The NBA's Absolute Dominance

Chapter 69 Reggie Miller: I'm going to smash Tang?
After the game, the Hornets rushed back to Charlotte overnight, where they faced a back-to-back game against the Pacers.
In the last back-to-back game against the Pistons, Tang Bei achieved a 30+10 stat line for the first time. Hopefully, he can deliver a good performance in this back-to-back game as well.
However, he felt his physical fitness wasn't very good.
He played 42 minutes against the Celtics, taking 20 shots, with 70% of his attacks coming from the paint. Coupled with ineffective positioning, his stamina was greatly depleted.
At noon, Eric Fleischer came to Tang Bei's apartment, sat down, and said:
"Tang, the day before yesterday, two local small companies wanted you to be their spokesperson, but the endorsement fee wasn't much, so I turned them down."
"Where are your sneakers?"
Tang Bei was most concerned about this, and now he knew that this was the only thing that symbolized a player's value.
Eric Fleischer said, "Nike and Adidas both contacted me, but they raised their offers a bit, but it was still the worst sponsorship deal."
Then he advised, "Don't be discouraged, Tang. Most All-Stars don't have signature shoe contracts. There are only a handful of active players in the league with signature shoe contracts. We still have to wait for an opportunity. If you can get an All-Star starter position, maybe you'll have a chance."
"I know."
Tang Bei wasn't discouraged. He knew his influence was still small, so where could he get autographed sneakers?
Eric Fleischer said with anticipation, "Now that CCTV in your country is broadcasting your games live, your influence in China will gradually expand, and you'll get a signature shoe contract."
Tang Bei nodded, feeling a little regretful. CCTV broadcast fifteen games live, but only gave the Hornets five. They should have been given more games.
On the evening of the 28th, Charlotte Arena was greeted by Reggie Miller's foul mouth.
This is the second regular season game between the two teams. The Pacers lost to the Hornets at home last time, and Reggie Miller is still holding a grudge.
As soon as the Pacers got off the bus, a group of reporters surrounded him.
A reporter asked, "Reggie, are you feeling any pressure playing against the league's top team, the Hornets, on the road?"
"Number one in the entire league? Haha!"
Reggie Miller scoffed, letting out two strange noises before saying, "That's because they haven't faced a strong team yet. Tonight, we'll show them what kind of team they are."
The reporter asked excitedly, "Reggie, the Hornets beat you at your home court last time. Based on what you just said, what level of teams are the Pacers and the Hornets respectively?"
Reggie Miller's face instantly turned ashen, realizing he had said the wrong thing and been caught out by the reporters. He quickened his pace, pushing his way through the crowd of reporters.
Another reporter followed up and asked, "Reggie, how do you plan to deal with Tang, who has already reached the pinnacle of his cultivation?"
"Debuting at the peak? Haha!"
Reggie Miller gave a mocking laugh and said, "A rookie who can only dunk, I bet he's going to be in big trouble tonight."
"boom!"
Just then, a pickup truck spewing black smoke rushed over, "flew" past Reggie Miller, and then with a "screech," drifted and came to a stop in a parking space.
"boom!"
Then Tang Bei got out of the driver's seat, looking refreshed, and closed the car door behind him.
"This kid, is he driving so recklessly?"
Reggie Miller, who had just smelled the black smoke, glared at Tang Bei and said unhappily.
"damn it!"
Suddenly, a group of reporters who were interviewing him rushed towards Tang Bei, making him even more annoyed.
"Tang, Reggie Miller just said he'd teach you a lesson, that he'd beat you to a pulp. Do you have anything to say about that?" a reporter asked loudly.
"Did I really say that?" Reggie Miller was dumbfounded.
"Who is he?" Tang Bei asked casually.
"Damn newbie!"
Reggie Miller was instantly enraged and decided that he would teach Tang Bei a lesson tonight.
“That’s Reggie Miller,” a reporter said, pointing to Reggie Miller.
Tang Bei looked in that direction and saw a guy with an arrogant and unruly look in his eyes.
Reggie Miller certainly had a personality; he raised his left hand and gave Tang Bei a thumbs-up, then, to everyone's puzzled looks, turned the thumbs-up downwards. "Kid, see you on the field."
He left with his teammates after saying just one sentence.
"Don, how do you respond to Reggie Miller?" a reporter asked.
Tang Bei followed behind the pedestrian, casually remarking as he walked, "Do I need to respond to a fool?"
"This bastard!"
Reggie Miller, who was in front, heard Tang Bei's words and was so angry that his teeth ached.
"Let's go, Reggie, don't bother with a rookie."
Schremf quickly nudged Reggie Miller from behind and advised, "Winning this game is the best response."
Reggie Miller has a terrible temper; he's even insulted Jordan's father. He immediately launched into a tirade:
"Damn brat, your father should have drowned you in the toilet the moment you were born. He's a complete idiot, and his stupidity has led to your miserable, piss-smelling life. You moron, impotent..."
"A shrewish woman yelling in the street?"
Tang Bei was dumbfounded. He often saw similar shrewish women in the countryside, but this was the first time he had seen a man like this.
"You bastard, I'll beat you to death!"
Reggie Miller's outburst enraged him, and he pushed through the crowd of reporters to chase after him.
"Hey, what do you want to do?"
Seeing Tang Bei's menacing approach, Reggie Miller felt a sense of panic.
After all, he was only good at talking and not at fighting, so he quickly turned around and ran away. After running into the emergency exit, he slammed the metal door shut.
Tang Bei rushed forward and delivered a powerful front kick. With a loud bang, the iron door dented inward, leaving a huge dent. Both doors were severely deformed, as were the hinges on both sides.
"God!"
Reggie Miller, standing behind the door, was startled and nearly fell back two steps. He stared in disbelief at the deformed iron door. After regaining his senses, he turned and ran.
"God!"
"Stop him now!"
"Why don't you go and do it!"
"No, God will stop him."
"Reggie Miller will be killed by him."
"God will bless Reggie!"
Media reporters like Zhang Heli and the Pacers players were all taken aback, but no one dared to step forward to dissuade Tang Bei, including the Pacers' management and coaches.
"Crack, click, click..."
After their initial surprise, the reporters began snapping photos.
The rapid clicking of camera shutters calmed Tang Bei down. He took a step back, turned to the reporters, and said, "I have to open this door, otherwise we can't get in."
After saying that, he rushed up and delivered a front kick.
With a bang, the top two hinges on the right side of the metal door finally succumbed to the terrifying force and broke, causing the severely deformed metal door to be kicked down.
"Ran away? Damn it!"
Upon seeing that no one was inside, Tang Bei cursed.
Zhang Heli advised, "Forget it, Tang Bei, just scare him a little, it's not worth fighting him."
Looking at the severely deformed iron gate in front of him, he was genuinely afraid that Tang Bei might kill Reggie Miller in a fit of rage, and that would be the end of it.
"Tang, shall I take you to the away team's locker room to find him?" a black reporter, always eager for a good show, shouted.
The Pacers' faces darkened upon hearing this.
Tang Bei chuckled at this remark, shook his head, and strode through the iron gate into the emergency exit, with several media reporters following after him.
