Chapter 432: Pollution Spreads
In the evening, Celia returned to the camp outside the Golden Apple Stone Forest with Benovia and the others.

As soon as she entered, she sensed that something was off.

The city of Leites has weathered the storm, and Duke Pharos is leading his men to assess the losses and gains, repair the magic array, and destroy the hidden heretical magic array.

Overall, everyone was in a good mood.

Duke Pharos came over specifically to tell Celia before she left that he was busy with post-disaster work and couldn't give her a reward for the time being. He said he would have to wait until the post-disaster issues were resolved, and if she wasn't there then, he would have Phil deliver it to her.

Celia didn't seem to care about this.

The Puppet Heart obtained from destroying the sixth-tier mage, and the Puppet Heart obtained from dealing with the fourth-tier heretic, are enough to compensate for Celia's losses, and there's even a profit to be made.

She even looked down on her original puppet heart—if it hadn't been enhanced by Ross, she would have thrown it away.

Maybe it can fetch a good price... probably.

Celia has decided to rely solely on herself until she reaches Tier 4!
Upon seeing Celia and the others return, Elena approached them and asked, "You're back. How's the situation in Lights City?"

Celia said, "It's been resolved. The losses over there should be... within acceptable limits."

Elena nodded: "That's good. The trials are suspended for a while, so you can go wherever you want."

"Aborted?" Benovia asked curiously, "Why aborted?"

Elena said, "Last night, the deep-sea monsters invaded the Golden Apple Stone Forest, causing great trouble for the heretics. Archbishop Melina led the Knights of Law to the area, intending to eliminate them in one fell swoop. However, the leader of the deep sea suddenly told Archbishop Melina that if they insisted on attacking, they would release the chaotic pollution within the Golden Apple Stone Forest, allowing the pollution to spread outwards."

Celia, Benovia, and the other two exchanged glances, all looking puzzled.

Benovia asked, "The pollution within the Golden Apple Stone Forest was contained by a magic array personally set up by the gods at the end of the Age of Calamity. Can they destroy the gods' magic array?"

Elena shook her head: "It's unclear for now. Archbishop Melina originally didn't intend to interfere, but our people at the camp discovered that the pollution within the Golden Apple Stone Forest is spreading outwards, and they seem to be able to control the spread. Until the spread problem is resolved, the operation plan will probably have to be suspended."

Celia immediately ran outside.

Before long, she arrived at the edge of the gentle slope of the cliff and looked into the Golden Apple Stone Forest.

She saw that the pollution, which had originally only spread to the bottom of the Golden Apple Stone Forest, had now spread outwards and even reached the edge of the cliff.

From the cliff, you can even touch the chaotic pollution by bending down.

Celia reached out and sensed it, discovering that the pollution had chaotic fluctuations, but there was only pollution, no chaotic magic or divine power.

"Thank goodness, I thought they could even unleash divine power."

Celia breathed a sigh of relief.

Divine power is a completely incomprehensible force to ordinary sorcerers. If the Deep Sea Alliance can utilize it, then this operation can be discontinued.

Looking at the churning gray fog, a thought suddenly struck Celia.

"These contaminants don't possess chaotic magic, so could it be..."

The girl opened her hands, and a purification spell shone from them as she slowly extended them into the churning pollution.

The pollution retreated swiftly as if it had encountered its nemesis, forming a small 'vacuum zone' around her hands.

Elena's voice came from beside her: "Celia, you..."

She walked over and said helplessly, "Celia, don't test things out of the blue. It's very dangerous if it triggers a magical surge."

Celia laughed and said, "Don't worry, Instructor Elena, I can draw scrolls to isolate pollution, so I know the extent of the pollution."

She paused for a moment and asked, "Speaking of which, have the Knights of the Law tested these spreading contaminants?" Elena replied, "Bishop Hugh collected some samples this morning and sent them over, but I don't know how the research is going."

Celia nodded: "Judging from the extent of this overflowing pollution, it's just pollution without any chaotic magic, so it's easy to deal with."

"So we can ignore the Deep Sea Aid Society's threat and attack directly?" Melina's voice rang out from the side.

Celia looked up and saw Melina, who had appeared beside her at some point.

She slowly walked over and said, "If Celia had been here last night, we probably would have been able to make up our minds."

Celia said, "I didn't know this would happen."

Melina asked, "So, is the method I suggested feasible?"

Celia thought for a moment, then shook her head: "It probably won't work."

"why?"

"Although these pollutants are not as difficult to purify as those in the Golden Apple Stone Forest, there are too many of them, and we don't have enough manpower to purify them. With pollution that has persisted for 500 years, we have no way of knowing whether this pollution will regenerate within the Golden Apple Stone Forest and continue to accumulate."

Melina nodded.

Many people said the same thing last night.

Otherwise, she would have ignored all advice and directly exposed the Deep Sea Assistance Association.

Allowing heretics to run rampant within our territory, and knowing where their headquarters are, would severely damage the Holy See's prestige if we didn't eliminate them.

Last night was an excellent opportunity.

When the deep-sea monsters dealt a heavy blow to the deep-sea fortress, they took it down in one fell swoop.

result……

Even now, Melina still feels it's a pity.

“If Bishop Shuen hadn’t stopped me, I would have resolved this last night.” Melina shook her head. “Bishop Shuen said that if the pollution in the Golden Apple Stone Forest were released, the city of Leites would immediately fall into chaos. After that, the pollution would spread outwards and eventually spread to the entire Starfall Continent, bringing new calamities. I think he’s exaggerating. Celia, do you think he’s right?”

“Uh…” Celia blinked and shook her head, “I don’t know.”

Melina said disappointedly, "I thought you knew."

Celia rolled her eyes: "Bishop Melina, you flatter me too much. I'm just an ordinary third-tier mage, and I've only been studying the Golden Apple Stone Forest for half a month. Grandpa Shuen has been studying here for most of his life. What he said may be a bit exaggerated, but it's definitely true."

Melina scoffed, "All that research you've done in your life is less useful than you coming here to take a look."

Celia didn't dare to respond to that.

Elena didn't dare to answer; she even sensed danger and made an excuse to run away.

Melina didn't care. She looked at the endless Golden Apple Stone Forest and sighed, "I missed the opportunity last night. I don't know if there will be another good opportunity like this in the future."

Celia laughed and said, "The Deep Sea Aid Society has existed for so many years, it's definitely not so easy to wipe it out. That deep-sea fortress looks like a headquarters, but what if it's just a disguised headquarters or something?"

Melina laughed and said, "There's no need for so many disguises. Even if there are disguises, we'll take down one as many as we can."

She paused, then looked at Celia with hope in her eyes: "Celia, I remember you are very skilled in magic arrays. Could you help us find a way to solve the problem of pollution spreading?"

"I?"
