Chapter 496 The Prison Cell
Chapter 496 The Prison Cell
Cell No. 1: Running Around Non-Stop
[Upon entering the cell, one must continuously push the horizontal bar for 15 minutes; failure to do so will result in electric shock punishment.]
[Each rotation will earn you 1000 minutes of visa time.]

Cell No. 2: All the Money Gone
[Upon entering the cell, you can donate all remaining visa time from 'one week ago' equally among all surviving players in the new world, with a maximum debt of 5 minutes of visa time allowed. You will have 48 hours of visa time to return to the community. If you run out of visa time, you will suffer an instant death penalty.]

Cell No. 3: Standing by and doing nothing
[Upon entering the cell, you will enter the "Wise Man Imprisoned" state.]
If a player who is a "Hermit" enters this cell, they must choose any player to transfer their "Hermit" status.
The next "Hermit" must select a specific form of punishment from another cell and replicate it, reusing the reward and punishment mechanism.
[If a non-'Hermit' player enters, the current 'Hermit' player selects a punishment from another cell and replicates it, reusing the reward and punishment mechanism.]

【Cell No. 4: A Question That Pierces the Heart】
Once inside the cell, each of the other players can ask two different questions. Giving honest answers to all of them completes the task.
[You can earn 5000 minutes of visa time for each question you answer.]
If the given answer triggers a judgment of insincerity or the player refuses to answer, the player will suffer an instant death penalty.
After all answers are given, all other players will vote. If more than half of the players vote for "death," the player will suffer an instant death penalty.

Cell No. 5: Death Surveillance
[To complete the task, press the button on the desktop for a total of 10 minutes within 15 minutes.]
During the game, the "Monitoring Doll" will move randomly around the room. If you are detected pressing a button while in the "Monitoring Doll's" direct line of sight, you will be punished with a "Nail Gun".
[If a player presses the desktop button for less than 10 minutes in total, they will suffer an instant death penalty.]
[If a player presses the desktop button for more than 10 minutes in total, they will receive an additional 2000 minutes of visa time for every 10 seconds that pass.]

Cell No. 6: Destiny Takes Its Course
Once inside the cell, players have two options:
[Option 1: Randomly select a punishment from another cell and replicate it, reusing the reward and punishment mechanism.]
[Option 2: Do nothing and wait quietly for 15 minutes.]
[At the end of this game (after the "Super Player" exercises their privileges), if the copycat who designed this game has not faced a death threat, or has acted in accordance with the player's expectations after facing a death threat, then the player is safe.]
If the copycat who designed this game performs an action that is unexpected by the player, the player will suffer an instant death penalty.
This determination will be made by the arcade's mind-reading mechanism; players will not be able to see the copycat's game experience or details.

All the rules for the six cells were made public right away, leaving many people feeling a bit lost.
After reading the rules of the last cell, Gao Jialiang had already forgotten what the previous rules were.
For some players, these rules have a strong sense of déjà vu.
Fu Yujun seemed thoughtful: "The punishment in cell number 5 is clearly the same as the 'surveillance' in the 'lifting game.' But it lasts longer, and the 'whipping' has been replaced by a 'nail gun'?"
"If you're skilled enough, you might be fine, but in the worst-case scenario, you could die."
Song Xiao from Community 15 said, "Cell 3's 'standing idly by' is somewhat like the crime committed by that police officer in 'The Shelter Game'."
"Is the 'Heart-Piercing Question' in Cell Number 4 related to the 'Simple Questions and Answers'?"
Cui Yifeng frowned: "Cell No. 1 is clearly the original rules of the 'King's Trial,' with almost no difference except for the extended time."
"But what does 'spending all one's fortune' mean in cell number 2? No matter how you look at it, it should be an absolutely safe room, right?"
Cai Zhiyuan was still thinking.
He had realized that the six cells corresponded to six games that had already taken place.
King's Trial, Tycoon Kingdom, Sanctuary Game, Simple Questions and Answers, Lifting Game, Tarot Game.
The correlation between prison cell punishment and games varies, sometimes stronger and sometimes weaker.
For example, the connection between Cell 1 and the "King's Trial" is very strong, directly adopting the rules there; while the connection between Cell 2, "spending all the money," and the "tycoon's kingdom" is very weak, with only the idea of "wealth" being a barely related one.
The other six players are actually the 'witnesses' corresponding to these six games.
"The King's Trial" - Community 19, Cui Yifeng.
"The Kingdom of Tycoons" - Community 7, Sun De.
"Shelter Game" - Community 15, Song Xiao.
『Simple Q&A』- Gao Jialiang, No.1 Community
"Lifting Game" - Fu Yujun, 10th Community
'Tarot Games' - Community 14, Huang Ming
As the "Hermit," Cai Zhiyuan wields more decision-making power than other players.
The question now is whether he should go into a cell, and if so, which one.
Next, you need to consider how to arrange the other six players. You must use all the cells to end the game.
But most importantly, he had to ensure his own survival.
Sun De asked cautiously, "I'd like to go into cell number 1, is that alright?"
"If that's alright, could you please use that lantern to help me verify it?"
Gao Jialiang asked curiously, "Hmm? Why didn't you go into cell number 2? It seems like that cell is safer, right?"
Sun De looked at him and said, "Although my visa is only valid for a short time, I'm still reluctant to give it up."
Gao Jialiang was at a loss for words.
Sun De added, "If you think cell number 2 is good, you can go into cell number 2 yourself, and no one should have any objections."
The other players were clearly also considering which cell's rules were safer.
First, for players other than Cai Zhiyuan, they will most likely rule out cells 4 and 5 first.
Because these two cells are the most dangerous at first glance.
Cell No. 4, the "Question of the Heart," requires players to answer 12 questions, all of which must be answered truthfully. Afterward, the other players vote to decide whether the player lives or dies.
Besides the player in the cell, there are 6 other players. Although the rules state that "more than half" of them will be considered for an instant death, meaning at least 4 "death tickets" must be received, who knows what kind of questions these players will ask.
They will most likely not show any mercy.
Moreover, most players have an instinctive aversion to revealing their secrets and will not play this terrible "truth or dare" game unless absolutely necessary.
