Hogwarts: Dumbledore reigned over the wizarding world
Chapter 11 Harry Potter
Chapter 11 Harry Potter
Harry didn't enjoy the attention, especially the fact that everyone who knew his name wanted to see the scar on his forehead, which made him feel like an animal in a zoo.
But he didn't have the courage to refuse, or rather, it could at least help him get acquainted with others as quickly as possible.
So when he noticed Ron's eyes flickering at his forehead, he pulled his hair aside to let him look.
"Merlin's socks..."
Ron couldn't help but admire, his eyes still fixed on Harry's forehead, making Harry's face turn a little red.
Vaughan hit him on the head with his wand.
Ron cried out in pain, holding his head and complaining, "What are you doing?"
"Because you're rude."
"I...I'm just curious..."
Ron turned away sheepishly and looked out the window.
Harry sat awkwardly beside him, his eyes darting around aimlessly, finally settling on the wand in Vaughan's hand.
After being helped by the Weasley family twice in a row, Harry felt that this family was very nice.
The timidity in his heart finally dissipated a little. He looked at it for a while, and finally couldn't help asking curiously:
"Uh, Vaughn…can I call you Vaughn?"
Vaughn, who was combing Guoguocha's hair, nodded, "Of course, Harry."
"Vaughn, that thing you just used is..."
"The Levitation Charm, a very basic spell that can make objects float, is in our first-grade textbook."
"That's amazing..." Harry blinked his green eyes, then looked a little disappointed. "I tried for a month and didn't learn anything."
Vaughn didn't take it seriously. "I've been practicing spells at home since I was eight, and you've been raised in Muggle society. There's no need to compare yourself to me, Harry. Many young Muggle-born wizards are similar to you."
But what he didn't say was that he learned the levitation spell after only reciting it twice.
There's nothing to show off in front of children.
This made Harry feel better. He was about to step into a new environment and was afraid that he would not be able to keep up with his classmates.
As he was thinking, Harry noticed that he had ignored Ron and quickly changed the subject to Ron, hoping that this new friend would show off to him and build a closer relationship. "Ron, you must know a lot of spells, right?"
Ron: "..."
Harry saw Ron's face flush visibly and he stammered, unable to speak. Vaughn opposite him even laughed out loud. He realized that he seemed to have done something stupid.
So embarrassing!
Fortunately, the compartment door was pushed open again at this time, and a smiling woman with dimples asked:
"Honey, do you want to buy some snacks?"
She was pushing a cart piled high with stuff.
Harry jumped up immediately. He had never made friends before and didn't know how to get along with people his age, but from his own perspective, he felt that paying for snacks was a good idea.
It just so happens that he has money!
When Harry came back, the pile of snacks in his arms really caught Ron's attention. He stared at Harry as he poured the snacks on the seat, and then enthusiastically invited them to join in.
"Come on, come on, I bought a lot, more than one person can finish."
Ron tried to be a little reserved: "Mom has prepared sandwiches..." But Vaughn had already happily picked up a pumpkin pie, tore open the packaging, and wasn't a little kid who would be shy about this. He could always reciprocate later.
Seeing Vaughan eat his food, Ron also reluctantly took a piece of pie and ate it with hearty appetite. Harry was very happy. In the past 11 years, he had never shared anything with anyone, and had nothing and no one to share with.
This feels great!
Harry and Ron ate and chatted, and soon they became very lively, discussing Chocolate Frog cards and Bitby's Every Flavour Beans, with Vaughn occasionally interjecting a few words.
But more often than not, he just looked at them with a smile, thoughts running through his mind.
In his previous life, he had an idea: given the living environment Harry had grown up in, what would happen to him if there was no Ron and no Hermione?
The result is almost predictable.
Harry can either be seen as a savior, immersed in the attention and flattery, and degenerate into a useless waste.
Or follow Voldemort's old path.
But that is only if. The reality is that Harry happened to be on this train to Hogwarts. At the turning point of his life, he met two lifelong friends who filled his dry and exhausted heart with love again.
Dumbledore always said that love is the greatest power.
But in Vaughan's view—
Destiny... is the most awe-inspiring force!
I really want to hold it in my hands!
Vaughn stroked his wand lightly with his fingers and turned to look out the window. The train had just passed the last neat farmland. The fields stretching to the distant horizon outside the window gradually became barren, followed by dark green mountain shadows, scattered forests, and winding rivers on the earth.
After an unknown amount of time, the cubicle door was pushed open for the third time. A boy with a round face stood at the doorway, crying, "Excuse me, have you seen a toad? Its name is Lai Fu, and I lost it."
Harry and Ron shook their heads in surprise.
"I'll go find it for you!" Vaughn stood up. "Come, Guo Guocha, smell his scent."
Guo Guocha jumped off the table and followed him.
The round-faced boy snorted gratefully. "Thank you, thank you. My name is Neville, Neville Longbottom."
"You're welcome, just call me Vaughn."
Vaughan, of course, wasn't that enthusiastic; he just wanted an excuse to wander around.
By the way, let his younger brother and Harry develop a good relationship.
Watching Vaughan and Neville leave, Harry sighed, "Your brother is such a good man, Ron."
Ron's face wrinkled into a chrysanthemum. "He's not like that! I don't know how many times I've been scared by him since I was a child. And Fred and George are just as hateful as him!"
Harry shrugged it off: "You're brothers, of course he'll play with you, but look at how he treats me and that boy. Before today, I always thought all brothers in the world were like Dudley."
The two had talked about Dudley in a previous chat, and Harry had almost described him as a demon.
Compared to him, Ron actually felt that Vaughn was an angel. He couldn't help but brag, "...Of course he's not that bad. In fact, apart from scaring me, Vaughn is good at everything. He's been brewing potions since he was eight years old. Everyone has heard of him. He's a famous genius."
"He's also the one who makes the most money in our family. Look, he bought me my new wand."
Harry looked at Ron holding the wand like it was a treasure and felt very envious.
No one had ever given him such a gift.
On the other side, Vaughn, who didn't know that his brother was bragging to Harry, quickly found Lai Fu with the help of Fruit Tea, sent away the crying and grateful Neville, and just as he was about to leave, he heard someone calling him.
"Vaughn…Weasley?"
Looking back, not far away, Hermione Granger with disheveled hair was staring at him with shining eyes.
