Chapter 389 Mobilization
The second day of the exam went smoothly.

The second grade ended quietly.

After a few days of rest, all the students were gathered together and divided into two groups.

One group went to explore the ruins, while the other group headed to the Holy Court, preparing to participate in the siege of the Deep Sea Aid Society under the Holy Court's leadership.

Upon arriving at the Holy Court, Celia looked around and saw several hundred third-tier mages from the Holy Magic Academy, most of whom were fifth-year mages, followed by fourth-year mages.

The remaining students are mostly third graders (dozens) and second graders (about ten).

Excluding Celia and her five companions, you could count them on two hands.

The person in charge of this team was not a school tutor, but Melina, the Grand Master of the Holy Court's Order of Lawful Knights.

Below Melina are the various instructors at the school, each in charge of their respective teams.

Naturally, Celia was assigned to a team with Benovia and the others.

And their leader happens to be Elena, Celia's mentor.

Seeing Melina making the call, Celia whispered to Elena, "Mentor Elena, aren't the Principal and the Holy Lord going?"

“The Holy Lord won’t go, but the Headmaster will, though he won’t appear openly. The person in charge publicly this time is Archbishop Melina,” Elena said.

"If no one goes, what if we encounter a group of sixth-tier mages on the other side?" Doris asked.

Elena was both amused and exasperated: "If heretics had so many sixth-tier mages, they might as well just establish a country. Why be a heretic?"

She looked at Melina on the stage and said, "Although you are going with Archbishop Melina to broaden your horizons this time, you are not doing nothing. We have discovered that there are many small outposts around the headquarters of the Deep Sea Mutual Aid Society. Those are your main targets. Your mission is to clear out the outposts, arrest heretics, and rescue civilians."

The girls nodded solemnly.

The mobilization ended quickly, and the tasks were distributed ahead of schedule.

Looking at the bustling temple square, Celia couldn't help but think of a question: "With all this fuss we've made, what if they get wind of it beforehand and run away?"

Elena laughed and said, "It's not that easy to run away. Before we even started, an advance team had already gone there. They've been monitoring that area, and Principal Blake went too."

"I see."

Celia nodded and said nothing more.

The pre-war mobilization proceeded smoothly under the arrangements of Melina and the other bishops.

In the afternoon, with all arrangements finalized, the Knights of the Law led the many students of the Holy Magic Academy to the teleportation device at the Temple of Ember, where they traveled in batches to the nearby city of Leites, also known as the City of Lighthouses.

This city is located in the east of the Ishtar Empire. It is a coastal city and is named Lighthouse City because of the tall lighthouse near the port.

Emerging from the teleportation device, Celia looked up and saw the towering lighthouse, exclaiming, "This lighthouse is so much taller than that lost lighthouse!"

Doris said, "It is indeed very big. If it becomes a ruin, we probably won't be able to get through."

Phil said, "Doris, becoming a ruin is not a good thing. Don't talk nonsense."

Doris curled her lip and said, "Tch."

Elena walked over and said to everyone, "The place we are going to is about 300 kilometers away from Leites City, close to the ocean, but the terrain there is very strange. It is shrouded in pollution all year round. During the Age of Calamity, it was one of the pollution treatment zones of the gods, and pollution from all over the world was moved there."

Anke asked curiously, "Such an obvious place, didn't we realize before that it was a cult stronghold?"

Elena said, "It's a huge place, with a radius of seventy or eighty kilometers. It's not easy to find heretical strongholds inside. We can only set up camps on the outskirts and monitor the movements inside."

Benovia asked, "Is it the legendary Golden Apple Stone Forest?"

Elena glanced at Benovia in surprise and nodded. "Yes, that place is called the Golden Apple Stone Forest. Legend has it that the Moon Goddess, the Goddess of Fate, and the Goddess of Nature fought over the Golden Apple, hence the name Golden Apple Stone Forest. It was once filled with all kinds of destructive magic that lingered for a long time, so the gods used it as a pollution treatment area."

As she spoke, Elena looked up at the other students and said loudly, "Second-year teams, come with me. We won't go there today; we'll rest in Leites City first and set off tomorrow morning." After saying that, she counted the number of people, took the teams she was in charge of, boarded the train next to the teleportation device, and traveled all the way to the temple in Leites City, where they stayed at an inn next to the temple.

Celia looked up and saw that all the hotels around the temple had been booked.

Elena led Celia and the others into one of the hotels, where the receptionist was dozing off.

Elena tapped the table, which jolted her awake from her drowsiness. She quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me lately, I keep dozing off. I'll register you right away."

Celia looked at the receptionist and felt that she seemed weak, but her body and mind were normal.

It's probably from staying up late?
Celia muttered to herself, but didn't pay it any mind.

After a quick registration, Elena said, "We originally planned to stay at the temple, but considering that there are many law-enforcing knights on this trip, who are the main force attacking the main camp, the temple will let them rest. We can just stay at a hotel."

No one objected; the hotels around the temple were of a very high standard, and staying one night was no problem.

After putting her things down in the room, Celia found Elena and asked, "Teacher Elena, may I go out for a walk?"

Elena smiled and nodded: "Of course, the overnight stay in Leites City is for you, so you can experience the scenery of other cities before the battle."

Celia exclaimed happily, "Thank you, Instructor Elena!"

Celia planned to visit the Sorcerer's Guild in Leters City to see if they had any special materials, and also to buy some blank scrolls and scroll crafting materials.

She had a feeling that this trial would not end so easily.

The entire area, with a radius of seventy or eighty kilometers, is shrouded in pollution. Fighting inside is not easy, and magic must be used at any time to guard against the pollution invasion.

They will most likely surround the Golden Apple Stone Forest and then conquer it slowly.

They might directly target the main camp on the main battlefield, but the third-tier students will definitely only clear out the peripheral enemies and deal with them slowly.

"The demand for scrolls will definitely be huge then, but I don't know what form the pollution is in, or why it hasn't been purified for so long..."

What products sell best in contaminated areas?

Purification, of course.

Even if it's just temporarily clearing out a small open space, it can give everyone a chance to catch their breath.

"For an area with a radius of seventy or eighty kilometers, the people from the Holy Court and the Academy alone might not be enough. I wonder if there are any mercenaries or anything. If not, we can sell the scroll to other students."

She hasn't had a chance to earn money lately, and has only been spending it. Even with the gold coins she just received, Celia still feels it's not enough.

Holiday trials are a great opportunity to make money.

Celia looked at Ross and asked, "Lord Ross, do you think I could make money if I customized a purification technique specifically for the pollution patterns in the Golden Apple Stone Forest?"

Ross said, "The pollution of the Golden Apple Stone Forest carries the divine power of the three goddesses, and ordinary purification spells are ineffective in purifying it."

Ross glanced at Ethel inside the sealed land.

If I remember correctly, it was that old bastard Ethel who gave them the golden apple, which caused the three goddesses to fight each other.

"Old Deng, who ended up getting the Apple of Gold?" Ross asked.

Nobody got it.

"Where did the golden apple go?"

"do not know."
