this northern Iceland.
The supplies that the Light Fleet had prepared for the Silver Dragon Guard included dragon saliva grass, silver scintillation ore, and frozen sea eagle beast carcasses. After Su Ming seized these supplies, he brought a considerable amount with him.
The massive Saint-rank Blue Dragon Lan Mo couldn't help but drool from its huge snout just by listening to Su Ming describe those temperate "delicacies".
Having lived in the icy Arctic Circle for so many years, Lan Mo's daily diet is extremely monotonous and boring!
"Such a big thing, and you're only telling me now?!" Lan Mo roared in exasperation, his loud voice echoing through Dragon Cliff.
He could no longer contain himself, and disregarding his still-healing wounds, he lowered his body and urged Su Ming to ride on his broad dragon back. Immediately, Lan Mo flapped its wings and took off, eagerly heading straight for the location where the "Pansy" was docked.
The distance wasn't actually that far. Previously, Su Ming and his companions, riding their Frostwolf companions, had only taken an hour. Now, with a dragon, its appetite raging, flying at full speed, they arrived at their destination in just over ten minutes.
Su Ming discovered that riding on the broad back of the blue dragon Lan Mo was much softer and more comfortable than he had expected. Lan Mo's body, covered with thick scales, even during the turbulence of flight, conveyed an unexpectedly elastic and fleshy feel, completely overturning his stereotypical impression that dragons were as hard as iron.
Moreover, Lan Mo's skin radiated warmth continuously and steadily, like an electric blanket. In the cold weather, it gave Su Ming the feeling of traveling in a luxurious first-class cabin.
Although he was on Earth, he had never flown first class.
The Pansy was easy to find. In a vast expanse of white, a dark green crack stretched out, and at the end lay this enormous ship.
The radar array of the Pansy also detected the rapid approach of this behemoth. A piercing alarm sounded, and the entire ship instantly went into highest level of combat alert.
Looking down at his team members who were on high alert, Su Ming nodded in satisfaction. He quickly picked up his communication device, announced his identity, and deactivated the ship's alarm.
"Wow...what a huge ship!" As they approached, Lan Mo looked at the giant ship and couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. "When you said you were getting on the ship, I was worried that I might capsize it. But it's so big! Even if dozens of people like me came, we could still fit them all."
“A bigger boat can hold more,” Su Ming replied with a smile.
Guided by him, Lan Mo landed on the spacious aft deck. The heavy dragon claws slammed onto the deck with a dull thud.
Su Ming couldn't help but feel a little sorry for his deck, but thankfully it could be repaired. In contrast, the Silver Dragon Guards were clearly well-trained, and their landing was much lighter and more graceful.
But thinking about it, it makes sense. Without this kind of training, the Bihai Tanggu would have been riddled with holes and completely damaged long ago.
