Chapter 275 Dungeon Conquest
Chapter 275 Dungeon Conquest
Rewind five minutes to the Shenwei Prison dormitory area.
Stanton hurried back from outside, his face grim as he walked through the lobby.
A staff member saw him and feigned a hesitant expression. Stanton ignored him and walked straight toward the basement.
“Lord Stanton!” The staff member had to muster up the courage to call out to him. “Half an hour ago… three men and one woman entered Priestess Yuya’s room.”
Although there were a lot of people, it wasn't wrong for them to visit each other normally. However, as soon as they entered, they locked the doors tightly, and then all sorts of suggestive noises came out.
And mixed in with the decadent music were dull, clanging sounds. The staff thought to themselves, "We knew they'd have fancy games, but we didn't expect them to be this fancy!"
"boom--!!!"
Four deafening explosions suddenly rang out in the distance, causing the entire building to tremble slightly. To the south, towards the coal mine, a massive cloud of smoke rose into the air like a mushroom, obscuring the sky.
With everyone's attention drawn, Stanton seized the opportunity to flick his finger, and a tiny magic ball silently struck the staff member's neck.
"Uh..." Before the staff member could utter a sound, everything went black, and he collapsed to the ground, limp and weak.
Stanton didn't linger, quickly descending the stairs to the cellar and arriving at Yuya's room. The damp air was thick with the smell of mildew and dust. He placed his hand on the weathered wooden door and communicated via magic: "Yuya, it's me."
The magical barrier on the door flickered faintly and quickly dissipated. Yuya opened the door, revealing a tense face.
Inside the room, the three men and one woman mentioned by the staff were nervously preparing their weapons. They were not members of the Feathered Clan, but rather human spies planted by Catherine, making their final preparations for battle.
The floorboards in the center of the room had been completely removed, revealing a dark, downward-facing hole. This was a passage they had secretly dug over the past few days, using various "movements" as cover.
Yuya placed a trigger-activated bomb behind the door, set a tripwire to detonate it, to prevent any fools from breaking in.
"Boom!" A loud explosion came from overhead, followed by the crisp sound of crystal shattering. From the location of the stone tablet at the core of the formation, a sound of collapse came.
Chaotic and out-of-control magical energy was everywhere in the Divine Might Prison, wandering around like a raging storm.
"They really shattered the 'Holy Antelope Horn'!" Yuya exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with disbelief.
Stanton also looked surprised; this result exceeded his expectations.
What started as an infiltration and sneak attack plan has evolved into a full-scale assault to annihilate the enemy and rescue all the prisoners! Stanton is really curious about Violet and Ainz Ooal Gown's mental state.
Even more alarming, they deliberately provoked the Hui Yong and the choir. According to Su Ming's exact words, "These are formidable enemies; we must drag them out and eliminate them before they escalate!"
Stanton was very confused, but judging from the current situation, they were indeed making smooth progress towards their goals one by one.
****
Four humans were the first to jump into the cave.
Stanton and Yuya waited a while. Only when they heard a muffled thud from below, accompanied by the screams of prisoners and the panicked shouts of the guards, did they exchange a glance and jump into the hole. They slid quickly down the narrow passage and soon entered a dark, damp chamber.
The chamber was originally completely sealed, but now one wall had been blown open, with rubble scattered all over the floor. Stanton nimbly squeezed through the opening and entered the dimly lit dungeon area.
Looking up, the cell doors were wide open, and inside were several bewildered prisoners. In the flickering torchlight, the four who had entered first were already engaged in fierce combat with the jailers.
Without hesitation, Yuya drew her dagger and joined the battle. Stanton raised his hand, a blinding bolt of lightning forming at his fingertips.
"Snapped--!"
The lightning, like a whip of judgment, struck a jailer precisely. Instead of dissipating, it leaped like a living thing to another enemy, continuing its trajectory to form a dazzling chain of lightning, instantly felling several foes. Remarkably, the chain of lightning deftly avoided all its own men.
Chain Lightning - Spirit Leap!
"Yes, it's the Archbishop!" The other jailers retreated in terror, their voices trembling, their eyes filled with fear.
A violent explosion suddenly occurred somewhere diagonally above!
The entire dungeon trembled violently, and the defensive runes on the ceiling shattered instantly, turning into specks of light that dissipated into the air. Cracks spread and climbed across the walls like a spiderweb, and rubble fell down with a clatter.
This underground building, which was still 80% new, was instantly transformed into a Syrian war-damaged structure!
The jailers and Stanton's men were alright, protected by shields or aura. But the prisoners restrained by the restraint rings fared much worse; many of the weaker prisoners were shaken so badly that they vomited blood and groaned in pain.
"Damn it! Is Ainz Ooal Gown here to rescue people or bury them?!" Stanton thought to himself.
He took the opportunity to unleash several more spells, slaughtering some of the jailers and destroying the cell doors, thus organizing the terrified prisoners to move to the inner part of the dungeon and place them under their protection.
Suddenly, with a loud crash, the dungeon door was violently smashed open, the sound of twisting and deforming metal particularly jarring in the confined space. A squad of fully armed Divine Prison Guards rushed in, quickly forming ranks. Leading them was none other than the Divine Prison Guards' captain—Raswag!
He wielded a giant sword, its blade crackling with powerful battle aura, exuding an imposing presence.
Stanton frowned; this was not part of the plan!
Although he was an archbishop, his strength lay in mobility and agile combat, not in head-on confrontations. He could manage to deal with weaker enemies by overwhelming their level, but against a powerful figure like Raswag in the cramped and confined dungeon environment, he had virtually no chance of winning.
Just then, a light blue figure passed through the gate like a ghost, breaking through the interception of several Divine Prison Guards, and instantly appeared less than a meter behind Raswag.
“Iser?!” Raswag’s pupils constricted, and he growled through gritted teeth, his voice filled with disbelief and rage, “Even you are a traitor?!”
He once confessed his love to this beautiful girl and even spent his savings of many years to buy her a precious gift. Although he was rejected, the goddess's gentleness and politeness left a very good impression and memory!
Iser's delicate face remained expressionless as he coldly swung his greatsword.
"Starlight!"
In an instant, the sword light exploded like stars, and the dazzling light swept across the entire dungeon as if day had come!
