Chapter 252, Phase 2 Rules
Chapter 252 Second Phase Rules
Clearly, which nine-square grid will be opened in the fifth round will almost directly determine the ownership of the "privileged community".
If the central D4 is opened up, all communities will compete for it, but in the end, Wang Weidong from the 15th community will most likely win.
If G7 or G1 is opened, it's equivalent to guaranteeing admission to the 12th or 17th community.
If forced to choose one of these three communities, viewers might be more inclined to give the weakest, 12th community, an advantageous status, which is a reasonable explanation.
Since things have come to this point, there's no point in dwelling on them anymore.
For Community 17, the outcome of the first phase of the game was perfectly acceptable.
They acquired eight plots of land, enough to build a shelter for every player in the community, and they also had a relatively large amount of gold left over.
A moment later, the broadcast reappeared on the big screen, announcing the rules for the second phase.
……
[Once the second phase of the game begins, each community can spend gold coins to build shelters on the plots they have acquired.]
There are two different construction options for the shelter, each with a different probability of offsetting the instant death penalty. Players can freely choose from the options marked on the plot.
The shelter built in the central 'D4 3x3 grid' will have an additional '10%' increase in the probability of negating instant death penalties.
Completed shelters must be explicitly assigned to a specific player; otherwise, they will be randomly assigned among players in the community.
When a player inside the area suffers an instant death penalty, their existing shelters will be consumed in descending order of probability of the shelter offsetting the instant death penalty.
Regardless of whether the instant death penalty is successfully offset, the shelter will be destroyed, and the corresponding plot of land will be abandoned.
When a shelter successfully negates the instant death penalty, any unconsumed shelters under that player's name will be retained.
Players within the inner circle can freely trade shelters, and the prices will not be publicly disclosed.
Players inside the arena can also choose to list their shelters for sale to the audience, who can only purchase them with gold coins at the listed price.
When players inside the arena and spectators engage in transactions, neither party can identify the specific trading partner or view the shelter details. However, the latest listed transaction price will be broadcast on the large screen.
[Viewers will not suffer instant death penalties, but if they do not have any shelter under their name at the end of the game, they will have all remaining visa time deducted, up to a maximum of 48 hours.]
[If a viewer has a shelter under their name, the initial visa duration is protected based on the sum of the probabilities that all shelters offset the instant death penalty.]
For example, if a viewer has a sanctuary with a 90% chance to negate instant death penalties, then 90% of their initial visa time will be protected and not deducted when leaving the game. (Visa time already converted into gold coins is not protected.)
The rules for building shelters only state that there are two different construction options, but do not specify the cost of the different options or the specific probability of offsetting the instant death penalty.
Obviously, players inside the area need to check the signs on the plots themselves for this information.
In addition, the game rules only allow trading shelters, but not plots of land where shelters have not yet been built.
[After the start of the second phase of the game, each round will proceed as follows.]
[1. Trial stage.]
[2. Land auction stage.]
[3. Free Trade Phase.]
[Special Note: The buying and selling of shelters is only permitted after entering the 'free trade phase'.]
[If the transaction is between players inside the game area, it will be completed immediately; if a spectator bids for a listed shelter, the coins will be credited to their account in the next round of the 'Free Trading' session. (The coins will be credited immediately in the final round of the game.)]
Next, we will focus on introducing the four death rules in the game.
[1. The Sinner Confesses.] [In this game, each community of the players inside the arena has a 'sinner,' and their crimes will be revealed in turn.]
The accused, whose crimes are made public, must make a choice within 10 seconds and perform the corresponding action on the display screen on their left: 'Confess' or 'Appeal'.
If the offender chooses to 'confess,' they will face immediate execution and will not be eligible for shelter.
2. Being held jointly liable for crimes committed by others
If the offender chooses to appeal instead of pleading guilty, they will have one minute to provide an explanation.
All players inside the arena can vote to judge the guilty party, determining whether they are 'guilty' or 'not guilty'.
If a player believes the perpetrator acted out of desperation or with extenuating circumstances, they should vote "Not Guilty."
Conversely, if the answer is no, then "guilty" is voted.
[Voting is limited to 3 minutes. If players do not vote in time, they will be automatically voted "guilty".]
If more than half of the players believe the person is "innocent," then the person who committed the crime will not be punished.
If more than half of the players believe the person is "guilty," the guilty person will suffer an instant death penalty. Simultaneously, a "specific group" will also be "jointly punished," suffering the same instant death penalty.
[Players inside the game may commit crimes similar to those of the criminals during the game.]
If fewer than five players in the inner circle commit the same crime, then players in the same community as the perpetrators will be held jointly liable.
If five or more players inside the game commit the same crime, then all players who committed the same crime will be held jointly liable.
【3. Punishment for acting against one's will】
Before the game ends, the system will conduct a lie detector test on all players inside the room. If a player's true thoughts at this point are completely consistent with the previous voting results, they will be marked as a "perfect judge."
If there are fewer than 10 "Perfect Judges," then all players except the "Perfect Judges" and the "Spectators" will trigger an additional instant-death penalty.
However, players have one chance to cast a "vote against their will."
[If you actively choose to cast a "vote against your conscience" on the screen, this vote will automatically pass all lie detector tests within the game.]
However, players within the same community will not be able to cast "insincere votes" for sinners within that community.
[In addition, players inside the arena can spend 30 gold coins at any time to view the detailed file of a sinner, which will then be broadcast on the big screen.]
4. Final Voting
Before the game ends, the five communities inside will hold a "final vote." All players from the community chosen by the vote will suffer an additional instant death penalty.
[Please note: Except for "voluntary confession by the sinner," all immediate death penalties can be offset by shelter, but any method of offsetting an immediate death penalty can only be used once.]
When a player dies, the gold coins they are carrying will first belong to players within their own community. Players from other communities stealing gold coins will be considered to have violated the rules.
[If a player dies and has any unredeemed gold coins, other players in the same community can continue to redeem them.]
When all players in a community die in the game, all the community's gold coins are divided equally among all players (including those in the inner circle and spectators).
Upon hearing this, many players found it difficult to control their expressions.
Although I knew from the beginning that the rules of this game would be extremely cruel and that many people might die, I never expected there would be so many death rules.
