Chapter 229 The Desperate and Mad Ancient Vanguard Monster

Chapter 229 The Desperate and Mad Ancient Vanguard Monster
Zong Fang did not answer; he simply clenched his fists instinctively, his keen combat intuition sensing something unusual.

Just as everyone was bewildered by this bizarre scene, Captain Megumi's calm and decisive voice resounded throughout the bridge.

"Attention all personnel, Maxx-Texas Cannon, charging!"

"team leader?"

"Whatever they're up to, this is the best opportunity." Captain Megumi's voice left no room for doubt. "Launch!"

"understand!"

Deputy Captain Zongfang snapped out of his daze and, without any hesitation, immediately pressed the red launch button.

"Maxx Texas Cannon, fire!"

The main gun barrels of the Atlas, which resembled a moving island, suddenly shone with a blinding white light.

A dazzling beam of light, embodying the pinnacle of human technology and capable of turning the tide of battle, tore through the sky and struck Zoga, who was still questioning his existence, with overwhelming force.

"boom--!"

No screaming, no struggle.

Zoga's enormous body was instantly disintegrated and vaporized at the center of the beam of light, eventually turning into a dazzling cloud of fireworks that dissipated between the sea and the sky.

It hit the mark on the first shot, and he was instantly killed.

Inside the Stone Wing, Gatanothor looked at the exploding flames below, scratched her chin in confusion, then turned to Lin Yu and said in a very serious tone:

"It just seemed like it was sending me a message."

She tilted her conch-shaped head, trying hard to remember.

"But I can't understand it."

Lin Yu almost burst out laughing.

He reached out and felt the faint, almost negligible, dark fluctuations remaining in the air, and shrugged helplessly.

"That's right, you don't understand."

He spoke nonsense with a straight face, “I guess that’s some kind of native dialect of the Dark Zoth system. We are giants of light… cough, you are a giant snail of light, there is already racial segregation, it’s normal that we can’t understand each other’s languages.”

"Oh."

Gatanothor nodded as if she understood, no longer dwelling on the question, and instead focused her attention back on the sea, seemingly searching for the next "delicious-looking" target.

Inside the cockpit of the Victory Flying Swallow II, Tetsuo Shinjo finally breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at the words "Target destroyed" displayed on the screen.

But his doubts only grew stronger.

He stroked his chin and turned his head to look at Commander Zongfang, who was silent beside him.

"Commander, did you see that just now? That guy's last expression was so strange, like... like he saw something in the sky that he couldn't understand."

Deputy Captain Zongfang stared straight ahead, uttering only a single, classic syllable through his nose.

"Ah."

Xincheng was already used to his commander's sparing use of words, and he immediately understood what the other party meant.

This means, "I saw it, and I also feel that something is wrong. Go check it out."

He immediately switched the communication channel.

"Hey, Horii, can you hear me?"

"I heard you, I heard you, turn it up louder, my signal isn't very good." Horii Masami's slightly complaining voice came through the communicator. "Hey Shinjo, what weird airspace did you fly the plane into this time?"

"Stop talking nonsense!" Shinjo said irritably. "Help me analyze the residual energy ripples in that airspace just now, the spot where the monster was standing there in a daze before it was killed! That guy's reaction was too strange, something that has never happened before, we have to be careful."

"Oh? Is that so?" Horii's tone immediately became serious. "Okay, send the data over, I'll analyze it right away."

The Victory Team immediately threw themselves into studying the unknown energy fluctuations.

Lin Yu, the one who started all of this, had already landed silently on the sea with the two little ones.

He lightly touched the ground with his feet and stood on the shimmering water as if walking on flat ground. Looking up at the artificial floating islands not far away, which were still diligently firing cleanup lasers into the sea from time to time, he couldn't help but sigh. "They're quite efficient."

While we can sigh with regret, we must get down to business.

He stretched out his hand, palm facing the airspace above.

That was the exact time point he had deliberately set when he was tricked by the realm of the past.

A "refresh point" that can continuously summon Zoga from the ancient times 30 million years ago.

As Lin Yu's thoughts shifted, the long-dormant power of the spacetime realm within his body began to slowly circulate.

An invisible ripple spread from his palm, instantly enveloping the entire sea area.

Above the sky, the spacetime coordinates that connected the past and the present were silently erased under the interference of a higher power.

Okay, the back door is closed.

After doing all this, Lin Yu did not stop.

He raised his hands as if embracing the entire sky.

"Next, we'll work on spatial shaping."

He wanted to carve out a temporary subspace here, large enough to accommodate the extraordinary battle that might take place next!

Lin Yu couldn't help but recall the beautiful and dreamlike realm of the Rainbow Magic World.

"Speaking of which, it seems that my Time-Space Dimension has completely devoured that Rainbow Magic Realm. Would you say I demolished the Silver Dragon's home base and used it as nourishment?"

He had a vague feeling that the domain that had been swallowed by the spacetime realm had not disappeared, but had instead merged with his power in another form.

Perhaps, the subspace I've created is, in essence, an extension of the Rainbow Realm.

"Rumble--"

The sky suddenly changed.

The once clear sky was shrouded in thick, churning, chaotic clouds in just a few seconds.

Within the clouds, lightning flashed and thunder roared, and the barriers of space groaned under the strain.

A massive, black hole-like spatial rift slowly opened before the countless monitoring devices of the Victory Team and under the shocked gaze of thousands of base personnel.

Behind that rift lies a deep, indescribable chaos, as if connected to another dimension.

On the bridge of the Atlas, alarms blared through the sky.

"Warning! Warning! Extremely high intensity spatial fluctuations detected!"

"An unknown spatial rift has appeared in the target airspace!"

Deputy Captain Zongfang's face turned ashen. He snatched the communicator and issued the highest-level combat orders to the entire team.

"All personnel, Level 1 combat readiness! All guns, aim at the spatial rift. Atlas, lift off!"

The massive spaceship slowly lifted off the sea, its hundreds of cannons turning in unison, flashing with dangerous light, aimed at the ominous rift in the sky.

Everyone was extremely tense, thinking that some terrifying cosmic invaders were about to descend.

However, at this tense moment, another unexpected event occurred.

From the center of the sea that had just been bombarded by Max Texas artillery, wisps of gray mist, filled with an ominous and malevolent aura, began to rise.

These mists gathered and twisted in the air, eventually outlining one virtual, semi-transparent shadow after another of Zoga.

Lin Yu looked at this scene with some difficulty.

"What the hell is this thing? A counterattack from the ancient past?"

Good, good, good. This is the first time he has ever seen an ancient monster that can be associated with negative energy. He has truly opened his eyes today.

But thinking about it, it makes sense. It would be hard to believe that Zoga wouldn't feel some negative energy after seeing Gatanothor's light fall into such a state.
