Otherworld Bone Dragon Operation Guide
Chapter 17 Hull
Chapter 17 Hull
He looked around and noticed a car full of people parked across from the supermarket.
There weren't many pedestrians around, so it was normal for cars to be parked there, and it wouldn't be surprising if the place was full of people.
What was puzzling was that three of them were hidden inside the car, completely invisible from the outside, while only one person sat in the driver's seat playing on their phone. Su Ming kept his direction unchanged, casually glancing around, and sure enough, he spotted another car with people hidden inside on the other side of the street corner.
Su Ming looked closely and noticed that all of these people were armed.
Police! So fast?
Su Ming was extremely surprised. He couldn't understand how the police could have tracked down the troublemaker so quickly in just a theft case. Were they using some kind of cheat code?
The policeman, engrossed in his phone, glanced up casually at the troublemaker, then paid him no further attention, occasionally glancing at the package instead. The clairvoyant could clearly see this.
The troublemaker's presence at the shipyard must have been obvious, given the abundance of surveillance in modern society. The fact that the other party ignored it suggests that these police officers weren't there because of the theft; they weren't looking for the troublemaker.
Thinking of the package, Su Ming suddenly realized that they were probably looking for him—that made sense, they were tracing his Taobao account's purchase history, and it had nothing to do with the shipyard! Su Ming understood.
This raises a new question: armed, being arrested, and himself?
"What did I do to deserve such public outrage?" Su Ming was completely bewildered. All he did was miss delivering a truckload of goods; it wasn't his fault!
But there was no time for him to hesitate; the escape from the other world was imminent and could not be delayed. Su Ming made a snap decision, spurred the little troublemaker onto the sidewalk, grabbed a package from the supermarket entrance, and ran.
The package contained only a 3D-printed ship model; the police would certainly inspect it, but it's highly unlikely they would replace it. If the packaging, appearance, or weight aroused suspicion, it could create unnecessary complications.
Moreover, time is of the essence; high-speed logistics have no spare time, and unnecessary delays could result in lost opportunities to apprehend suspects. This should be the logic from the police's perspective.
With the package in hand, the troublemaker floored the accelerator and sped off. The police officers got out of their cars, drew their pistols, and prepared to fire warning shots.
Su Ming ignored him and turned into a nearby alley.
Something seemed to brush past, and the little prickly boy shuddered.
Ling Ting Su Ming hadn't practiced yet, so he couldn't hear the little troublemaker's voice. Su Ming turned into the alley and found the road wasn't wide enough for the police cars to get in. He quickly moved forward and escaped the encirclement before the police reached the alley's exit.
But this wasn't the end; police cars quickly caught up again. Surveillance was everywhere, making escape difficult. Fortunately, they weren't far from the city's outskirts; the surveillance cameras would be less dense further out. Su Ming accelerated to full speed, turned into a side road at an intersection, and then sped along a randomly chosen village road.
Su Ming didn't dare stop until he had driven dozens of kilometers. He hid the motorcycle in an abandoned pigsty by the roadside, and the little troublemaker in the basement of an unfinished building.
There was no time to think about why these things happened; Su Ming felt that the most urgent task was to solve his own life-or-death situation in the other world.
He opened the package, and sure enough, it contained a model ship.
Thank goodness they didn't switch them! After all, from a normal person's perspective, it's just a harmless lump of iron.
Su Ming suddenly noticed that one of the little troublemaker's ribs was broken. He was horrified. The power that sustained the little troublemaker's life came from his magic in another world. In theory, as long as he didn't dispel the necromantic mark in his sea of consciousness, the little troublemaker would continue to exist and could even slowly repair itself.
How could it suddenly break down? Is it about to collapse?
After a careful inspection, Su Ming breathed a sigh of relief. There was a round hole in the shoulder of the little troublemaker's clothes; it was from a gunshot.
Thinking back to that jolt before I entered the alley, and considering the angle of the bullet, it was a sniper!
So what exactly did he do?! Su Ming was on the verge of tears. This was definitely the kind of treatment only a serious criminal would receive! What right did he, a mere craftsman in a machinery factory, have to deserve this?! But anyway, these were things to worry about later.
Su Ming placed the model ship on the ground and then began the teleportation.
In the main hall of the Bone Fortress, runes of magic flashed, and in front of Su Ming and the White Bone, some steel formed a ship model.
"Is this a ship?" Even though she had seen too many things in Earth-style architecture, the scholar couldn't help but have doubts. "It's too delicate."
Su Ming reached out and picked it up, noticing that the ship's shape resembled the Type 056, indeed long and slender. It had a deep V-shaped hull, an overhanging hull, and a long bridge—very beautiful.
"What's the purpose of this circle?" the skeleton asked, pointing to the bulbous bow at the front of the ship model.
"Are you sure you want to hear this, given your level of geometry?" Su Ming asked.
"Never mind," White Bone said, pursing his lips.
“My initial idea was a catamaran or a hydrofoil, which has a more elegant shape.” Su Ming picked up his laptop and showed Bai Gu some pictures. “However, we only have this much power right now, so we can’t utilize the functions of these configurations.”
"Alright, I won't say anything more." White Bone frowned as he looked at the lines that were flying all over the screen. "Don't ever discuss the fortress design with me again. Anyway, the White Bone Mark is with you, so do as you please!"
"Thank goodness this body was awakened," she murmured softly.
Su Ming imported the model into the bone mark and began refining and modifying it. After all, it was a magical material, so many things were different.
In addition, he also needs to practice the various operations of fortress reconstruction on a small scale first.
"Oh, and remember to save me a large room; I'll use it as a library," the skeleton said. "The other three slightly smaller rooms will be used as a warehouse, an alchemy lab, and—a rune research lab. The rune research lab needs to have windows for good ventilation."
“No problem, there’s plenty of space on the ship,” Su Ming replied.
****
As night fell, Su Ming and Bai Gu arrived at the top of the tower. He held a list of items to be prepared, with two items remaining that were either incomplete or pending confirmation.
He looked up at the sky and knew that even without magical perception, a considerable rain was about to fall.
"Do you have any magic to change the weather?" Su Ming asked.
"Yes, there is," the skeleton replied. "If enough people are gathered together to cast spells, it is possible to change the weather on a small scale and for a short period of time."
Even a random event in nature, such as an avalanche, a torrential rain, or a tornado, involves an enormous amount of energy. Even in magical realms, human intervention is extremely difficult.
"In other words, the temple won't do something so thankless and difficult." Su Ming checked the box next to [rainfall], indicating that the task was settled.
